It all started 18 years ago in 1991 by John and Judy with only 5 fan rooms. Together, they have planted all the trees and flowers in the garden. And it was known as Wildlife Lodge. With so much passion and interest in nature, they slowly increase the number of rooms to 60 rooms ranging from dormitory to air conditioned deluxe with balcony rooms. And now it is known as Sepilok Jungle Resort. After many years, all the trees have grown and now Sepilok Jungle Resort is set amidst in this magnificent landscape. They wanted everyone to enjoy their hard work and thus there are so many ranges of rooms so that people with different budget would be able to come to enjoy the nature in the resort. Here are the highlights of the latest developments at the Resort: new swimming pool, children's pool, jacuzzi, gym, sauna room, steam room and the fully air conditioned Poolside Jungle Cafe. There will be a lounge in the future. Watch out for this. John and Judy are still around and now their sons Johnny and Jason are taking over and share the same passion with their parents. We will take you back in time when humans were closer to nature. Sepilok Jungle Resort is set amidst beautiful landscape gardens and thousands of acres of tropical rainforest. Sepilok Jungle Resort is ideal for guests who wish to spend a quiet weekend with family and friends and desire only to be awaken by the chirping of birds and to hear the sound of cicada in the evening. Express busPlease inform the bus driver to stop you at sepilok junction. (you will see an orang utan roundabout). Cross the road to the junction. There should be carsvehicles at the junction. Tell them you want to stay at Sepilok Jungle Resort and they will send you in. Otherwise, you have to walk for 2.75km to reach us. After reaching us, Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre is only 5 minutes walk away. Bus from Sandakan townJourney from Sandakan town will take about 1 hour. Make sure you take the bus with Mile 14 Sepilok written on the wind shield or on the body of the bus. This bus goes directly to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation which is the last bus stop (Bus stop 10).You can stop at Bus stop 9.
