I travel frequently around the state and I love this hotel. From the bottled water welcome at check in to the ride to the airport at departure, the place is a class act every step of the way. The rooms are comfortable, clean and thoughtfully appointed. I really like the charming fish sconce night lights and the flat screen tv's that allow you to plug in a portable DVD player and really enjoy a movie. If you don't have the cables with you, walk a few blocks to Radio Shack in Sitka and they will set you up. I like the separate coffee/makeup counter outside the bathroom that allows two people to get ready in the morning. The breakfast room is spacious and cheery with lots of good food to choose from, the public computers are speedy and free, the laundry room is a bargain and spotless...a great place to freshen up your wardrobe if you are on the road. Best of all are the views from the rooms, there really isn't a bad one, and the wonderful, professional and friendly staff. For my money, this is the best hotel in Sitka and one of the very best in the state. It's my favorite for comfort, affordability and amenities

Very friendly staff, availability of wireless internet, very nice rooms. This is a very hotel, with a very friendly staff. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. The continental breakfast is adequate - juice, pastries, cereal, bagels, fruit juices, milk, coffee and tea. The hotel has a computer available for the use of the guests, and free wireless in the rooms if you bring your own. The hotel is located in downtown Sitka near the bridge and a nice view of the water. Everything is in walking distance. The oriental restaurant in the hotel is very good. I'd highly recommend this hotel to any guest. It isn't fancy, but they will have a very pleasant stay.

The Shee Atika was comfortable and clean, and the staff was very helpful. The free shuttle really helped us out as well. We only spent one night but enjoyed our time there. The location is right downtown with a Subway across the street. The only thing that was a bit subpar was that it was a very windy night and a vent that's used in the winter wasn't sealed well and was noisy al l night. Otherwise, a great place to stay.

Sitka is a small town with few hotels. This was an excellent choice, being close to most attractions. While no restaurant, it had a free breakfast starting at 4:30AM, which helps if you are catching the 6AM plane to Seattle. There were restaurants close by. Also free transportation to and from the airport. Rooms were clean, airy and with pleasant views. There was adequate space, although not much for hanging clothes. An excellent choice for Sitka.

Excellent staff - without exception. Computer DSL hookup. No restraunt - sound proofing could be improved. Short walking distance to the Sitka Pioneer Home. I go to visit my 94 year old father often. Other folks would use it also if aware.

The Staff was responsive and friendly to all my needs. The noise level from the hallways to the rooms could be improved. Right on the waterfront. Overlooks fishing fleet. Walking distance to the entire down town area. No car is necessary. The Sitka Pioneer Home is located a very short distance away. Many folks, myself included, visit friends and family there. This is the place to stay for them.
