Great location, friendly staff, near dining and shopping.

The location was amazing. No storage in rooms, and too many conventioners and lots of people! Hotel was nice, worked well for our children. The pool was small for how many people are using it, but very kid friendly. Staff showed preferential treatment to some, like reserving chairs for multiple people. Check in/parking were very confusing, and the hotel itself ishuge with lots of people/conventioners walking around 24/7. Very busy place.

Had a very good stay at the Sheraton. Would definitely stay there again.

We got married while we stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki. I was a little concerned but the Sheraton ended up being great! The room was beautiful, the staff were so accomodating & friendly and the location was perfect! Steps from the beach, shopping, and so many amazing restaurants. Tip - If you want the most romantic, incredible dinner, go next door to Orchids at the Halekulani Hotel. Unbelievable service, food and atomosphere!

My family and I stayed here last year 2006, for Christmas and loved it. Sheraton Wakiki was remodeling the rooms (while we were there) but we were able to stay in one that was already updated, so the stay was comfortable. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we went ahead ahead booked another ten day trip this December (2007). While booking the trip thru Travel agency, it made No mention of the Childrens Video Arcade - Being Closed, Childrens Activity Center - Being Closed, Hotel Lounge overlooking the beach - Being Closed, Roundtable Pizza restaraunt - Being Closed, and the Bathrooms near the Ocean Terrace - Being Closed, as well as more construction and remodeling going on again like last year. This time even more places were being remodeled . So needless to say, We were disappointed with both the Hotel and Travel agency for Not making us aware of what was open and what places would not be. I believe the Sheraton Wakiki tried to make our stay a little better by upgrading us to an unremodeled, run-down, suite on the sixth floor (RM 602). Shower/ Tub did not drain. Even after the maintenance people tried to fix it. No fan in bathroom, therefore, really stagnant. This room would be nice if it was remodeled. We were told the two couches pulled out into sleepers, they didn't. Cushions were chained to the couches? We went with another family of four that are friends of ours. They also went on the trip last year with us. There room's plumbing backup out of the toilet and tub. It was gross. We looked forward to having the activities like an arcade and children's center available so the parents could have some free adult time in the Hotel lounge. No Lounge. We were all disappointed.

Location of the hotel is great, convenient to shopping, restaurants and transportation of all types. Pool was great, right next to beautiful Waikiki beach, with stunning scenery and pretty landscaping. The hotel lobby is under construction so the hotel will only get better when that's finished. My only complaint was the hotel food options were quite expensive. The Beanery coffee shop on the side street had good quick breakfast options for half the price. Would stay here again.

The Sheraton Waikiki has three things: LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! This hotel is next to the Royal Hawaiin Shopping Center and adjacent to the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and the Waikiki Beachwalk. We were absolutely thrilled with the hotel. It was still undergoing renovations while we were there but it didn't deter our stay at all. Check-in was efficient and friendly (she even upgraded our room at no extra charge!) All rooms have been renovated and ours was quite spacious and very clean. Nice flat-screen TV and decent sized bathroom. We had a partial oceanview and a nice view of downtown Waikiki. Our lanai was quite spacious too and we had no problems with outside noise at all. The one thing that we loved about the hotel was the new pool area!! Two spas, two pools, waterfalls and waterslides! So much fun! You can spend the entire day here with a beautiful view of Waikiki Beach. Definitely will stay here again and nowhere else! Great value for your money and amenities were plentiful.

was not told of remodel still going on. Very noisey and not all rooms updated. Only one bathroom for all pool area and lobby area. Almost no beach area to use and crowded. Food and drinks overpriced. Much nicer and less expensive places to stay.

Initially we had booked a City View room, which is not recommended. However, when we went to our initial room it had not been serviced so we were upgraded to a Oceanfront room on the 24th floor and given a two day comp pass for their self parking garage. Our room was the perfect spot for viewing Ala Moana's Firework Spectacle and not to mention the rooms are gorgeous. It is decorated in light tones with beautiful decor and design. We had a great time and would definetly stay at this hotel should we have time to squeeze in anther vacation.

Amazing location with what feels like private beach access. Great building design/layout. Pretty much perfect with the exception of not providing robes. TV stuck in panoramic mode was a little annoying. Amazing location with what feels like private beach access (even though it's public). we stood in line for at least 20 minutes to check in. our room, an ocean front on the 30th floor, was in dire need of maintenance. everything was stained -- carpet, upholstery, caulking around tub and baseboard, etc. tub was badly chipped -- ugly! all in all, a good place to avoid.

We stayed there for 3 nights. We had a partial ocean view room which had a great view. Rooms were a bit small. The Hotel Lobby was beautiful. They had great entertainment in the evenings by the pool (music, hula dances etc). Great location which is close to a lot of activities. This hotel is right by the ocean but it has a retaining wall separating it from the ocean. You have to walk a little bit to go to the beach. They charge you 15/day parking which caught us by surprise. I guess all hotels in Waikiki do that since parking space is a premium there. Moreover the parking spots are too narrow.Everything in waikiki was too expensive for us. This hotel is definitely not for the budget conscious people.

Amazing location. Complementary toothpaste is a nice touch. Terrible hotel design/layout. Outdated and somewhat dingy decor. Overpriced. Concierge was great, especially the surfboard storage. Location is excellent being right next to the beach. Building design/layout is terrible with strange elevator locations. Outdated and somewhat dingy decor. Overpriced.

On our recent 3 night stay (Sept. 2008) we were disappointed on several occasions while there. First, the construction accross from our room was never mentioned in any of our correspondence with the hotel before our stay, even though we asked and were assured that no construction was underway. The hotel failed to mention that the hotel next door was closed for a full remodel of the entire hotel(for another year). We asked to be moved to a room where there was less noise, but we were told we could not due to time constraints on our stay. Apparently, since we were only staying three nights this was held against us. Second, the buffet was unsanitary and awful. The food was just like Denny' and the cockroach serving himself in the salad bar area sent us out to eat the rest of our stay there. Finally, at the Sand Bar, we each ordered two Pina Colada's with a floater and were charged $65.00, even though we asked for the cheap local rum to be used on top. Our complaint to the bar manager rang hollow and he walked away from me without ever answering my questions. The Sheraton used to be a great hotel, but I would never stay here again and I reccomend other travelers avoid getting the Hawaiin Blues at this run down dump.

The swimming pool was closed almost the whole time we were there. Also swimming pool is very small for such a nice and large hotel Also buffet was really bad

Excellent beach side location. Still undergoing renovation; and expensive parking. Great location, beautiful pool, friendly staff, should be fabulous when renovation are complete.
