I was absolutely disgusted with the way i was treated at the Hotel Sempione! I had booked the hotel room six months in advance and had called a week prior to my stay to confirm the booking. When I arrived they said that my credit card had been declined (although it hadn't) and when i told them i was able to pay the money there in cash they offered me a room for twice the price and gave my room to another client. I did not stay as their behavior was appalling! Do not stay at this hotel!

Upon arrival to the hotel, 1st impressions were good from the outside. Once we got to reception, we were told that we were lucky to have a room even though it had been reserved. We had booked a twin room but got a room with 1 double bed which was more like an oversized single. Not ideal. Also when booking the hotel there was no mention of the building site next to the hotel that started up at 6.30am! Very annoying.

We had a very nice room, but our daughters were given a much smaller room overlooking the airconditioning plant. Seemed inconsistent as we paid the same price for both rooms.

On arrival the receptionist announced that the hotel was full. A room was booked for me at another hotel nearby. An incovenience but the receptionist was polite and gave me clear directions to the other hotel which was located within 100m. The other hotel 'Briziani' was fine. I've answered 'Yes' to 'Would you stay again?' because it is located conveniently between the centre and the main train station. I'd try again if the price were right!

The bathroom is extremely small. Air conditioning is very weak. I feel hot at night. The room is noisy. We can hear people talking in the corridor and knocking of doors at next room. The noise of truck along the road wake me up early in the morning. No free internet is provided although it says in the hotel policy that internet connection in the lobby is included in the price. But the staff is welcoming and friendly.

The staff, what can i say, the customer service was APPALLING. I arrived at the hotel and they told me my new credit card was declined and my booking was abandoned, the receptionist then preceded to offer me a room for double the price that i had paid on the net. My transaction was accepted on the net so if it was declined in the hotel why didn't they contact me. The man then told me i could look elsewhere but i won't find anything cheaper(in a very snappy voice). As it was a bank holiday I was forced to pay, I paid in cash and it was only when I was checking out of the hotel I saw a sign that said the credit card machine was out of service. It was an OUTRAGE! Also the man showed me the declined receipt and on it was a total of €49, when the room was in fact €40 on the net. He showed me other receipts and all said €49. "We do this with everyone", he said, "when it's accepted we then charge €40." For that reason alone I will never recommend this hotel or visit it ever again. I have had no problem with the hotel building itself, the room was actually quite nice, but only worth €40.

unfortunately we´ve got a room to the inner part and there was the terrible noisy ventilation system the hole night - the rest was ok - for the cheap price.

The mattress was possibly the best I've ever had in any hotel. The room was spotless with curtains plus roller shutter. The only criticism was that 1/2 of the shower door was missing and the card that needed to be kept in a slot to keep the lights on didn't work, so I had to get it out and put it back in again every 30s. It didn't matter much on this occasion as I fell asleep on the comfortable mattress within minutes (arrival at hotel 0030h, departure at 0545h explains for that), but would be a serious disadvantage in a more normal situation. It could possibly have been sorted out with the hotel staff though, I didn't try in the shortness of time.

Very friendly and helpful staff and nice room. Unfortunately there is a massive building project going on across the street so if you like to have your window open expect to be woken up by 6am to the sound of concrete breakers and workmen.Apart from the work currently under way I would heartily recommend this hotel.

As everybody says, the hotel has great location. 7 min walk to the Centrale station and 10-15 min easy walk to Duomo. We stayed 9 nights and we never used any transport. We even walked to Meazza stadium for a football game and it was like 80 minutes only. Room was small but very clean and comfortable. Very clean bathroom. People were very nice and always ready to help. Breakfast was tasty and fresh. A perfect place to stay in Milan. If we go back there, it will be Sempione again and I will recommend this to all my friends. We stayed in room 308.

located close to the central station, clean hotel, standard continental breakfast. Unfortunately exactly opposite the hotel (we were at the front) there is a building site and we were woken by the sound of a cement mixer early in the morning (apart from the day it poured of rain!) looks like this will continue for sometime but if you are not bothered by that it was a good hotel.

The room was brand new, very stylish, especially the bathroom with impressive chrome fittings and marble floor and tiles. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was reasonably good. The location is excellent, near the station and fairly near the Duomo etc.

Excellent centrally located small hotel. Walking distance from Central Station buses/trains. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Helpful, friendly staff, with all the facilities you really need. Good value, although at full price rooms are expensive. Didn't have time to try breakfast but minibar and lobby bar drinks were sensibly priced.I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Milan on business or for pleasure.

Hotel recién reformado, está genial. Por poner alguna pega el trato más bien frio del servicio, aunque es algo generalizado en Milán.

The receptionist was blunt and not helpful when I asked about the restaurant. The room was not so bad, but it was quite noisy because of noise of construction which was next to my room. The breakfast was good.
