A very relaxing & quiet property; good AC in room (it gets very hot in Palm Springs). 2 pools; big rooms; tiled floors. TV could be better (They have a limited # of TV channels to watch - around 12. I like to watch TV so would have preferred a few dozen. Also, no HD channels.) Continental breakfast.

The rooms were very well laid out, extremely clean and well presented with a lovely view directly onto the pool area. Small patio to grassed area outside of room with chairs. Lovely clean pool and hot tub. Sauna and steam room facilities and small air conditioned gym. Nice continental breakfast included and free internet provided. Staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Manager went out of his way to help with hints and tips for our onward journey. The best hotel we stayed in on our visit. Even better than the Hilton in Las Vegas for formality. Highl recommended.

Our room was extremely large, well-appointed, very clean with microwave, frig, table and chairs, and a large couch. The bed was extremely comfortable. The large, adult pool and jacuzzi were steps from our room. The grounds are palm-tree lined with flowers, and grass. Our dog loved it, too. The location is quiet with a great view.Thomases' English muffins and delicious orange juice are included in the complementary breakfast. We enjoyed eating on the patio. The lobby has free, computer use. Billy Reed's across the street has delicious food with daily specials.

The staff at the hotel were extremely accomodating and very pleasant! They shuttled me everywhere I needed to go and in fact took me to the wedding that I was in town to attend! It was great service and everyone was very nice! Thank you!!

Older facility, and it shows its age. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable; overall, the experience was good.

Stayed one night with friends. Great value. Room was clean, nice. Loved the down patio overlooking the 2 pools and beautiful grounds. Nice breakfast. Would definately stay again.

I go to Palm Springs to visit my Mom who is in a nursing home. I go there to see her and my brother who live there. The trip is more out of desire to check in than pleasure. The TV is a source of catching up with what is going on the S. CA. The booklet in my room said the the LA channels were accessible. NOT SO, even after I call 3 time to ask why them they never showed up on the channel selections or as stated in the room booklet. I don't think I will return even though the comfort of the bed was better than a differ place I have stayed at in the past. Disappointed

Nice room, well-kept grounds. The bed was OK, but not great. The continental breakfast was meager, but adequate, but the food trays were not kept full. Overall a good experience.

I was in Palm Springs for Surgery. I booked the Hotel for 2 days, not knowing how long I would have to stay in town. I ended up being able to go home a day early and the Hotel willingly charged me a "late checkout" instead of the extra day. Great customer service!!!

Room decor and fixtures were somewhat dated but clean, and beds were very comfortable. There was a mini-fridge, microwave, coffemaker, hairdryer and $1.50 water bottles in room. TV had Showtime. For some reason, heater kicked in and started humming real loud around 2am and woke us up. Front desk staff was professional and efficient. Breakfast had slightly more selection than most continental fare (they had microwable oatmeal and breakfast sandwiches) but no designated area where you can eat and sit other than lobby furniture or outside by the pool (still cold at this time of they year). Did not use pools or jacuzzi so can't comment. Overall, nothing special but good for price we paid. Next time, will probably stay within walking distance of downtown shops.

We used their airport shuttle which picked us up and brought us to the hotel promptly. When looking at the site and the hotel description it boasts of on arrival fresh fruits and coffee. There was none. My boyfriend and I saw cookies behind the counter but none was offered to us. We were barely greeted by the staff. No one so far had been very welcoming or nice. We checked in and had a room on the second floor. No elevator, so had to drag bags up one flight. We got into the room and it looked just like in the pictures (what a relief after reading some of the other reviews) The room was clean and everything worked. The room was bigger that your average size hotel room giving us much more room. There are 2 pools one for adults and one for kids. There were kids in both pools which was a little annoying. There was a continental breakfast which was just what i expected: cereal, juice, bagels, muffins. It was sufficient for a breakfast snack. Upon check out the hotel attempted to charge be again for the room even though they I already paid through orbitz. That was quickly fixed. After we left my bf realized he left his book in the room. We called the hotel and they offered to mail it to us which was great. For the price good room and location for the money but staff could have been nicer and more engaging.

