Being a brand-new hotel, it was very nice and up to date. The room size was great, the bed was very comfortable and I wish I could have taken the bathroom home with me. The room overall was very spacious and super clean. The only thing my wife complained about was the air conditioning made a pulsating sound but she is a very light sleeper. The waiter at the restaurant wasn't very attentive. We were seated indoors but noticed that he was serving tables outside in the patio as well which made us wonder if they were short staffed, especially since it seemed that the manager and receptionist were trying to fill in. We received our meal in good time, and everything we ordered was delicious however it took a while to get our check. Overall, it was a good experience though and since we weren't in any hurry, it was nice to relax and not feel rushed like some hotels make you feel.

It was quite and clean and they had starbucks coffee in the room. You had to pay for parking. Clean friendly and accomodating.

From beginning to end, our stay at the Sheraton was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and helpful (our 4 yr old son had gotten car sick so the front desk ordered soda, ice water and a large basket of crackers to be delivered to our room - all at no charge, I might add). They suggested a room on the first floor close to the beautiful pool (which I normally would niot take because of security concerns) that was absolutely safe and quiet. The room was exquisite: very large, bright, comfortable, immaculate, and secure. The hotel has it's own entry into Legoland which was great for us. They don't really have a family restaurant in the hotel (unfortunate since they're connected to Legoland) but the concierge gave us a good list of suggestions in Carlsbad. We had dinner next to the beach and watched the sun set, then returned to the hotel to swim. There are fees for using the pool (and for parking) but they are negligible. Great stay - fabulous hotel!

Location, cleanliness, service was great. Nothing. Great location, close to village, close to beach. Wonderful service from the moment of arrival to departure!

We chose this hotel for its private entrance to Legoland, and we were not disappointed. We were travelling with our toddler, and enjoyed the convenience of taking a break for nap time and easily returning to the park after dinner. PROS: The hotel was new and very clean. The staff was relaxed and friendly. The kids menu selections were great (i.e., bowl of grapes). The views from its hilltop location were nice. The pool was nicely heated, and the seating in the pool area was well done. CONS: We paid for an ocean view room, but the cloud cover prevented our seeing it. Our room was never properly cleaned because they did not get to us until after 3 p.m. either day, and we had already returned for naps. The rooms are low on luxury: combination desk/dresser/amoire units feel cubicle-like and probably won't wear well, balconies are very narrow, bedding is rough and does not fit well on mattresses (mattress coveres bunch up and "duvets" slip off easily), room service delivery involved a lot of shrink wrap. We would consider staying here again for its location, but would investigate other options first.

Very nice room and television. Expensive restaurant with few room service options. Nice hotel and the rooms were very nice. Had to pay $12.00 for self parking and the items that I purchased at the gift shop were way overpriced.

This hotel is recommended by Legoland because it is built next to it. It has its own private entrance to the park. It is about 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Very convenient. Save $ parking fee at Legoland. However, the hotel charges $ per day for parking. Use it or not. It also charges $ for resort fee which is for internet, pool and exercise facilities. It has room for ocean view but I do not think it is worth for the extra cost. It has a nice underground parking lot but it is always full. It has a big pool with deepest height at 5ft which is good for family stay. Its restaurant is kid friendly. Menu selection is good. The bathroom is very roomy. The 2 queen room has a lot of room for a family of 4. The 2nd and 3rd floor has balcony. I definitely will stay there again. I first tried to book via X site but it showed no vacancy. Then I tried X,I found room for our stay. In additional, its location is not on GPS yet. The hotel web site has direction to the location.

The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel was conveniently located. There was a foul odor in the bathroom.

Not a warm welcoming place. Acted as though they were doing us a favor letting us stay with them. Charged for services we didn't use.

Great location. Hidden charges for resort facilities and parking. They did not have my room reservation when I arrived. It took me almost an hour to get my room and to check in. I was aggravated that I was charged $12 per day for parking plus a $12 resort charge.

Clean, new, big rooms. Understaffed. In the morning there was no one at the front desk or in the gift shop. Great hotel. Really enjoyed it.

Location was convenient to Legoland. There weren't many restaurants or stores nearby. The hotel itself is very nice. It's just too far from anything other than Legoland.

It's the little things, like free water and clean bathrooms that make me happy. The parking was pretty removed from our room. We had a great stay - the rooms were quiet, comfortable and clean.

Awesome location, and upscale hotel. Price was a little steep. Checking in was very easy and the clerk was extremely friendly. Parking lot was close to hotel buildings and they allowed us to park on their property after checking out to visit Legoland. Which was walking distance to rear entrance.

Clean, friendly, comfortable, quality linens, bath, room. Gift shop was over priced for coffee, snacks, juice/water. Stay was pleasant. Off the beaten path, but not too far from what you need including highway. Above average room and furnishings/TV, etc. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Bartender was great. Food was only average with small portions. didn't receive a paper one morning, which was inconvenient, but not a day ruiner.

Peaceful, new and beautiful. This hotel is 30 minutes outside of San Diego located in Carlsbad just above the Flower Field and right next to Lego land. The property looks out on the ocean on the horizon. It is a quiet area so peaceful as compared to downtown San Diego.

Access to Lego land from hotel. Limited restaurants near by other than hotel dining. This hotel is perfect for a family getaway to Lego land. The private Lego land entrance eliminates the waiting in long lines for tickets or the lines to enter the park. The pool and jacuzzi were also very enjoyable after a long day of playing with Lego's. The hotel staff were friendly and the hotel room was nice. We definitely plan to return.
