We were married here and it was beautiful.

The hotel itself was great. The common areas: pool, fitness center, and grounds all wonderful. The room was clean but a little out dated with the fixtures. The gym was 24 hrs very convenient. The room had a refrigerator and safe that was a plus, as well as balcony that was great and wonderful views. Parking was $10 a day, that seemed to be the case everywhere-even higher at other places. Location was good on the south end of Ali drive, away from traffic. I would stay at this hotel again, without a doubt. They have a luaa at the hotel on Monday nights-did not get a chance to go but the show could be seen from lobby areas and it looked pretty good.

The Sheraton was a fairly short drive from the airport, although there are no signs, so make sure that you have directions. Our room was clean and we could see a bit of ocean if you looked around the machinery outside our window. We planned to have lunch there upon arriving, but the only restaurant that was open had a very limited menu so we set off for town, which was close. Later that night we ordered something from another of the restaurants and it was tasty. Just make sure you aren't in a hurry because service was slow. The Bliss bath products and comfortable bed were our favorite parts.

Nickle & Dime you to death. Start with parking, $10 to self park $18 to valet. Don't care about handicapped, they pay as well. Internet, $13 per day in your room, free in the lobby. Food costs were out of sight. We could hear the next door couples conversation and as soon as bey bey kids started moving around about 8 a.m., you could forget sleeping, too noisy. Families with kids should be placed in a part of the hotel by themselves. The carpet had a jelly stain from the date we arrived until the date we left. there was accumalated dirt under the dresser. The TV was old and the channels didn't match the guide. Run, stay somewhere else. No, I'm not cheap, my last trip to an outer Island we stayed at the Ritz Carlton................

Great hotel. The only disappointment was the distance from a beach...perhaps a 10 minute drive. After staying at a beach on an earlier part of our trip, they lack of a beach was missed considerably. Good water activities by car within a 15-minute drive.

Very attentive staff. Hotel had all the amenities. Great pool! Gorgeous views and grounds. Definitely upgrade to the ocean view room if you can...it's worth it.

The hotel was beautiful, pools were fun (don't miss the great slide), grounds lovely. Loved the nightly manta rays that came close to shore because of Sheraton's light on the ocean...just magical. The location is very close to kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, and a short drive to the "downtown" with many restaurants and shops. The restaurants at the hotel were terribly expensive and the food only so-so. We ended up going off site for most of our meals.

There were many activities to choose from at the hotel - from ping pong and working out at the fitness center to relaxing at the pool and watching a nightly movie - the amenities are great. The Manta Ray viewing was awesome! Could use more lighting to be able to view the manta rays better. Providing breakfast for free would make the stay more enjoyable.

Snorkeling great in local beach very early in a.m. etc.Orbitz was flawless. First time we used. [...] Not one problem with your arrangements!

Went on submarine tour and volcano tour in addition to playing at the pool with their water slide, ping pong, movies nearby and shopping. I would have liked a BEACH, we finally found one the last day, the Kona side has mostly lava rock and private beaches. I would have liked a higher floor for my stay for view purposes, I decided because of the package deal I was placed on the 2nd floor. It was busy and noisy. I really would have liked better lighting and mirrors in the bathroom.

This trip as absoluely amazing! The sheraton was wonderful. The staff was wonderful. The only less han perfet experience was at the Manta Ray bar and grill halfway through the trip they changed their menu (which made it less healthy and not very vegetarian friendly). The sheraton is also a bit far from town (which is not a problem if you rent a car, but if you are hoof'n it or relying on the shuttle it can get a bit tricky (and cabs are expensive).

All was good. We expected food and drinks to be more...however we thought the drinks at the pool and room service were way over priced

The hotel was designed very well with an open lobby and atmosphere throughout the resort. The location was perfect because it was away from the busy downtown Kona area, giving us the feeling of being in a quiet and peaceful area. But it was also close enough to downtown Kona that it didn't feel like it was a hassle to get to any particular location. The room was a perfect size for a couple, although the "king size" bed didn't seem quite like a king size. House cleaning also helped to keep the rooms tidy and neat. There are however noticeable stains on the carpets, something that was unexpected for a hotel that just recently had some renovations. Scrubbing out carpet stains doesn't seem that difficult of a task. The bathrooms also have not been upgraded during that renovation period, so expect the bathrooms to be similar to something from the 80's. The views of the ocean are spectacular though, and quite worth the upgrade. The pool and water slide however did live up to it's expectations! :)

The location is no doubt beautiful but it seems like they were charging for everything and if possible would have charged for breathing as well. With that rate, I expected atleast internet and continental breakfast included but everything (including drinks) was quite expensive to buy. And come on why there is a charge for parking? That was quite ridiculous.

I was visiting for a conference. The staff was helpful and friendly. The views were pretty awesome no matter where you room is located. The free shuttle was a nice service. It would be nice if the shuttle operated later in the evening Last dropoff back at the hotel is 8 pm. The hotel does have a great program if you do not have your room made up every day. You will get a $5.00 coupon that can be used for food and beverage on site. The downsides - if you are not renting a car, food access in the later evening is limited other than at the hotel. The hotel food is expensive for the limited budget person (take advantage of the $5 off program). Taking a taxi in to town is VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!! You could probably almost arrange to rent a car for the week for the cost of one trip to and from town.

This is a beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location. The waves beating against the lava rocks are unforgettable. We had a great room overlooking the bay that felt very private and quiet. The carpet was slightly worn and the bathtub was nothing special, but the rest of the room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were high quality. The pool is fabulous. Kids would love the waterslide. We found the service very friendly and accommodating. You are outside of Kona, but close enough to drive in for meals and close to the sand beaches, even though there isn't one right off the hotel. The food at the hotel was good and some of it was reasonably priced even compared to nonresort food. We would highly recommend staying here if you are coming to Kona.

The mountain view room was actually very scenic and pretty. The balcony was a great spot to enjoy breakfast. The room amenities were standard, but there was no desk and the bed wasn't that comfortable. The bathroom was really minimal, and the beige walls and lighting were not exactly flattering.

Great location and reasonable room rates with the Orbitz travel package. However, the dining was excessively expensive. $16-20 for a continental breakfast was ridiculous. Dinners were good, but very expensive for the amount. Splitting dinner was the deal. Appetizers were very small and nowhere near a good value. Ceviche was 3 chips and a dolup on top of each. $9?? It just takes the fun right out of it when you both sit and stare in awe at the audacity of such a presentation. Get with it, Sheraton. You are insulting your guests!Eat out on Alii Drive! We could have rented a car for each day with what we spent on food! Go see [...] (manager) at Bongo Ben's Island Cafe. [...] service, food and value. Best on Alii Drive and no reason to go elsewhere once you've been there...On another note, the pool is great and loved the slide!

It was a very comfortable stay and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel feels a bit dated (especially on the outside). Good location. Away from the hustle/bustle of Kona, but really quick to get downtown if you want to.
