Great hotel, great location, beautiful resort. We would defintitely go back and will recommend it to freinds. The staff was great, rooms were fabulous and the food was outstanding. Great place for people of all ages. Beautiful pools and right on the oceanfront. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay!

Great location, beach, pool, rooms. Internet access poor, Restaurant food overpriced & terrible. This is a great place, we come back year after year. Every year we go out to dinner once. The food is always pretty bad and terribly overpriced. But, if you have your own kitchen, and don't really need internet access, this is a great place to stay.

The Sheraton Hacienda is a nice resort in Cabo. I went for a girl's weekend and found the staff very friendly and helpful. The pool area is nice and especially great if you can grab a spot on the edge that sits directly above the beach. I went to the spa for a facial and loved it - it's not the largest/fanciest spa but I loved the outdoor relaxation area in back with the water fountains lining the walls next to the small hot tub areas for relaxing. Downtown isn't too far but does take a bit longer than other locations, I would guess 20 min by taxi and costs around $20 each way.

Ocean Front view is the ONLY way to go here. We originally had Ocean View but it's only a small span of ocean, so we upgraded and we loved the ocean view! No activities here (i.e. snorkeling, jet skiing), but if you want a nice quiet vacation, this is the way to go. Staff is very friendly, but hotel does not offer late check out for some rooms (like ours). Food and drinks @ restaurants are pricey and are okay. De Cortez restaurant very pricey and food is overcooked. Pool is beautiful and easy to get a spot. Overall, I would stay here again, because of the view and "quiet" surroundings. At night, all we could here were the splashing of the waves and just out our balcony the beautiful scene of the moon on the waves.

My girlfriend and I booked a last minute trip here (5 days/4 nights), after spending hours online looking at the many options for hotels & resorts in Los Cabos. We didn't want to be around the noisy, obnoxious "spring breaker" types, so we opted to spend a little more and stay away from the all-inclusives. The Sheraton resort is absolutely gorgeous, and has none of the cheesy hotel-ish decor. The landscaping and maintenance of the property are beautiful, and it has a pristine PRIVATE beach. Note that there are only a couple other resorts with private beaches, one being the expensive Palmilla resort. The hotel has a lot of antique wood furniture and it is really tastefully put together. We went at the end of June, so it was low season, but I think this is the only time I would go. The restaurants were never full, there was always a beach chair or pool chair available, and it was so quiet! The food is OK. We didn't go there for fine-dining anyway, for that we could just stay in NY. In our opinion the best of their restaurants is Girasoles, serving Mexican fare on a 4th floor terrace overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Their brunch/breakfast is also highly recommended. One thing that I didn't read in any of the reviews, was that the Sheraton shares its property with the Hacienda Del Mar time-shares. The concierge was great, but we kind of got duped into a time-share tour/presentation that was supposed to take 75 minutes, but actually took like 2.5 hours. We were offered discounted pricing on tours/activities and a dinner certificate if we went, I guess this is a pretty common thing (now we know). The service here is excellent, everyone is always really friendly and helpful. They come around often at the pool or beach to bring you drinks/food, and there was always some sort of special 2-for-1 or happy hour so it was much less expensive than we thought it would be. If you are considering an ocean view room, book the upgrade online, not at the hotel. It is substantially cheape

Each year 6-10 of our family members spend a week together at this resort. We especially enjoy the friendly service and the beautiful grounds and luxurious pools, beach, spa, etc. They have two top notch restaurants and one sports bar where sushi is served several times a week. Great fun and close to Cabo San Lucas (shuttle bus available) for different dining experiences.

Loved the location and weather - perfect resort atmosphere. The hotel is very beautiful and the grounds are imaculate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the noise from outside our room - the tile floors were gorgeous but you can hear everything moving outside your room. They had earplugs at the bedside so I guess we weren't the first to notice. It wasn't bad enough for me to complain to the staff or to not go back. We will go back next year for sure.

The location, landscaping, pool, and ocean view were beautiful. The bed was not very comfortable and the hotel was noisy; you could hear neighbor's voices, TV, toilet flushing.

Stayed here for a wedding. Gorgeous grounds, nice and clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Great pools and views. Food was expensive and fair at the restaurants. Service was good.

