Very disappointed. My wired internet connection did not work at all during the 3 nights that I stay at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk. My wireless connection only worked on the 3rd night. Of course, talking to the people at the front desk was a complete waste of time. I would never stay here again.

From the minute I arrived at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk, I was pleased. The parking attendant was extremely friendly, The front desk lady also was very nice. I booked thru a online company and even though I'm sure it was a discounted rate, I asked for and got a riverside room. The room was clean and spacious. The king bed was very comfortable and had an ample supply of pillows. The view from the balcony of the hotel was great, I could see the University of Tampa, which was the reason for my trip. I did not eat in any of the on site restaurants, but did go in and they too looked good. I would definitely stay there again.

The holel is in need of some upgrading as the carpeting in the dining room where we had dinner needed to be cleaned or replaced. It appeared that the hotel had been purchased by Sheraton but a lot of areas needed to be cleaned and or replaced. The outdoor bar/eating area that overlooks the river needed to have the brick pavers cleaned. They were showing mildew and a little bleach could definitely go a long way. This hotel needs better overall management as first impressions and upkeep mean a lot to the traveler. We stayed there as we had tickets to the performing arts center that night and the Sheraton is within a 5 block walking distance to the center. This is a real plus and should be advertised as it could help draw guests for pleasure not just business. The dinner we had at the restaurant though was one of the best seafood dinners I've had out and we are going back this Friday to stay again as we can walk to the performing arts center to see the opera. The Sheraton on Sand Key is an example of what a Sheraton hotel should strive for. The staff at the Sheraton Riverwalk doesn't pay close enough attention to the details of what the traveler would like to see. The balcony privacy panels between rooms were broken and the chairs outside were dirty. The sliding glass door windows hadn't been cleaned and the pool area needed the pavers pressure washed as well. The front desk staff was pleasant and the dining room staff most accommodating. The best buffet breakfast we have found in a hotel. We are trying it out on April 25 again and will write after this next stay.

I was in Tampa for a medical convention at the Mariott Waterside and when that hotel was full, I called around other downtown hotels for alternatives. The Sheraton promised a walkable distance (which being about 0.7 miles away, it was, but not necessarily for a single woman at night), and also promised a shuttle service for anything in a 3 mile radius. They did indeed have a shuttle but it was VERY unreliable: the first morning I waited over 1 hour for it to come and another night they told us that it had closed and we had to walk back. [...], the nightstaff desk, acted in a completely unacceptable manner, trying to argue and fight with us about the shuttle, not only on the phone when we requested it, but later when we walked into the front lobby.The rooms were nice enough, but anything that faces the downtown is very noisy due to the city streets.On the Sunday afternoon, there was a private party by the pool. The front desk staff informed me of this when I checked in, and I suspected a sophisticated crowd. Boy, was I ever wrong. This pool party was more like a recreation of MTV Spring Break- half naked teenagers and loud music forced me to shift my work away from my room and the hotel elsewhere for the afternoon.The cleaning staff was mediocre at best- they simply came into the room and changed the towels and made the bed. They were very noisy early in the morning, and their supervisor would enter the rooms immediately after knocking and not wait for a response.As a single female traveller, I would not recommend this hotel!!

Valet parking, though expensive, was worth it due to convenience and courteous valet staff, good location. Not accomodating to children, would have been nice to have a small fridge, front desk staff could be more friendly.

"The outstanding attention at the front desk combined with the restaurants, room{ decor needs just alittle updating} great balcony view and a fantastic bed/pillow selection makes this a excellent choice of hotel for the price. A change of color to brighten up the hallways would take away the gloomy feel walking to your room.Easy driving access and a great location. Would recommend it to anyone! Will be returning in December and my choice of hotel to frequent when in Tampa. "

the hotel staff was wonderful, the room balcony was filthy, the bathroom had hair all over it. we heard lots of sirens through out the evening and the night. the hotel does not accomodate airport services. but they do accomodate shuttle service within 3 miles around town. we did not know you had to pay an additional fee of $16.00 a night for parking. it was nice to be able to park our car there for $5.00 a night while we were on our cruise, and be shuttled to and from the cruise terminal.

"Received better welcome instructions at many Motel 6. Thought a Sheraton would be ""top notch"" Leftover beer bottles on the balcony from previous guests. Balcony windows had not been washed in years. Public washroom was soiled and debris littered. Very limited walking distance dining in the evening (Quiznos was about it !)"

it was a nice hotel. everything was over priced though. the room was just an average hotel room...nothing fancy. the restaurant was just average....nothing great about the food, but it wasn't bad either. it was pricey.

The Hotel was nice, but it's in the business district so you had to go a little way for things to do at night. We were going to a concert at the Times Forum, and the hotel has a shuttle service that will take you there.
