This is a very nice hotel in a great location. We stayed 11 nights. Very close to all transit lines, walking distance to Little Italy, China Town, and the Marina district. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in SF on leisure travel.

We just got back on March 19th 2009 and we had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The fitness center was clean and always available. Compared to the other hotels in the area the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf is reasonably priced.The only thing our room lacked was a refrigerator but we were able to work around that. We did not drive so we didn't have to concern ourselves with high parking prices accross the street which is pretty much standard for all the hotels in that area. Plus I don't recommend renting a car since everything is within walking distance of the hotel, unless you plan on going on long day trips. Even so there are plenty of tour guides that can pick you up near or at the hotel. As far as the checking in/out process we had no problems what so ever. One other note, if you plan on working online with a computer I strongly recommend that you bring your own laptop since using the hotel computer in the business center is expensive. The Fisherman Wharf offers free wifi connection. I would absolutley recommend this hotel to anyone without hesitation!

I have stayed in several Sheraton Hotels. They have all been exceptional. This one was less than Sheraton class. Watch out for the 43.00 garage cost per night. My room was clean but the hall way wasn't. Hotel wasn't user friendly. No sense of employee's being proud of working for such a great hotel chain.

Trash left in halls for longer than 24 hours. Shower handle fell off when touched. Decor was a hideaous retro 60's with baby blue and white horizontal striped walls, accents of lime green, orange and brown. Staff was less than helpful when notifying us of a monthly bicycle event called Critical Mass. I am a diabetic. While enroute to dinner on a trolley car the I was basically hostage to the event. ALL traffic comes to a stand still as the hundreds of bicycle riders run their route. They even keep going thru red lights. A pedestrian cannot even cross the street thru this mess. Had the staff made us aware of this I would have timed my dinner arrival differently of even take the option to dine in. I will not return to this hotel.

The room was great, decorated very nice and very clean. This location is great with Fisherman's Wharf just a block away! We did not like that our room had a view of the roof, and the parking fees are high. They tried to charge us for two full 24 hour days even though we were not there that long. After complaining, however, They did just charge us for one.

Great location for visiting the wharf and surrounding areas. Hotel was clean and staff was freindly and helpful. However, the walls are thin and can be extremely noise at times.

I purchased a king size suite for 3 nights and was told on my arrival that they were all gone, that I would have to stay in a queen size room. The room was in the far corner of the hotel with the window about 10 feet from the street. The width of the moving about space was about 2 feet on one side of the bed and about 1/2 foot on the other, with a narrow walkway of about 5 feet from the door to the desk. It was not worth the money that I spent. The hotel stated that renovations would be complete in September, but they were 30 % complete. The outdoor piano area is ready at all. They have installed wonderful fire pits outside to sit by on the cool nighs.

My only complaint was when we first arrived we had a horrible room on the first floor in a corner where the laundry truck was coming and going outside our window. I went and asked to be moved and they did it without any problems. We were moved to the third floor with no view but the roof of part of the hotel but it was quiet at least. The bed was really comfortable i slept very well(when kids stopped running down the hallways). The bathrooms could have been bigger and many a little nicer. I wouldn't recommend taking a bath. The location is perfect. A little cold for the outdoor pool, but it is near pier 39 and the F line which takes you to the embarcadero and union square. The location definitely helps the hotels value. I loved the firepits outside the hotel it was a fun casual place to hang out. Its a good tourist place to stay that is pretty reasonable.

Clean and close to Pier 39. It was San Francisco everything but the room was expensive! $45 Parking per day; $22 breakfast buffet etc.

This hotel is excellent. It is about a block from Fisherman's Wharf Pier 39. Waling distance to Lombard St., North Beach (Little Italy) and Chinatown. You can also walk to the cable cars or the Street Car (F Line). The hotel has a fleet of luxury cars that are always parked just outside the lobby and they can personally get a cab for you at any time. The hotel is beautiful, spotless and very roomy, rooms contain a couch, comfy chair and desk. Plasma screen tv and a seperate sink area which is very convenient when two are getting ready at the same time. The hotel's gym has cardio machines and free weights along with a stationary boflex type machine. Pilates balls and mats are also available. Hotel lobby has a restaurant although there are so many choices to eat in the area we did not bother with it. We did have espresso in the morning at their coffee bar, Spressi. Firepits are located outside which really felt nice on cool mornings/nights. Everyone at the hotel bent over backwards to accomodate any request. I kept reading about how touristy this area is and that we should stay in Union Square but we were so glad we did not listen. Union Square is very congested. We loved to be by the water. In the morning, it was very quiet and we would go wach the lazy sea lions and is very livey in the afternoons with many street performers much like Key West's Mallory Square. Great restaurants in the area are Scomas for crab and clam chowder, Crabhouse at Pier 39 for cioppino and steamed garlice crabs, Boudin for freshly baked bread, Molinari's Deli in North Beach for the best italian sub you will ever eat, Cafe Grecco for italian coffee/pastries

My husband and I stayed for the week-end of the 40th anniversary of the summer of love, a very well known event. However no one in the hotel knew what we were talking about,so we took a cab to Golden Gate Park & the cabbie sadi he knew where the Speedway Meadows was, then just drove around until I pulled out the map to show him, this was a cab stationed at & recommended by hotel staff. We arrived at the hotel early only to be tod the room we requested was not available so we were down graded and refused a refund or any type of comp. The front office staff did not tell us where anything in the hotel was located, we did find an ice machine clear out in the main lobby,Our view was of a parking lot full of buses. Quality & cutomer service rated poor. The on line request for a rating of our stay went on deaf ears. Won't go back to the Sheraton.

Wonderful location, large room. Lobby bar was very expensive. This hotel was very convenient to Fisherman's Wharf, two cable car lines, and walking around the Lombard Street areas. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel and the customer service. Interior decor was unique and modern. We were very happy with our stay.

Super job on the remodeling and the staff is extra friendly. Great place to home base for a SF vacation with most attractions a few blocks away.

Well my first impressions, seeing this place were "jaw dropping". I got a 2 star hotel on a 4 star price. My profession as a flight crew gave me the opportunity to stay in numerous hotels and I have seen many 4 star hotels before. I am puzzled how they are claiming 4 stars. I wanted to treat my family in a 4 star hotel so money was not an issue but at the end the only thing that I paid for was just a 4 stars price. The rooms ware old, small and with squeaky floor. It had no amenities like microwave or refrigerator. Anything you need you will be charged you for it, even a morning coffee. Small bottle of water they are charging *, sodas *. Unfortunately, I prepaid this hotel through online travel website so I couldn't get out of it. I have seen some positive reviews here and I figure the only reason for that is that these people are from outside the US and perhaps there expectations were lesser. I recommend trying finding a hotel in the city. Transportation to Fisherman's Wharf is very easy and convenient not to mentioned cheap. (* each way on the "F" train). Also the parking overnight from previous posts is correct, * each night that is ludicrous. How do these people sleep at night? All the other hotels in the area have free parking and free Internet access. Good luck.

My husband and I went to San Francisco on our honeymoon. The hotel was in a great area that was safe and lively. In addition, we were in walking distance to almost all possible public transportation. This made many parts of the city very accessible. The concierge staff at the Sheraton was also helpful with directions and suggestions. My only complaint is that I thought the hotel has free wireless internet, but that was only in the lobby, not in the rooms.
