Great complimentary shuttle service to the metro. The choice of restaraunts in the immediate area were very limited so having a refrigerator in the room would have been nice. Unfortunately we did rent a car before we knew that the surrounding location was not car friendly and that public transportation was the way to go. We had to pay $18.00 a night for a car that sat in a parking garage of a hotel we were already paying to stay there.

Clean. High parking fees. I was very disapointed at the unadvertised high parking fees of 18$ a day. I felt that was not factored in to the rate we got considering I paid similar in the DC area and had no parking fees.

D.C. is spendy! That being said, this hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The service was excellent and the entire staff could not have been any friendlier!! I will stay here anytime I visit the D.C. area!!!

Wonderful amenities, ie. transport to airport, Metro, staff especially friendly & helpful. Service at the restaurant was extremely slow. Convenient & safe location. Great amenities. Food at restaurant was good. Room very clean and well stocked.

Online travel website recommended this hotel as an add on to my airline tickets. It worked out to a very reasonable $**/night, which was a huge savings over the conference hotel down the road ($***/night). The biggest drawback to the Sheraton National is that it is not on the metro line, but a shuttle leaves every half-hour to go to the Pentagon City station and National Airport. Once you're at Pentagon City (3 minutes away), you can easily get to anyplace in DC. The staff of the hotel was very courteous and always eager to help. The room was clean and more than adequate, including a large flat screen TV. Internet service in room cost $12/day (how come this is free in a Motel 6 or Super 8?). Hotel bar was decent, although they were completely out of any draft beer.

My grandaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed out stay at your hotel. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. We took the evening tour of DC, I realize the time but could use a little more time at the stops, I don't walk as quickly as I used to and missed seeing some of the things in order to get to the bus on time. The only thing I couldn't find was "Thunder Alley" where the concessionaires for Rolling thunder were located.

The beds and bedding were supremely comfortable. Not really a complaint, but hotel food is always expensive. Very comfortable, very clean, gracious staff~friendly and helpful. Hugh portions of food, not good for me as I've had gastric by-pass surgery.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The location was excellent, the breakfast was delicious, inexpensive, a good variety of foods,& the service was very good. Our room was cleaned daily, the staff was friendly, professional, & kept our room stocked with needed items. The hotel did not have an available brochure for the public, & I wanted to send one to a relative; also I noticed that a clock was not down stairs in the lobby or close to the front desk. Several times I had to check my telephone for the time. The transportation staff was friendly, and timely. Last night (5/27/09), we called the front desk for security, because of the loud noise from 12:00 (midnight) until (3:00am). I reported it to the front desk this morning. I enjoyed my stay & I plan to return.

The bed and bedding was great. Didn't like having to pay for internet access in my room.

The hotel is in good shape and clean, and the service is good. The lounge and restaurant are fairly pleasant, but a bit expensive. The hotel has a shuttle to the Pentagon City Metro and to the airport (Reagan/National) that is very reliable -- it does leave every 1/2 hour on the dot. The shuttles saved me money on taxis, which was nice. The fitness center is nice, but the pool is surprisingly small. Also, for travelers with pets, I am under the impression that you can have a dog up to 80 lbs in your room, if you crate it while you are gone. For those without pets, I didn't see any, nor did my room smell like an animal had been there.

The room was well appointed. It had style, felt new. The bar, not private and cozy, too well lit. No versus in the bar. Our stay was brief butI would have liked to stay longer. We were happily surprised. New, contemporary, classy, done in good taste.

The hotel staff treated me like royalty! After first assigning me to a room the maid was still cleaning, the front desk quickly and cheerfully upgraded me to a Club Room to compensate for my inconvenience. That eagerness to serve permeated every encounter with the front desk and in fact everyone from shuttle drivers to maids smiled and performed above their duties to please us. After long days of touring the National Mall, I found the bed comfortable, the shuttle service reliable, the rooftop pool refreshing and the food at the hotel restaurant delicious. I have only two critical observations: I would like to have had an in-room or hotel safe to protect valuable personal items; and since the hotel is not located near dining, patrons should either eat before coming back for the night or plan to eat at the hotel restaurant for the duration of their visit. Thanks again to the staff of the Sheraton National. I will definitely tell 10 friends (and more!) about your hotel!

This was my first time in the DC area and I chose a great hotel. It had a view of the Pentagon, Arlington National Cematary as well as the Washington monument and the Nations Capital. The hotel shuttle was great in taking you back and forth to the mall and airport. Make sure you get a room high up on the "even" number side for a wonderful view. I would love to stay there again.

The hotel staff was extremely accomodating and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The hotel exceeded my expectations on every level. Most impressive was the hotel staff. They were extremely helpful in pointing out the highlights of the area and explaining the best methods of transportation.

The hotel was nice with a very aggressive teaser price however when you consider that the pool/exercise facility was out of service, internet access was $*/day and parking was $*/day the price listed was worse than other comparable hotels. The facility was inspiring and clean so I am confused why they felt compelled to choose shady tactics for pricing. Just be honest, inform us when things are out of service and include the mandatory extras in the price.
