This was my first time staying there and I wont be my last. The Sheraton Anchorage Hotel & Spa is in a GREAT location thats easy to get to and to get out of. The rooms were small, but had a relaxing setting that puts a stressed person at ease. What would have been better was if the internet and parking were free. Besides that it was great.

Good location, good value for the money. Bar/lounge area was not happening. Would stay there again. Good value for the money and great downtown/walkable location to nice bars and restaurants.

After frequenting Anchorage from the Peninsula often, I finally found a hotel that I truly enjoy. The staff was great, and even greeted us with a carnation when we checked-in. The room was spacious, and the overall feel was classy. I'll definitely stay here in the future. To keep it on the realistic side, the only negative aspect was the plug in the bath tub didn't seal well, but it was enough to use effectively. Another aspect that I liked was its proximity to the downtown activities. Shopping, theatres, museums, etc. were all within walking distance!!

Was not aware of charge for parking prior to our arrival. We were not able to use fitness area or have access to a computer because of construction in these areas. We would have liked to have known this prior to booking this hotel.

Room was not ready when arrived after 6:00 p.m. Room given was not what was requested. Would not allow 1 hour late check out without additional payment.

The accommodations were comfortable, clean and satisfactory. However, I do have a couple of comments: I was very surprised that I was charged an extra $10.00 to park in their parking lot for one night plus another $10.00 for wireless internet. I could understand if it was covered indoor parking but it is not. I only stayed one night so I don't know if the parking and internet extra charges are per night or per stay. I have never been charged to park my vehicle in the parking lot of a hotel before and I can't say I was very happy about it! Lastly, I called the morning of my stay to confirm and ask for a non-smoking room. I was told by reservations that I would have to wait until I checked in to see what was available at the time (I had booked for the first time through Priceline.com). When I arrived, I observed a notice stating that the hotel was a non-smoking hotel. I cannot understand why the reservations lady didn't just tell me that when I called!

My wife and I found the Sheraton to be very unassuming from the outside blending in well with somewhat shabby surroundings. The interior , what we could see of it ,was immaculate and luxurious. We could nlt seer much of the lobby because much of it was draped with cloth barriers due to construction. Our room was spotless and spacious , the busy road noise was minimal, and the king sized bed excellent. We were disappointed there was no bathroom exhaust which turned tbe entire room into a sauna after showerung. The most notable detractor to the Anchorage Sheraton for us was the distance from the airport. Not so much in miles but in dollars. The Sheraton has no airport pick up so be prepared to shell out 20 each way plus tips in cab fares.

This is right in the middle of downtown Anchorage, and a solid value. There were a few renovations going on, but they didn't interfere with coming and going. We had a minor problem early on, not being able to adjust the room temperature, but staff came up and solved the problem within a few minutes.

Nice room and views. No swimming pool not really a family hotel. This isn't a place to relax with a family plus you get charged per day for internet usage in your own room!

I enjoyed my stay at the Sheraton Achorage. The staff was excellent; professional and coureous. I do wish their shuttle service went to the airport and back, but felt it was a great buy. My room overlooked the bay and mountains, and although it was snowy and cold, I felt comfy and well taken care of.

It was our first trip to Alaska, and I was a bit nervous about the hotel's quality. Upon arrival, we found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and comfortable, although a room chair needed replacing (broken arm). Additionally, our room was not cleaned for one day, but upon contacting front desk, they immediately had the room serviced. The bar should stay open later than 11:00pm, but the bartender did serve us past closing time. Overall, I would definitely stay there again, and the staff are a credit to this establishment.

The hotel was very nice and comfortable. Rooms were clean. Wish there would have been a comfy chair in the room somewhere to read. No business center which was extremely difficult. Location is not too bad. Still close enough down town and the shuttle will take you down town. The best part was the lounge areas, coffee bar, and bar. I love it when I can get a great coffee first thing in the morning and then go for a nice run in the fitness center.

Close enough to walk to downtown except for our seniors. Too far for seniors to walk. On edge of less desirable area. Had a group of 11 for one night. Hotel was very clean and attractive. Good value for the Priceline rate we paid. Very busy at check in time, a little uncoordinated but all baggage got to the right rooms. Staff helpful for the most part. Bellman was a bit unfriendly. No shuttle to airport.

In a location where most tourist accommodations and activites are over-priced, the Sheraton Anchorage provides good value for the price. The cost of the room defitiely puts it into the luxury category for my budget, but the hotel delivers a high quality experience both in the quality of the room and its furnishings, and the quality of the attention provided by the hotel staff. Great beds - I slept like a baby.

This was a very nice trip. My first to Anchorage. The hotel was very clean and the beds were VERY comfortable! The friendly and helpful hotel staff was a real plus. The van service around town was very helpful to me while my husband worked. We will book here again!

The room was comfortable. Could not use our DVD player in our room, input was disabled. No in room movies. I do not like to stay in hotels where I have to pay extra for parking.

Web site lists free local phone calls - NOT. Card by phone lists charges, turns our the web site was outdated. Plus you pay 10 per day to park, PLUS internet is 10 per day, PLUS no free Contential breakfast - went to the lobby counter looking for breakfast, went where directed, Breakfast buffet for ONE was about 16 - way too much for a scoop of yogert and 3 pieces of fruit, PLUS we had to ask twice for wash cloths. Room was comfortable, but for the price I'll find somewhere else to stay next time.

The location of the Sherton is convenient and within walking distance from the downtown shopping area of Anchorage. The hotel, however, is in need of a renovation. The room and furnishings looked tired and dated. The only coffee shop/restaurant is nice and clean but with a limited menu selection. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful which made up for some of the the less than steller interior.

Nice lobby. Unsecured pay parking, had fishing poles stolen from car and trip was ruined. Comfortable beds. No view at all (they said they had no rooms other than 3rd floor). Old bathroom with chipped tile and motel 6 feel. Does have a fridge.
