The hotel had very nice, clean rooms and was easy to get to the beach.

Great location andnicely decorated. Elevator problems andsmall rooms. We had a great time, hotel was nice, decorated tropical, great location. Room could have been bigger.

The Hotel was more like a 2 star hotel rather the 3 star as stated on travel website. I am not sure what the rate was because it was a package deal. I never really spoke with the front desk except to ask for more towels. The hotel was busy with spring breakers. The location and views from the hotel were great, right on the beach. We were busy touring Charleston, so we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel, except to sleep and shower. The rooms were small and in need of updating. The beds were comfortable and maid service was ok. I would return again for a bargain.

This is a lovely, recently updated beach-front hotel. I found an excellent on line rate and wondered what I would get for my money. I was delighted! The room was small but instead of the two "doubles" as advertised, the room had two queens!! I was there off-season and my room perfect for me. It was quiet, comfortable and felt very safe. I have a fairly small car (Toyota Solara) and was able to park in the garage. I would definitely go back off season.

Our experience was excellent. THis was the 2nd time that I stayed at the Seaside Inn and I was not disappointed.

The locationwas great and right on the beach. Room was small, dark andmildew in shower. The best thing about this hotel was it's location. The room was also clean for the most part, but there was mildew in the shower and dust on the ceiling fan.

First of all the elevator did not work during our two day stay. Something like that should be fixed immediatly. Secondly, the desk staff was so laid-back to be uninformed. When we asked for a recommendation on a nearby restaurant with a good vegetarian menu, they couldn't provide one. Instead the desk person raved about how she really had to eat red meat to feel good. Oh, we found a good one ourselves. No HBO, no Showtime etc. -- the staff said to cut back, all premium channels had been taken off the cable package. So Third World. No bathtubs (a personal peeve). While our room was clean it was also a little seedy. Water flew out of the shower into the toilet area -- hey why not install a better shower curtain, they might cost $2 more.. Tiles in shower area were extremely uneven (poor workmanship). TV remote could not up or down channels - instead each one had to be entered in individually. The breakfast buffet was pretty poor -- no fruit -- and I got grief from the staff for coming in at 7 am to get coffee (food not available until 7:30). Plenty of loud tenants but they quieted down on their own at about 11. Glad I did not have to call the desk. Fantastic view. Great parking on-site for small cars. All in all barely OK.

Location of hotel was great, right on the beach. The beds were comfortable. The only thing that disappointed me a little was the pool. The pool is a glorified bath tub at only 3 1/2 feet deep and about 7ft by about 12ft. Oh, and there are no bath tubs in the rooms only shower, so not a good place to stay if you have small children that cannot take showers.

My husband and I actually live 10 minutes from here. It was my birthday and my parents were watching our child so we decided to get a hotel for the night. Our budget was tight and the Seaside Inn was the lowest on Isle of Palms. We paid $99/night and it was a great location for the price. We wanted something that was on the beach (this room didn't have a view but the hotel is oceanfront) and near the restaurants and bars so we wouldn't have to drive anywhere. The Seaside Inn is 2 doors down from the Windjammer (great local bar with music) and near Coconut Joe's (great seafood restaurant with a rooftop bar that has music). The hotel is non-smoking but the first room we went in had been smoked in. The guy at the front desk got us another room which smelled fine but we didn't want to be near the pool. He again switched rooms and the 3rd was also was clean and in a better location. It was nothing fancy but we didn't expect fancy for the price and location. Standard stuff- tv, iron, hairdryer, coffeemaker, and a microfridge. They have a continental breakfast from 7:30-10:30am but we slept through that! We got a great night's sleep and it was quiet. However, we were there on Tuesday night and none of the bars had bands playing that night. If you want quiet, I would not recommend going there in the summer on a night when there is music playing. Or at least request to be on the side furthest from the Windjammer. But if you plan on dancing or partying, then you can't beat the location!

Excellent location with good price. Room was small, but comfortable.

The rooms where VERY SMALL, there was just enough room between bed and door to walk in. There was recent stains on a bed linens, and I saw a bug on the floor. The front desk manager Rick was not helpful at all and made me feel like I was bothering him. The location was nice and the furniture and bathroom fixtures were nice, but I will not stay here again. The rate that I paid was way to high for this hotel.

this hotel was dirty! we waited until 4pm to check in because housekeeping was not finished, but when i looked under the bed, there was garbage that did not belong to us. it smelled moldy. there was mold in the shower. yes, the location is beach front but not the room offered. you DO have to pay for parking even though you are given a parking pass. the swimming pool was the size of a bathtub. i was so upset about the room, then on the day of check out we found a cockroach in the bathroom. beach front yes, but so not worth it!

I loved the beach. We had a broken microwave which never got fixed. Comfortable for the money.

My family totally enjoyed being next to the beach and close to local restaurants. This made a good location from which to explore historic Charleston and attractions in Mt. Pleasant and also be able to take advantage of being right on the ocean. The room itself was pleasant, on the small side, yet had all we needed given the fact that we were not spending much time in the room because of all the outdoor activities. We were surprised to find that the pool was only about 15 x 30 ft in size, if that, but it was adequate for cooling off and the depth was just right for kids. The service was pleasant, location was pretty quiet. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

I took myself on a whim of a mid-week vacation. The Seaside Inn staff were incredibly accommodating and very knowledgeable about shopping, dining and attractions. My favorite part of the entire trip was curling up on the veranda with a bottle of wine and a novel. The view was stunning and I instantly relaxed into the spotless room.

On beach, bars within walking distance. Bathroom wasnot clean andstaff wasnot friendly. The best thing this hotel has going is the location. Located right on beach, bars and shopping all around hotel. Staff was not that friendly. Waited for room to get cleaned, then bathroom wasn't fully cleaned.

Lots of rooms have a nice view of the beach whether beach front or not. Rooms are niceer than you'd expect for a smalll beach hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Stayed once, been back 3 times since!

The Seaside Inn is an a beautiful location, tucked away on the Isle of Palms. We visited during our Spring Break during April and found a quiet and inviting setting for our getaway. The rooms were more than adequate for my husband and I. The best part was the close proximity to the ocean. From our room, you could be on the beach in only a minute! We didn't spend a great deal of time in the room, but found the location of the hotel ideal for visiting the coastal Carolina area as well as downtown Charleston. The marina and access to the water taxi service was only minutes away and made traveling downtown a breeze! We will definitely return to the Isle of Palms and the Seaside Inn again. It was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a break!

Towels were soft. Smell of the room, no where to put suitcase, bag, stained and dirty carpet.

Would definitely book the Seaside Inn for another stay. Great location on the beach and close to Charleston. Excellent room service and friendly staff.
