We were in Richmond for a family gathering and this hotel was chosen for the group. For 4th of July weekend, we were very surprised at how empty the hotel was. Still, the service was very good. We ate in both restaurants, and both were good. We even used room service, and that was nicely done too. My only disappointments were that there was no hot tub and that there was a slightly musty odor (kind of stale) in our room. The room itself was good sized and had two comfortable chairs which was nice. I would recommend this hotel to all.

We stayed two nights, and we were charged TWICE--It appeared on our bank account that charges were made two times. Staff there wouldn't do anything about that, and accused us of being at fault. We ended up calling Sheraton main number to get charges taken away (corporate was very helpful), but it still was a headache in the middle of our vacation. We stayed there specifically because they had an indoor pool (there were cheaper places) but the water was freezing, so that was money wasted.

The layout of this hotel is extremely confusing, and parking at times can be very limited. The lobbies and hallways are very run down, I cannot stress that enough. They smelled terrible and looked as if they had not been renovated since the 1970s. The rooms were slightly better, but anything but clean. Pubic hairs were on the toilet seat and all along the bath tub, never in my life have I ever stayed in a hotel with such a complete disregard for simply cleaning the hotel room! It was also very loud, so I wouldn't count on trying to sleep in. The only redeeming factor of the stay was the bed. It was very comfortable, but I would certainly never stay here again.

We moved the bed from the wall and there was dust 2 inches thick. We asked to move rooms and the next room was the same. I would have never noticed it if my sister didnt move the beds for my nieces. I would have been happy. I can be picky. There is not much more in the area that is more stars. Location was good. The pool was great!

Ready to solve any problems with a smile. Large - confusing. We stayed in a handicapped room because it was the only room left with two beds and I was with my adult son. Staff made every attempt to solve any problems. Room was clean and neat. We had the buffet breakfast at 9:30AM - food was old - cut up fruit was somewhat sour, sausage and bacon cold, as was the bacon,egg/cheese casserole - way too salty. $11 was too much. Service was good.

Our Room was dirty and when we went to take a shower the next morning nasty water sloshed out from under the liner placed in the tub to refinish it. Smelly and foul. When the desk was called the attitude was so what do want us to do about it?Meeting rooms very hard to get to this hotel has a very difficult layout. Up and down staires to get to different levels then to an elevator. Never saw anything like it before. Food expensive for what you got.

All the carpeting needs replaced, the comforter on the bed had stains, one light bulb was burnt out in the bathroom which was really small. The internet is 9.95 per day- we did not use- when elsewhere where it was free.Did not choose this hotel- it was part of race weekend package- would not recommend to anyone else. Thought it would be better being a Sheraton.

Despite havig many open rooms, we were placed in the middle of a convention group....screamimg, drunk group members kept us awake until 4AM, and started up again at 7AM. Room run-down and staff unfriendly.

Great accommodation, service and comfort at an affordable price. Souvenier shop needs a wider variety of items for sale. I felt very warm and relaxed. The room was cozy but roomy. The staff was extremely courteous, friendly and supportive. The layout of the hotel shown on the paper needs to be re-drawn and more detailed for easier understanding.

Starbucks in the lobby. The gym was filthy! Hot. Dirty towels all over the place. This was a very strange hotel. Generally good, but the gym consisted of 3 treadmills, 4 ellipticals, a bench, and a chest press machine. It was hot and filthy! Dirty towels strewn allover the place. Not a newspaper to be found. Not in the lobby or the machine outside. The shop in the lobby had a few fitness mags, and some candy, chips , etc. No Newsweek, Time, Vogue. Other than that it was clean and adequate.

Loved the granite shower. They kept charging me for little things. I paid $6.00 to make a toll free call and $10.00 to receive a package with two books in it from FedEx and $10.00 to use the internet. This is not what I expected from a hotel of this quality. The staff was friendly but kept charging me for thing I expected to be part of the stay. I didn't use the pool because it didn't look attractive and clean. Several of the access doors weren't maintained and the equipment in the gym were dirty and worn out. The rooms were great and the staff really worked hard.

The room was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. Too much noise in the hall from graduation partying between 1 and 2 am. The hotel itself was an excellent value for the money. I was thrilled with the room. But I was kept awake at night by noise in the hall way between 1 and 2 am related to graduation festivities. If I could anticipate quiet, I would stay there again in a heart-beat.
