GREAT location, but once you passed the lobby and meeting rooms, the look of the hotel was "war-torn" in my opinion. I was very displeased with my first room and the room they "upgraded" me to wasn't much better. Rooms in desperate need of a makeover.

Great location within walking distance of shopping. Way too soft of beds (no support) and self parking was a mile away. The hotel was very nice, but was also very busy and loud in the lobby when checking in. The self parking seemed like it was a mile away through the bowels of the hotel. The rooms were nice, but not like the pictures. The beds were way too soft with no support for sore backs. The pool was indoors, but was cold for the kids and us alike.

I have stayed in quite a few hotel chains (and I have very limited preference to one over the other - usually comes down to price and availabilty). But I would like to say that this hotel has one of the best overall staffs I have ever met at a hotel. Everyone was friendly and courteous and went out of their way to accomodate your every need. Concierge and doormen were very knowledgable about the city and services (cabs, restaurants, etc). Housekeeping kept the room well stocked on coffee and towels. The extras were pricey (as you would expect at a 4 star hotel), but there was nothing that they couldn't provide you with. Everything was clean and very well maintained. The hotel bars and restaurants were impecable (again - on the pricey side but in line with other inner city, quality hotels). Great food (especially Shula's Steak House!) and stiff, top-shelf drinks. There were a few little surprises (pay internet in the room - which we got comped anyway, and a $50 deposit (hold only) upon check-in - which was off my account within 2 days). While these are standard in some places, I just didn't see them listed in anything I read beforehand. The only negative I can say is that refrigerators are not standard in every room (It had one but it was the stocked-up mini-bar - no extra room!). Not enough of an issue to offset all the good things this hotel has going for it. I would definately choose this hotel for my next stay in Chicago.

great location! the only down side is the cost of everything you consume in this hotel...besides that, the room was nice, they accomodate us with a crib for my one year old, we enjoyed the pool and the service overall was good

Our family of five stayed in this hotel recently during a family vacation. The hotel was easy to get to and from (driving into and out of the city.) The location was great. The hotel is about a block off Michigan Ave (Mag. Mile) and within walking distance to Millennium Park. We walked a block and were able to catch a bus to the Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium. We used the self park option and it is about a 5-7 minute walk from the parking garage to the hotel lobby. Be aware that the cost of parking is NOT included in the cost of the hotel room. We found the room to be clean and presentable. We found the two double beds to be very soft and comfortable. Both my husband and I slept very well. (We brought a camp pad and sleeping bag for our third child) If you prefer a very firm mattress, you may not enjoy the beds as much as we did. We did not take advantage of any of the in house dining options, as they all appeared to be quite pricey. The hotel does not offer a continental breakfast, which is the only reason I did not give 5 stars. There is a McDonalds a block away, as well as several other dining options nearby. The kids had lots of fun in the indoor pool. We had a positive experience and would definitely stay here again.

Great View from our room and location was perfect. We didn't even request the more costly Lake/River view room but we mentioned it was our 1st time to Chicago and they gave us a corner room on the 21st floor with a view of the city, Lake Michigan and the Chicago river. Staff was friendly and seemed eager to serve and answer any questions. Conceirges were knowlegable and always had answers to not only hotel questions but event, restaurant and where to find questions. Just 3 blocks in either direction from great shopping or fantastic entertainment! Only down side was all the extra expenses. (Parking, internet service, exercise room) All were additional charges. However I was aware of this before booking. Still had to do my homework to find it out in advance though. Overall Chicago and the Sheraton Chicago Towers was a GREAT vacation and experience.

The location was great, very convenient. The room was very dark, no over head fixtures or ambient lighting. Conveniently located, just steps from the Mag Mile, but the rooms are ordinary at best.

The staff was the best. The hotel was very nice. It couldn't be in a better location. But the bed was the worst I had ever tried to sleep in. I'm a 60 year old sales rep who travels about 20 weeks a year so I've slept in a lot of bed but this was the worst.

Quick check in even though the line was fairly long. Everyone was extremely helpful, anyone going by asking if we have been helped. Loved the fact it was walking distance to Navy Pier and downtown stores and restaurants. Nice view of the river and Lake Michigan.

Excellent room, great location. Add ons were too expensive $13/day internet, $35 parking. Great hotel, great locations. Overpriced add ons.

The good: This hotel is in the perfect spot for visiting Chicago. It is just one block away from the magnificent mile and just across the river from downtown amenities. Shopping, restaurants, nightlife are all within minutes of the hotel. The memory foam-ish king bed was probably the most comfortable (not just in a hotel) I have EVER slept in. The room also came with a high definition TV that also was equipped with some high def channel, but the best view was just out the window at the Chicago river and its flanking skyscrapers. The shower had great water pressure and was roomy. Concierge was friendly and helpful. The bad: No free internet-$13 a day or $4 per hour. The restaurants downstairs were well reputed but absurdly pricey (oatmeal or parfait $8, Benedict $18, Lobster $90, etc.) Shower was great but didn't drain well. The gym is for certain guests only. The disgusting: PARKING. Not included at this hotel. The parking is below the hotel, and costs $35 per day with no in-and-out privileges. This was completely unexpected and quite a low-ball. In addition, the closest parking is still a good distance from the elevators, through a maze of never ending putrid (puke) smelling doors and hallways. Made me feel like a dejected member of a lower caste, having not opted for the $48 per day valet parking, the only other reasonable option. Overall, the best was the comfortable beds, the worst the parking. Mainly due to the parking, I would not stay at the Sheraton in Chicago again.

Awesome view of the river, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Comfortable but older rooms. Bathrooms are not updated much. Shula's Steakhouse was expensive but well worth it! The Chi Bar had some fun new drinks to try before dinner. Staff was very helpful and friendly. View of the river was awesome and romantic.

Hotel is convenat to all major sites. Easy walking distance to most . Only downsiides are the beds are why too soft better not have back problems and as odd as it may seem water pressure is too high, overwelms the fixtures. Rooms could do with a refurbusing starting to show signs of wear.

We got the room at the Sheraton for a great price, online only. While we have been to Chicago many times, we don't usually stay overnight, but this time we had a two day event at Navy Pier. Cost of the hotel was reasonable, and the hotel is nice. There were a few imperfections that we could live with, such as the bathroom door was not set right and had to be forced to close, and the hotel looked older, but nothing major. Extra costs, on the other hand, were major. Granted, this is Chicago, but in order to park at the hotel cost us $45 per 24 hour period. The in house restaurants were quite expensive as well, and the hotel has no vending machines. Tip: there are 2 machines on the lower level 1 where you pick up your car from valet. All in all decent, would have been better if we had taken the train in to eliminate parking fees. The pool was cool but excellent.

The hotel was overall good, but pricey for what you get...THE STEAK HOUSE at the hotel is VERY expensive and not too good, and the Chicago Burger at the hotel is even worse (well done means raw, hair in the meat patty, rude servers, etc.) Try the Allerton instead. Also, Morton's steakhouse is the best in downtown area not overpriced and AWESOME STEAKS (.5 mile from hotel)! Also, the Chop house is really good but very expensive (minimum of $180.00 for two)

Need to update bathroom. The lobby was exceptional and my daughter especially enjoyed the microsoft surface located in the lobby. Hotel was quite, view was spectacular and staff was pleasant. Met all our needs.
