We stayed at the Sebel Surrey Hills for one night before flying back to the U.S. It is a perfect location as it is an easy walk (even with suitcases) from the Central Train station. We took the train from the airport one afternoon and back to the airport the next afternoon. The hotel is within walking distance of Darling Harbor, China Town, and Circular Quay. It is around the corner from the 555 bus line which is a free bus that circulates through the central business district including Circular Quay. The service was pleasant, the rooms were spotless and roomy. We did not use the pool or fitness center. I highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel in a slightly unsavoury part of the city. Room was large, comfortable, very clean, and with good amenities. The hotel was under renovations so we didn't have the opportunity to explore fully some faciliteis that might usually be on offer. Staff members were helpful and the location made it easy to walk to city and transport with the advantage of leaving the car parked at the hotel.

We stayed twice - the first time in early october we had a double room with a cot jammed in and not much room for the three of us. Our return trip a few weeks later was a lot better with a bigger room for our triple and a decent gap between the three of us. The pool was a godsend for one of us. One annoyance - given the amount we paid for our room I was a little annoyed we'd have to pay extra to use the internet. Admittedly we didn't come to Sydney to use the net, but it just makes it more convenient if we don't have to go somewhere cheaper to use it to confirm flights, check email etc. I'd stay there again if I was sharing costs with two other people and had to rely on public transport (Central Station was _very_ handy closeby), otherwise if I travel solo I'll just go to a cheaper motel.

Old hotel and definitely not a 4 star anymore. Close to train station so transport is reasonable. I advise anyone pay a little more and stay in the harbor area close to everything.

Hotel very well postitioned for Central Railway Station. Close to Crown Street pubs and restaurants. Large comfortable rooms. Staff friendly and efficient. Would stay again. Great cafe around the corner on Mary Street (Strawberry X) - recommended by reception staff.

This hotel surpassed my expectations. I had a wonderful stay and found the staff friendly, helpful and efficient. My room was very clean, quiet and comfortable, with touches of luxury. I am looking forward to staying there again.
