We only stayed the one night, but wanted to stay longer. The breakfast was good and the pool was awesome. The place is brand new, and the service at the front desk was top-notch. The only setbacks, were no available rollway cots (maybe they need to stock more) and slightly scratchy bed sheets. The bed, however, was beautiful and comfy.

I liked the decor. Gentleman at check in was very friendly and helpful.

Room was dirty and old. Air conditioner was too noisy. Bathroom needed complete refurb. Towels were threadbare and only two small bath towels. TV was broken and they could not fix or replace. Front desk staff not friendly or welcoming.

High ceilings, overall decor. Skimpy on the pillows. New hotel; overall appearance and comfort of the hotel very nice. Skimpy on the pillows and had no soap in our bathroom, but hotel staff was quick to bring more of both. Great breakfast area. Walls are very thin--you can hear a lot of what goes on in other rooms!

i have to admit after reading the reviews about the Claremont i was SCARED to death of even walking into this hotel...i was happy that the reviews were horrible as i went in thinking the worst and ended up being okay...it was no where near a great hotel but it served it's purpose and the location is excellent...it's within walking distance of everthing and beach is literally a 1/2 a block away which was great.....the hotel does need MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR updating, but who goes to South Beach to stay in their room...if your visit to South Beach is for rest and relaxation then i wouldn't suggets staying here, but if you need a place to store your close shower, get a 30 min nap and change clothes then you may want to consider the Claremont...i've stayed at other hotels in South Beach and paid alot more per nite and in all honesty the hotel wasn't much better than the Claremont...For the location and price i paid of * for 5 days 4 nites and hey you get what u paid for, but i would consider staying here again, the location was wonderful, the beds slept comfortably, the staff was nice and helpful, and front porch seating area is great..a few .things to consider if staying here...bring your own wash clothes LMAO...request the iron early in the day LMAO....and expect to get in the shower wash up and get out LMAO...this hotel is more like a motel, but it's not nearly as bad as some of the reviews...be your own judge but if you would rather save for eating drinking and clubbing...while being not even a full minute from the beach then i would suggest trying the Claremont out! good luck with your travels....

This hotel has a great location and is fairly new. The room was very spacious and clean. This would be a higher scoring hotel if the beds were more comfortable and the sound proofing was better.

The room was clean and comfortable. They didn't seem to care that kids were running up and down hallways all night long. Very annoying! The first night I stayed they must have had little league convention because it is right next to a baseball field. So, teenage boys where up and down the halls all night long. I called and nothing was done, finally at 3 am I opened my door to told them to move! Ridiculous that they allow this to happen. Other than that it was fine. The reason for my trip was to take care of my elderly grandmother in the nursing home, things where stressful I needed a place to relax and wind down. This was not it.

before booking the hotel I was a little skeptical after reading the reviews. We went on and booked because of the cost. After seeing the hotel I was pleased because the reviews made me expect the worse. If you dont plan on spending alot of time in the room this Hotel is good. There is no parking, 1 elevator (that was good when it worked). the appearance is a little out dated but they were under renovations at the time of our check in. The staff is very friendly and accomodating.... Dont forget to bring your wash cloth as they may run out!

The hotel said they had no towels to offer..this was after I checked in. There were bugs in the room. Bathtub was not cleaned! The 4 sets of guests that I met there all had problems with the hotel.

It was ridiculously nice for the price we paid for it. The pool was aimed at small children. The place was very nice, and very clean. The hotel was located right off the main areas we needed to go. The place seemed brand new. Breakfast was nice and filling! The waffles were fun and delicious.

Excellent breakfast selection. Room lighting and temperature control. Very good value. Pool area was a kids type pool, would be good for family type only.

It was a brand new facility - very nice and clean. The snow hadn't been cleaned away, and it made for very difficult walking in the parking lot. The lobby was tastefully decorated, with nice over-sized furniture in front of a fireplace. Great western decor throughout. The breakfast area was nice, with an assortment of tables for diners. The waffles at the breakfast bar were phenomenal, and there was a variety of cereals and pastries. I do wish there had been more fruit choices.

I liked the hot tub room! It was very inviting and comfortable. No stove or oven. It was clean and the room was nice and big. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
