Lovely, comfortable hotel with glorious place to eat breakfast outdoors. Fine Mexican dining buffet at night. Concierge who arranged all day trips for us. We needed two weeks to see all that the city offered so we'll have to go back next year.

The staff was very helpful. The staff was very good. There is a spa, pool and work-out area in the hotel for $10 per day but we did not use it even though it looked great. It would be a good hotel for the business traveler but it is on the high dollar side.

Pros: This hotel was very conveniently located on the Alameda. It is safe walking distance to the Zocalo, the Teatro Hidalgo, the Bellas Artes, two subway stops, and many other things. The room and the whole building is very safe, clean, and modern. The entire staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and most of them speak English. I also heard members of the staff speaking French. Cons: They charge for bottled water and coffee in the room. The restaurants are not great and overpriced, and they're not open during the posted hours. Overall, the hotel itself has a very generic, corporate feel--no Mexican personality (other than the staff). If you want a "Mexican" experience, don't stay here, but if you want a place that is clean and safe, convenient, easy, and friendly, this is a great place to stay.

You will be surprised and impressed at this hotel. Great bar in the lobby. Concierge is knowledgeable and professional. Overall a great hotel. Best Sheraton I have stayed at and would recommend for both the business traveller as well as the vacationer.

We really loved the hotel, especially breakfasts in the beautiful terrace restaurant on the 6th floor with a great view of the Palace of Fine Arts, the Latino-American Tower, et al. Unfortunately, however, I forgot to put my watch in the safe one morning and it disappeared from my room. I reported it to security staff and they said they would get back to me with a report, but now 5 weeks later, I have heard nothing. It wasn't a terribly expensive watch, but I liked it and it will be hard to replace. You would think that a hotel of that calibre would at least follow through with a report of what they tried. Aside from this, we would definitely go back. We may try a different one next time, perhaps the Majestic, near El Zocalo. In addition, there were recurring problems with the air conditioning and the closet light, necessitating several calls to hotel maintenance. I wonder if one of these people took the watch.

Room views are spectacular. All rooms allow smoking. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms make this a solid choice for the Centro Historico. No chances are taken in terms of room and lobby styling, which makes for a comfortable, if slightly boring, stay.

The lobby and room are kept very clean and staff were attentive. We had wonderful experiences throughout our stay.The only thing that needs improvement is the hotel's concierge service. When we asked about public transportation they did not give too much information and often recommended hotel cab, which is very, very expensive. With the kind of customers they have at the hotel that is understandable but if customer asked for a certain question they should give the info they are looking for. But overall, our stay was confortable and we would definitely go back.

The best thing I liked is the steam room. I didnt really like the rooms they are ordinary rooms.Nothing luxury about it. It took a long time for me to even get checked in. There was no authentic "service with a smile". I would not go there again.

Great location, lovely hotel, very professional staff. Nothing. The hotel can accommodate business or leisure guests with ease and comfort. I have stayed in Sheratons before but this appeared to be a much better run and maintained Sheraton than others. A credit to the hotel chain.

The Sheraton was quite nice for Mexico City. We arrived late and after a quick check in went off to an Orbitz booked room overlooking the city. The room was clean and great water pressure. Hotel is near a large park and in walking distance to the city square, yet streets are crowded along the way. All staff were bilingual-Spanish/English - and ready to help you with everything.

Great location for historical center and getting around the city. Concerns about food appearing all day on a buffet not covered and in some cases not chilled. But one could order a la carte as we did. Very clean, comfortable and friendly. Several eating styles available. Very fast elevators. Great view from 25th floor. Quiet. Great location for sightseeing. Felt very safe.

The Sheraton Centro Historico Hotel & Convention Center in Mexico City is an ultra-modern facility with a very curteous and professional staff. It is very close to shopping, museums & food. Their is also a large park across the street that has many flea market style vendors and entertainment to enjoy. Generally the staff at the hotel was readily available and willing to speak to me in english since my spanish is aweful. The only con was the batroom. The shower design was very poor and for some reason you could never keep water from rushing out the sides and onto the floor. Everytime I took a shower the floor would collect huge puddles.

It was excellent, friendly, attentive, quite, quick and good service. It had no iron in the room. It was just great. I would totally recommend it.

The Sheraton in Mexico City was very nice and a great departure from the actual city itself. The hotel was situated in a nicer (safer) part of town. We had a wonderful corner room for a great deal. We also ordered room service, which came up promptly, and was super tasty! The wc was separate from the rest of the vanity and shower area, which was super nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in a nicer area in Mexico City.

Centrally located, comfortable, fair price, friendly service. Room smelled like cigarettes. The hotel is located within walking distance of El Palacio de Bellas Artes a main theater/attraction. Is in the old part of Mexico, where you can appreciate a lot of the colonial buildings and monuments. It's right in front of the Alameda Park or plaza, where you can enjoy cultural events and crafts shops. Being a non-smoker, I was put off by the smell of cigarettes in the room. I'm not sure if I specifically asked for nonsmoking or not, but I'll be sure to check this next time. There was no pool, and no continental breakfast was included. Overall it was a good value for the money. We will probably stay there again, and I would definitely would like to go back to Mexico City.

They will charge for everything. Bottel of water, parking etc., the restaurants very expensive. If you wanted to go to eat something wil have to ask for another restaurant.

Our room was at the top of the hotel-24th floor and the view was spectacular. The taxi fares from the hotel were double but that is usually the way it is at any hotel. The hotel was in an excellent location. Helpful front desk and concierge.

The Sheraton Centro Historico is a relatively new hotel and most comfortable. Very upscale and clean with a most friendly and professional staff. The service was very efficient with modern but very tastefully decorated rooms. The only downside was that the two primary restaurants close very early on weeknights making it a bit difficult for the business guest to have dinner after 6:30PM. However, there is an acceptable room service menu. Once again, this service was excellent and speedy, something not always associated when ordering from room service! Another plus was the fact that this hotel obviously caters to business travelers; I did not see one child during my entire stay which made for a very calm and quiet atmosphere. For a very comfortable stay with some of the city's oldest and most grand architecture surrounding this hotel, I recommend it highly.

Clean and efficient with a great Mexican restaurant. There was a public demonstration that blocked traffic. Great hotel in the historic part of town which makes it ideal to explore the old and colonial part of Mexico city's Downtown. Traffic and street closings during demonstrations can be a problem but it is in many parts of the city as well. Would stay here again.
