We had an excellent stay at this resort, which seems to target the Taiwanese tourist/honeymoon market. It is a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of city life in China. Be aware that this resort is at the very top of the mountain, a hair-raising 16km ascent around blind corners. We stayed in one of the tree-houses which had a babbling brook, birdsong and actual trees going through the roof. The tree-house was small but adequate with only a curtain separating the bedroom from the bathroom. The weather was quite humid so we appreciated the air-conditioner, despite the fresh mountain air. There is one main restaurant attached to the resort. It has a range of Chinese staples which vary from edible to quite delicious. Prices are a little above average as would be expected, given the monopoly situation. The walks around the resort are peaceful and beautiful. If you are interested in KMT history, there are a number of historic sites. Otherwise, you can just enjoy the scenery. Overall, service is friendly and unobtrusive. We only had one complaint - the bed. It is a really hard box-spring, so if you prefer a softer slumber, bring a padded mattress cover. A pleasant place to spend the weekend.
