This was my third visit to the Sheraton. I came to see my son, who lives in West Philly and works in Old City, so the location is excellent for the both of us! We have always enjoyed our stay here and will be returning!

Great location. Very comfortable, large room with a luxurious bed and very close to Penn.

This hotel was the best hotel if I had to recommend one in the city. From the time my daughter and I arrived, the front desk was more than helpful and courteous. The room was clean and very very nice beds. The room service was fast, hot and very good and had free internet with computer in the room. I would definitely room there again!

This was our first trip to Philadelphia, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our hotel. From the moment we checked in it was a great experience. (Second only to Disney resort hotels...and we are big Disney fans!) The staff was always friendly and helpful. Anytime we had a question, or asked for a recommendation, they were right on with their information. (And happy to provide it.) The cleaning staff was also very friendly and efficient. Our room was always very clean when we returned in the late afternoon/evening. Every person we encountered that worked for this hotel was professional, friendly, and helpful. I find this very appealing in a hotel. I did notice a few signs of wear in the hall on our floor (i.e. slightly torn wallpaper, small marks on the walls). But, overall, the hotel is in very good condition. We also really enjoyed the location. It's about 30 blocks from Center City where the tourist attractions are located, but there is always a taxi outside the hotel to take you anywhere you need to go. And since it was located in the university district, there wasn't as much going on as in Center City (due to summer for college students). Plenty of good restaurants nearby and we never had to wait for a table. we would definitely recommend this hotel to friends, and stay again if we return to Philly.

I booked this hotel super last minute and usually prefer to stay in boutique/ historic hotels. So I was skeptical going into it but was overly impressed by the room, service, the parking was cheap and easy, room service was quick and the computer in the room was infinitely helpful. Fitness center is small but nice. This place is super classy for a Sheraton. I would absolutely recommend it to friends. I am a single 23 year old female who was traveling alone to interview at UPenn and I felt completely safe in this location.

It was a very nice hotel in a perfect location for our needs. It was a good hotel with nice andhelpful staff.

I had been warned that this hotel was old and not worth the price. Quite to the contrary, the room was comfortable, with included internet access either wirelessly or on the computer in the room. The beds were comfortable. My only reservation is the crowded bath room. For a city hotel the price was ok. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

If you want to stay downtown, this is the place. I was there on my business and had to be all over the area, and everything was on walking distance. The Lobby area was very nice and the desk staff polite. Customer service is just great! People are very friendly. They know how to treat their customers. Room was clean, renovated, modern and a very decent size. I am always very picky about beds, but the Sheraton has some of the most comfortable I've ever had in a hotel. Really enjoyed my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to visitors.

The hotel location and parking wer convenient. The hotel staff semed stressed. The maid serevice was non existent; my room wans't cleaned at all. The night manager did apologize for the mix up and offered me fresh towels. The fire alarm went off 3 times one evening. We had to go walk down from the 16th floor 3 times. There was no annoncement from the hotel management that they wer having trouble with the alarms and the hotel manager actually yelled at a customer when he was pressing for answers. There was a mix up with my reservation and it took 4 reservation clerks to finally resolve the issue.

Computer in each room with free internet and printing. Front desk could have been nicer. Other than the front desk not being all that welcoming it was a near perfect experience. Lots of parking at the hotel ($20 for all day), flat screen and PC in each room, free internet and printing. There is a pool but unfortunately it was under renovation so we could not use it.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, had my reservation details right the moment I arrived and were excellent throughout my stay. The room was small but comfortable, bed great, desk a good size and internet access was free and reliable. Bathroom was very clean, good water pressure, iron and ironing board in the closet came in very handy, lots of hangers including much-appreciated pants-hangers.My only complaint was that public areas particularly the hallways were shabby. Markings on the walls and a general sense that the hallways didn't get cleaned very often or well were bothersome; it's not very appetizing to come back from a late meeting and see the neighbor's breakfast tray still outside their door from twelve hours earlier. General wear and tear obvious in all common areas except the lobby: sloppy paint jobs, outdated carpets, wallpaper with visibly peeling edges. The business center is no-frills but 24/7.The hotel restaurant was good for a no-brainer breakfast but the staff seemed a little surprised to have any business.

Great hotel; the most wonderful thing about it is the in-room web-ready computer.

Amazing fitness room - recently renovated, built-in TVs on the machines, free weights and plyometric balls. The hallways are shoddy - rooms are very nice in comparison.

friendly staff, clean hotel and room, comfortable beds with feather blankets and plenty of feather pillows. safe and plentiful on site parking. safe and clean surrounding areas with plenty of security and police presence. our dog was welcome and treated as a guest. the pool was closed for the season. the shower head was great with decent shower curtains and very clean. we will stay here again. in room comptuer was really nice. i really cant get over how comfortable the bed was. although the tv didnt have very many channels which was fine with us. the room service prices we were given seemed very reasonable although we went out to eat instead since there are so many great places locally to eat. Pod was great and a real experience.

What a wonderful surprise to find I was so close to the place where I needed to be the day after my arrival. Close to the Amtrak station on 30th Street, the hotel's location was close enough for me to walk back for my train while enjoying a stroll through the campuses of several universities in the area. The hotel itself is lovely and the front-desk staff incredibly helpful and accommodating. They knew exactly where I needed to be and gave me a map. On the down side, I never was able to get online despite very lengthy directions on how to use wireless Internet in the room. I was also a little surprised that there was nothing in the way of a complimentary continental breakfast considering the cost of the room. At least there was a Starbuck's in the same block.

Computer in the room was a nice bonus! Decor was a bit outdated.

The location to Penn or Drexel U. is terrific. If one is cost conscious, it is definitely pricey. Any problems we had were promptly attended to and the housekeeping staff we interfaced was friendly and tried to find answers to our questions we had about the area. We had come a great distance and specifically chose the hotel for its location to Drexel University, only 3 blocks and easily and safely walkable.

This hotel was reasonably priced for an in town hotel. The room was equipped with a computer and internet connection free of charge. Maid service was slow and not particularly thorough.

Location. Pool was not ready, no air on in weight room (77 degree). Nice - basic, good location for university - not as spacious as Inn at Penn.
Date of Stay:
July, 2007
The staff was very courteous and everything was very clean. This hotel is approximately 10 minutes from everything I needed.