My daughters and I stayed here for the first time in early November and we loved it! It was reasonably priced, with two pools (one adult, one family) each with jacuzzis, and a workout room, steam room and sauna. There is an internet-connected computer in the lobby that can be used for free. The landscaping is beautiful and the place is very clean. All rooms face one of the pools. An average Continental breakfast is included. It's about 1 1/2 miles from downtown PS and there is a great restaurant across the street called Billy Reed's with specials every night and terrific service. Monday was prime rib. Will definitely stay again!

We chose this hotel/location so we could visit Joshua Tree National Park and visit family in the area. The grounds were beautiful and clean with two outdoor pools to relax in and around at night. Housekeeping did not come until early afternoon. Recycle bins not available, this surprised us. Otherwise, clean, big comfortable room. Would definitely return here again. Service was very friendly. Good cookies, too!

Staff was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was better than places you go and pay $15.00. The free paper is nice but we would prefer the local paper over the USA paper as they only have a paper you have to share at the desk. We loved the private adult pool area as it was away from the family pool. The rooms are very clean but a little dated but very large and comortable. We satyed here once before with our dog and had a good experience back than as well. We will be back as the price is very reasonable.

This place was awful! We had to wait in line for 1/2 hour to check in, it was dirty, and a small pool that was right by the busy street. They provided a coffee maker without the coffee pot, when we called to ask them to bring one up, they never came. We checked in at 4pm and left at 9 pm..... Way overpriced for what it is! reminded me of a dirty motel...

I was recently in Palm Springs for business - and finding a hotel that is exceptionally clean, well staffed, and priced reasonably for corporate extended stays was difficult - UNTIL I ran across Shilo Inn. The conitnental breakfast is served with a smile and fresh every morning by a delightful and PERSONABLE young lady and the front desk is run by very professional and warm employees. Without question, the Shilo Inn is one of my favorite places to stay. The rooms are extremely comfortable and clean every day, the landscaping is kept up on a daily basis. There are 2 pools, a fitness center with sauna and steam room, and there is laundry available to those who stay longer like I did. The staff is EXTREMELY courteous and goes out of their way to accomodate their guests, and there is even security, which makes me feel very safe. Traveling and being so far from home for so long becomes hectic, but staying in a hotel that treats their clients like family makes it so much easier. I would HIGHLY recommend the Shilo Inn to ANYBODY traveling to Palm Springs, CA. The facility is immaculate, and management and employees are exceptional! I would expect to pay MUCH more for these ammenities and service...This hotel is ideal for ANY type of traveler!

I thought the hotel had a nice layout. We had a room facing the pool in the adults only part of the hotel (which was great). The breakfast was alright and only consisted or mini muffins, english muffins, cereal, and yogurt. The room was nice and clean. The hotel was about a 3 minute drive from the downtown area which was cool.

We arrived after 13 hours on the road driving and were greeted by a room that was not air conditioned. Mind you this is Palm Springs and it was 115 degrees outside. As we turned on the air conditioning unit to cool down the room, we "dripped" our way through unpacking our luggage. We were calmly re-assured by the staff that our room would cool down in a few hours as they handed us an industrial strength fan to use "just in case." We went out to dinner in the hopes that the room would cool down, when we arrived back to a less than cool room we ended up sleeping on a bed that could be compared with a helicopter landing due to the noise and impact of the fan! So when planning your next trip make your reservation here if you're training for a hostage rescue mission in Columbia...you will be well prepared.

The check-in process began at 3PM, was told nothing was ready to come back in an hour, came back in a hour to a lobby full of people, stood in line 50 minutes only to be told, your room that was promised, still is not ready, so we will put you in another room, in the family NOISY section