After sailing down to Cabo from San Diego in the 2007 Baj Ha-Ha the hotel was a welcome ending to a long trip. I thought the hotel was a little further from town than I would have liked but once I got there I was glad it wasn't too close to the hustle and bustle of the city. The short cab or shuttle ride was no problem and the hotel's location puts it within easy distance to the airport at San Jose del Cabo. When my wife arrived to meet me after my sail down the coast she was immediately impressed with the hotel. The staff were courteous and very helpful during our stay and did a great job of making us feel welcome and at ease. Our ocean view room was worth the little bit extra we paid and I would highly recommend it to other travelers. Nothing like a beautiful Cabo sunrise to get you started on your day. The selection of restaurants in the hotel gave us enough variety for our stay that we barely had occasion to eat in town. The pools, the beach and the general ambiance of the hotel make for an interesting environment that you almost don't want to leave to go into town. I'm sure there are other nice hotels around Cabo but for my money this is the one I'll be returning to after other Ha-Has down the Baja peninsula. Highly recommended.

Was beautiful. We got an oceanfront view and somehow got upgraded even further to this room with a HUGE wrap-around terrace overlooking the ocean. The staff was all super-friendly, the room was fairly clean and comfortable. The pools were nice. The food was actually GREAT, which surprised me a bit, with several restaurants to choose from. The ocean there wasn't really swimmable because it was so rough but a quick shuttle ride to town, and we hung out at the beach of another hotel one of the days. You could get a cabana there for a fee. And really most of the time we were happy at the pools. Good vacation, you won't be dissappointed.

From the moment we entered this highly secured Spanish style oasis of luxury we felt at home. The entire property is surrounded by a variety of tropical vegitation of colorful flowers and analogous green gardens that pop out in front of the roman arches that decorate each and every building. The staff converese well in English and are not trying to turn you upside down to shake you loose of any dollars or pesos. You're made to feel comfortable and at ease, although they are helpful with any questions/concerns you have. Being a Starwood Preferred Guest, we were upgraded from a garden view to an ocean view in a suite. The view was spectacular from the secluded balcony adjoing our room. The highlights were the endless views of the white sand beach, although the shore break made it hard to enjoy a swim. However, a taxi for up to 4 people can take you to Chileno Playa (beach) for about 140 pesos each way, so invite some other guests and share the expense. There is no taxi service from Chileno Beach back to the hotel so be sure to pre-arrange your ride. At Chileno there are snorkeling and kayaks for rent and you can bargain, as we got two snorkel gears for 200 pesos for a few hours. Be sure to leave your valuables behind and bring some snacks and cold beverages. The biggest highlight was "Pitaya" restuarant. The menu consists of pacific rim quisine, a blend of surf and turf that will tease and taunt your taste buds for months on end. Every seat in the house has a spectacular view of the ocean. Go just a little before sunset and request seating at the end closest to the golf course. You won't regret it. Buena suerte!!!

Our first trip to Cabo included our stay at the Hacienda Del Mar. This hotel is located in the Corridor, closer to Cabo San Lucas. It is probably the largest of the hotel resorts in the area, boasting what appeared to be more pools, restaurants and square footage than any other location. It is also secluded, having it's own beach that was not accesible from other hotels and directly next to Cabo Del Sol golf course - potentially the best holes on the peninsula. While there may not be one (1) specific things that may be considered the "BEST" (although the landscaping is fantastic and meticulously maintained), the shear size and diversity of the place may make it one of the best overall experiences in Cabo. The dining is great, as Pitahayas is considered one of the best around and the setting is great, but there are other lesser known restaurants that also hold their own.The rooms are nice, but if you are travelling through a timeshare, you may not be able to experience the best of the lot. There are adult and kids pools, activity pools, infinity pools (2) and swim up bars. the gym is adequate and the beach is extensive.if you need night life, then head directly into cabo and if you need daily water activities, this may also not be your place. however, the diversity and expanse of the resort, the friendiness of the staff and the onsite dining were great - we truly enjoyed the place. Also, if you stay, we highly recommend a car rental.

This was the perfect getaway! The staff was very accomodating. We had beautiful sunset dinners every night and all of their reccomendations were super. We consider ourselves hotel snobs and this was very nice, clean, large balcony and private. We watched the whales every morning and hung out by the pool all day. The spa was nice but the treatments were nothing over the top. They were always able to book a treatment at the time we wanted it. Cabs from the hotel were expensive, use the shuddle provided by the hotel for the the down town trips.($10 rountrip) A great vacation!

Pleasantly surprised with service and quality of hotel room and staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Concierge was helpful in booking activities. Overall a great experience. About 10 minutes from Cabo and taxi ride into town is 20$ each way so 40$ round trip. Rented a car so we could get around and at night if we decided to head out we took a cab so it all worked out good.
