The hotel was decent. I usually stay at 4+ star hotels so i'm probly too picky. Wasn't very impressed with the rooms or cleanliness (as far as carpets, utilities, etc). Hotel staff was very helpful, no complaints there. Really enjoyed the meal I had at the lobby restaurant, small servings but very tasteful.

We stayed at the Sheraton Long Island Hotel110 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway, Hauppauge, NY about 3 weeks ago. Our festive weekend for our family was ruined, the hotel's lack of attention to detail ( did not have 2 cribs avaiable upon arrival for my grand daughters )They/we were promised each time that we checked with the front desk that there would be"NO PROBLEM"(5x) when they arrived for their late check in No CRIBS. Both babies would not go to sleep, we were up all night. you can image how tired we were the next day (the day of our big celebration) To add insult to injury I asked many times to have my credit card charged for the 4 rooms we reserved for the weekend,"NO PROBLEM" Guess what each of my children's credit cards were charged. I was also promised a room upgrade each time that I called to confirm the cribs, arrival time & credit charges, "NO Problem" When we checked in Nothing availabe for our first night, would move us the next day.WONDERFUL. The inefficiency & poor organization demonstrated by the Sheraton staff is inexcusable & unaccepable.

Great location for easy find and continured travel. Desk personnel were somewhat distracted but efficient. Bartender needed to be flagged down for service and closed up the back bar and cleaned up early - sending the message "Please leave as I want to go". Also had problem finding service at the Starbucks stand. Nice, clean, quiet and comfortable facilities.

Staff was very polite, professional and helpful. It was an overnight stay, so we spent most of the time in the room and only went out for dinner. The room was very clean, comfortable and we got the room that we requested with no extra fees.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights. The front desk staff was friendly and put me in a room away from groups who were staying for the weekend.

The Smithtown Sheraton Hotel has been a fixture on Long Island for many years. The appear to upgrade it from time to time, and provide good value for your money. I particularly liked the same-day dry cleaning. They could have charged an arm and a leg, but they didn't. The prices were compatible with any dry cleaner you might find. I would have liked Internet access at no charge, but they did do one thing that impressed me. You were allowed to access the Internet in their business center, and print out your boarding passes at no charge. The staff was professional and accomodating... even at 4:00 AM. I'd recommend it to my friends.

Sheraton Hotel is wonderful and easy to find on Long Island. They even allow pets. There should be a rating for that. They treated us and our two dogs with respect and considered our accomodations. We are definately comming back again.

The main lobby was nice. The hallways were dark and dirty. The elevators were missing a ceiling and debris was all over the floors. I was totally disappointed about the quality of the hotel.

The room was clean, bed very comfortable, location to freeway and local towns very good. The cooling could have been better. Although we never complained about it to the hotel so all in all it was okay. I could positively recommend this hotel to family or friends.

The hotel room that I stayed in had a small leak and the heater didn't work. The hotel comped us breakfast on the morning of checkout.

Had a nice lobby area. Very deceptive though. I would describe this hotel as a Best Western, but with the Sheraton name and a nicer lobby. This hotel's rooms, hallways, and amenities need to be updated drastically. This hotel is not a 3.5 star hotel and doesn't deserve the Sheraton name. I would have rather stayed at a brand new Best Western, or Comfort Inn than this old Sheraton.
