I was at the Sheraton for a 3 day conference. When I checked in, I was given a room that had two beds and smelled like smoke. I returned to the front desk and they gladly gave me a room with 1 king bed. This second room did not smell smokey. However, I was unaware that construction was going on and would begin every morning at 7:30am. In addition, my toilet didn't work very well. Someone came to the room to plunge it, intending on fixing the problem I guess. But the toilet wasn't clogged it just didn't flush well meaning that it didn't suction anything down. When I told the front desk that it wasn't fixed they again offered me another room. I decided to just deal with it because I didn't want to pack up my stuff. The concierge was also particularly helpful with navigating the city for additional restaurants and shopping destinations. Just about every staff person that I encountered at the Sheraton was happy to assist me. I guess the pool is nicer than your standard indoor hotel pool because it has a retractable roof and it was slightly bigger than your average pool. The gym was adequate with about 10-12 cardio machines and a few other weight machines. The conference facilities were great. The food provided was also good, not excellent but what you would expect for banquet food. I did not eat in the restaurants other than grabbing a cup of soup at the deli, which was also good. The deli was cheap too, one morning I had a cup of cereal with milk that was about $3.00 and a cup of soup was about $4.00. On a great note, the hotel does provide a small computer lab area with free internet access and a printer- a huge plus for the business traveler! It also is in walking distance to many restaurants such as Benihana, Mexican food, a diner and quick serve outlets such as Quizno's.

Tastefully redecorated for an older property. The layout was odd without good flow, self parking access was not simple.

The service was good, staff friendly, room clean and comfortable. They also had a 24-hour deli, which made it much easier to get a quick sandwich, soup or salad, all fresh and home-made tasting. They also had a computer lab area next to the deli where guests could log in and use the internet free for 45 minute increments. Also free WiFi for those who brought their laptops with them. Printers available for printing boarding passes. Overall, a good expereience.

Just got back from a stay here. The service, from the front desk to concierge to housekeeping was like nothing I've experienced - everyone was amazingly helpful. The rooms were just okay, clean, but nothing special, which is okay because the concierge can give you enough suggestions of things to do that you won't be spending any time in the room anyway! Getting to the hotel is easy - we had no rental car but became experts at navigating the MARTA (again, with the help of the folks at the conciege desk) which is Atlanta's train system that goes to the airport and has a stop 3 blocks from the hotel.

A nice pleasant relaxing experience. After something went horrifyingly wrong during my evenings activity, it was nice to have this place to retire to.

Nice selection of fresh foods at the 24 hour deli. Had to pay per day internet access. The restaurant was upscale, but I was disappointed in the execution of the seafood pasta that I ordered and the quality of the fried tofu that my wife had. The appetizer of bisque was quite tasty as was the tower of fried tubers. The service was very good.

Friendly staff, great concierge knowledge, quiet hotel. While the bathrooms could use some plumbing updates in terms of the look (doesn't feel homey), you WILL be won over by the indoor pool. This private, indoor TROPICAL oasis is simply amazing. While the pool itself is wonderful (small pool that has depths up to 10 feet!), you will find yourself wanting to skip your day excursions and just sit by the pool. The architecture and plant design is perfect. Hotel is also walking distance to the Georgia Aquarium, CNN, Coke Museum, Hard Rock Cafe, and of course, Dr. King's Church.

We stopped in Atlanta for the first evening of our 2 day drive to DisneyWorld. Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff very helpful, and the night veiw of city from our room was very nice. The self service laundry room downstairs by the fitness room came in very handy with messy children. Being able to workout and take a dip in the gorgeous pool before being cramped up in a minivan again for hours was priceless! The hotel is in an excellent location right off the interstate. Only bad part is that you must pay for parking between and . This is true for everywhere in downtown Atlanta, though.

This was the best value I've gotten on a hotel in downtown Atlanta in the 10 years we've been going to the Gift Mart. The location was great, the room was everything a 3 or 4 star hotel is expected to be. Especially liked being on the poolside floor...an oasis in the middle of a very hot Atlanta.

This hotel is in serious need of renovation, or at least a serious face-lift. The door to the room looked like it had taken a beating, the lamp shades were cock-eyed and severely dented, the curtains were frayed , the balcony of my non-smoking room was littered with cigarette butts; I could go on and on. The only good thing was the staff - they were all very friendly and helpful. they just didn't have much to work with

Upon arriving, we settled in our room at 11:00pm Turned on the TV and within 5 minutes, a loud boom and the TV went black. I called front desk, told them of the problem and within 6 min, 2 men were in our room assessing the problem. They called front desk, told them the TV was broke and to find us another room. We were located to another room exacty in location (next to elevator as our original request) but 3 floors closer to ground floor. The man who helped carry our luggage was very polite. The front desk gave us two passes for the breakfast buffet for our trouble. That was just the beginning of our encounter with the staff. The concierge was so helpful, the shuttle driver was also so helpful. He gave us directions and drew a map for us to go to Stone Mountain in our rental car. I travel a lot, and this was the most helpful and polite staff that I have ever had. In addition, it was close to all the sites, Aquarium. cnn, cokeacola plant, olympia park, etc. I SO recomment this hotel!

Beautiful indoor pool area. Floor in lobby is ugly. Good service and standard 3.5 star accommodations. I'd stay their again.

The hotel itself was nice but the standard rooms were very dumpy & also extremely cramped quarters, so if you stay here spend a little more to get the nice room. The pool was nice too, my 5yr old seemed to enjoy it alot.

We traveled to Atlanta for a mini summer vacation to visit the Aquarium and Coke factory. We were very pleased with the level of service we recieved and the cleanliness of the hotel. Great location- not too much "down town" from a safety perspective, but down town enough to walk to attractions and subway. Dining was expensive in town, try the peachtree mall food court, but be advised-closed on Sunday. Metro diner is good- but still pricey. Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel. We would definately stay here again.

Check in was a breeze. Not terribly impressed with the immediate location, but it is close to the major restaurants downtown. The amenities at the hotel are great. The pool is the selling point. Was a little disappointed with the room itself (very small and outdated bathroom), but the balcony was a nice feature. Staff seemed helpful enough, but was only there for one night. Hot tub could of used a cleaning. Overall a very positive experience at the Sheraton Atlanta.

Friendly, helpful staff and clean facilities. Somewhat dated decor and overpriced breakfast. Convenient location for the downtown business traveler. Very close to Peachtree Station and many restaurants.

Apparently they allow dogs at this hotel. Someone put their dog in their room (right next door to ours!) and they left. The dog yapped for 40 minutes. At 12:10 I went down to complain and since the people were not in their room, they made US change rooms in the middle of the night. I had a 10 hour drive the next day back to Indiana. I was not a happy person. If I am paying this much for a hotel room, I shouldn't have to worry about listening to a dog all night long. Oh, and parking is an additional 18 dollars a night. Grr...

Got the room from a last minute deal via travel website. I was supposed to get a room with view of downtown. What i got was a second floor room with view of parking deck and downtown. Room was not clean as i found old newspapers, half empty water bottles, Went to front desck and complained, got a room on the 12th (top) floor with a great view, That was what i was expecting. Very happy, nice room, thanks Nicole. Pool area seemed nice, think it actually had retractable roof!? Convienent to downtown.
