The Check-In guy was a somewhat of a pain. Sure, I hadn't cut my hair for close to a month and looked like a complete scrub in my jeans and T-Shirt; but that's not the treatment you pay for. He was rude and kind of brushed off the questions that I had for him. Not letting this ruin my stay, I brushed it off and enjoyed the rest of my stay there. Everything was as expected from such a big hotel. My second encounter with the same employee went much better as he was more professional. He must have just had a bad day the first time around.

The Sheraton is a huge facility although we stayed in the south tower and its size wasn't a problem. It was one of the finest commercial constructions in its 'day' probably 25-30 years ago. They've maintained it well and keep this giant property going with top quality staffing. To be so large you would think they would have a true/main dining room open 7-days a week. But either the slow economy or the dead of winter has fostered limited hours in the dining room, mostly to morning and lunch. There is a good-enough clubby/bar where food is served off the registration/lobby center so you won't starve. And they are surrounded by eating establishments too. But sometimes when it's cold outside and snowy you just want to treat yourself to a comforting dining room with top quality food; that wasn't possible in the evening. We settled instead for a reasonably priced order of quesadillas from the bar menu and given the snow coming down outside, were darn happy to have it. We didn't use the pool or exercise facilities; we did run into the business center just for printing boarding passes. The gift shop's hours are 'quaint' due to the management by a dear sweet little old lady who unfortunately couldn't get out of her neighborhood because of a snowstorm. It doesn't appear that the gift shop is 'common' property to the hotel or surely someone would have opened it for the first day and a half we were there. [I didn't want so much, just sodas, munchies, that I couldn't bring along easily and it was too treacherous to leave to buy.) She finally made it in by our last night and was as helpful as she could be. By the way, the bed was very comfortable and while it irked us to pay the internet connect charges twice (wireless is not free there), we were glad it was available. But the price was outstanding for a Getaway long pre-Xmas weekend and the location was just perfect for our needs. Knowing some of these small limitations, we'd stay here again! It's right off the 494-W and a littl

Easy/quick check in/check out. Paying for internet, parking lot distance from doors. Average in most areas. Not near Mall of America. Must pay for wifi.

Water in rooms were not working, rooms look like they have never been updated since mid 70's. carpet in hallways need to be replaced other wise you can fall into a hole. when your up on the last floor and elevator not working, there several stairs to climb, with KIDS and strollers. manager gave us a letter basicly stating at you next stay it will be on them. I don't think so!

The staff at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel, Minneapolis South are some of the friendliest, most attentive people I have ever dealt with. The shuttle drivers are extremely courteous and helpful with directions and suggestions. The front desk staff are very efficient and friendly, the housekeeping staff are accommodating and friendly, and the dining room staff are efficient, friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The fact that the shuttle can get from the hotel to the airport in 15 minutes is a plus, and the shuttle to the Mall of America, which is also a terminal for the light rail transit, is very convenient.

Loved the gym, bar and the entrance to hotel lobby. For the prices I paid it was an excellent choice.

I really enjoyed my recent stay here. It has a very warm and comfortable feeling. I was in town to visit family and they came over for a while. There is a main lobby and several other seating areas throughout the hotel that offer couches and arm chairs. The bed was excellent. My 6 year-old niece came over and she loved the pool. It is a large indoor pool with an extremely large whirlpool. It looks like it can fit 30 people. I had a guest room that was pool-side and it had a balcony overlooking the indoor pool.

Sheraton Bloomington Hotel, Minneapolis, MN was overall exactly what we were hoping for. We wanted a place that was close and/or easy to get to and from Minneapolis and St. Paul. An extra bonus was that it was close to the airport as well. But not so close that the roar of the planes disturbed our wonderfully restful sleep in the hotel's very very comfortable bed. They have a comedy club on-site,a lovely lobby lounge for meeting friends and sipping on a cocktail before/after dinner or before turning in for the night. They also have a nice little gift/convenience shop. We were concerned about being warm enough since we were visiting a cold place in the wintertime. It was perfect as we could control the heat to our liking and it was a great system. This is a very nice hotel and on a star scale of 1 - 5,.... we give it 3.5 stars. We will stay there again if we are visiting the area.

We stayed only two days. Stayed on 18th floor. The first day was fine but the next day was horrible. We awoke at 5:00 a.m. to get ready to depart the hotel and head to the airport to catch our early flight. Well we had no hot water! The day before we had no hot water problems. We let the water run in hopes is would get hot and called the front desk who sent up someone. The repair man left our room and about 10 minutes later called to say they needed to turn up the temp on the water tank. So we decide to just sponge bath and head to the airport. Manager offers us a free night stay I advise manager that would be fine if it is good at all Sheraton's because we have no plans in the future to be in Minneapolis. Manager said no it is only good at their hotel! Next time we vacation you can bet we will not be staying at a Sheraton! The walls are "very" thin. We could here the guy in the next room clearing his throat. The people up stairs opening the curtains and walking across the floors. Bathroom is very small. I could sit on the toilet and put my feet on the wall in front of me and at the same time touch the wall next too me!

Nice aesthetic but costly to eat, stay, internet use, etc. Rude desk staff! WOW! Great location but too urban and/or big city for a family traveling through. This Sheraton Bloomington is for a cold, focused business traveler with no regard for warmth. Only aesthetic and basic needs. Take this place off the 3star!

It's my first time ever in this state and have no idea what to expect but as soon as I check in, I know that I'll be just fine. I came over to watch a football game (Vikings vs. Raiders). All the folks around me has been nothing but nice and helpful. The staffs in the hotel has been very nice and easy to deal with. Hotel was pretty much centralized and closed enough to airport, Mall of America and downtown. Special thanks to the shuttle drivers for not getting tired of giving directions to his passengers. The shuttle ride sure made things a lot easier for us newcomers. I shall definitely stay in this hotel again the next time I'm in town.

A friend and I met here and stayed over labor-day weekend and had a very good time. The only complaint I have is the airport shuttle only ran until 10:00pm. I arrived at 10:45pm. The taxi ride was $22.00 + tip. Internet access is charged for ($5.95 for 15 minutes) so even though I brought my lap-top I still had to pay to Surf. Hotel staff is very friendly. As this is a conference hotel the holiday week-end meant that there was no salesmen-like fellow guests mostly families and pleasure travelers.

The bed/mattress was extremely comfortable! Bathroom was a 1-2 star-definitely not 3 or 4 star. Very easy to find and get to. Again, that bed/mattress was so very comfortable, my daughter and I had no problem sleeping. We got a room with a tiny, strangely plumbed bathroom. Though everything was very clean, I wouldn't want to have spent much time in it because it was so small. It was clean, nice, quiet, and easy to get to.
