From the NorthM1 Junction 33 take the A630 Sheffield and continue on this dual carriageway for approx 3 miles nd filter off to the left onto the A630 following signs for the A6102. Continue following signs for the A6102 Ring Road for approximately 3 miles and then pick up signs for the A61 Chesterfield. At the third roundabout take the first exit and the hotel entrance is 200 yards on your left.From the SouthFrom the south exit the M1 at junction 29. Take the A617 to Chesterfield and then pick up the A61 to Sheffield. The hotel is on the opposite side of the carriageway after you pass the City of Sheffield boundary.From Sheffield City CentreFollow signs for the A61 to Chesterfield for approximately 5 miles and the hotel is 200 yards after the Meadowhead roundabout.

Good Value overallThe Hotel is very well located. The room was of decent quality. The self serve english and/or buffet breakfast was very good. The receptionist was very helpful. My only complaint was that a parking charge was additional at exit from the car park, albeit the hotel gives a discount on the full NCP charge.

Room was only partly cleaned after first night, dirty coffee cup and biscuit wrappers. The issue was adressed promptly after reporting though.

Needs a faceliftThis hotel is a good example of letting a website image give a false impression of a hotels true appearnace. On approach to the hotel you are confronted with a disused petrol station that is overgrown with weeds and boarded up. hardly the Park Inn's fault but off putting all the same. Then you are guided to an NCP car park to the rear of the hotel that is also a little intimidating. It was pouring with rain when I got there and looked generally pretty grim.On check in I felt the over all appearnace was shabby and in need of a good clean and decoration. there is evidence of this taking place on the fifth floor where I was accomodated for my one night visit. Sadly, the pervading aroma of paint was only the start. My room itself was a throwback to the early 90's, dark wood panelling with self adhesive lettering warning me to "mind my head" on the overhead cupboard. This hotel is not air conditioned so the fact it was raining when I arrived and not a glorious sunny July day was a blessing in disguise. The worst feature of the room was the smell of stale smoke and tobacco. Just sticking a non smoking room notice on a bedroom door is not enough to transform a room that formely allowed smoking into a smoke free zone. As any non-smoker will testify the stink of old smoking is awful. You need to change the carpet, curtains and mattress as well as redecorate. The window was left open to clear the air a task in which it failed.The TV was a relic and the bathroom belongs in a museum.I think you can safely assume I will not stay here again when the choice of more modern hotels in the area is so abundant. My advice to Park Inn Sheffield is close down for a major refit and come back to the marketplace when you represent a 21st century hotel.

Sheffield stayWell situated easy to find hotel.The room was basic but very comfortable.The television didn't work but the reception staff immediately offered to have it fixed if we needed it.All in all a very comfortable stay.

Park Inn, SheffieldDespite its poor aspect (over what appears to be a closed petrol station and local pub) the hotel is actually very appealing inside. My room was clean, attractively furnished and of a good size. Point to note, if you're walking from the station be prepared to navigate your way over a large roundabout- while you will be able to see the hotel, the route to it is far from obvious.

Perfectly adequate accommodation with safe parking, at a very reasonable price. Had an issue over a noisy TV in adjacent room but hotel dealt with it promptly. Our bar snack was a little disappointing. Would stay here again.

HotelAll the staff were OK but one female member of staff seemed to find everything to much aggro to help your stay more enjoyable even though it's her job.Mentioned to male staff and got a reply of "well your lucky we've got to work with her".lol.Overall recommended as barman did stay until we left in the early hours.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Good quality room, easy parking, everything worked. Sunday night stay was good value. Very few guests for breakfast / dinner meant lack of atmosphere, but food was good. Very friendly service.

Better than the rest...Nice and easy to find...good facilities in room and hotel...nice size rooms with good decor and furniture.... room safe and mini fridge in room...hair dryer hidden on edge of desk...'press button n pull'....I think that the bar menu may be better for business travellers.... friendly staff...good parking facilities...Negatives - wardrobe a little awkward small with iron (burnt offerings included) stuffed in tight space... complementary DSS Coffee was not great..... not sure about the fried potatoe wedges with steak in the restaurant and little extreme to charge extra for pep'corn sauce ontop of hotel overprice main meal.....Breakfast was an ushered in/out affair.... point to note: sit down, wait for coffee and order your fried eggs before heading for the buffet english breakfast .... avoid the dodgy cheap baked beans and sloppy paste looking scrambled eggs....

Staff were fine ,booking in was ok.The room was good too,as was the breakfast.Very good off road parking as well which cost nothing.
