Bleak, Dull, Cold, Dingy..... - Only one restaurant serving practically the same buffet every day. - Room Freezing. AC did have a heat option but it sounded like a a 747 landing. - Empty mini bar, not even a bottle of water! On the plus side - large grounds leading to the beach and nice pools. But watch out for the waft of gas from the only buildings around for miles : the gas plant next door!

Don't be taken in by the very smooth hype. This a seriously poor hotel, seriously understaffed and seriously over-priced. Where do I start? Well - a point from a previous reviewer is a good place to begin. When I tried to complain I couldn't, because indeed, there were no feedback or 'suggestion' forms. And as the one computer was 'unavailable' I was forced to handwrite my complaints. I left my details but they never got back to me, which tells you a lot about the management - sweeping under the carpet until the whole place collapses under the weight of its own inefficiency. Get this - they announced on the evening of our first day that on the next day there would be no electricity! When I complained, they said that we had been informed on booking. Absolute nonsense. We wouldn't have come. It was then a nightmare - we couldn't even use our own toilet! But these things can happen, of course. It was their attitude to our discomfort (we were practically the only ones there - low season) that was the most significant thing. Discount? Not part of their vocabulary. The rooms are nice, yes - but the walls are thin. There were dozens of chalets empty, and they put us next door to the only other people in the hotel! And they had young babies. Agh! We have older kids, but what was the point in providing us all with mutual misery for our money? We asked to move, of course, and it took them hours to get round these complex (!) logistics, lots of sighing, etc. But what could have been simpler - to have avoided this in the first place? The gym is crap - and the children´s play area is simply laughable. The whole place needs a coat of paint and the management a kick up the butt. The food is poor, and you pay through the nose for everything, because you are in the middle of nowhere. But the beach is dirty and strewn with rubbish. Their fault? No, but nobody cleans it up. They're just not bothered. Don't go. It'll spoil your weekend. Stay in Doha and get some real service from some of the excellent hotels there. This place deserves to be at least boycotted, then preferably nuked.

Nice building and location BUT Poor reception, & terrible management. When I first arrived I was asked for my passport and my marriage certificate and my wife's passport. I was given four different pieces of documents that I had to sign. One of them is a small booklet with all items in the room listed from TV set to writing pen each one of them has the price of it next to which I would have to pay in case of damage all lost. The other documents were undertakens, not to make voices or sounds, one of the documents is an undertaken to pay all the bills without arguments. I had to pay for three nights in advance for the two rooms I booked (the whole period me and my family are staying ) Not only that I had to pay a deposit of 1500 QR about $350 before giving me the room keys claiming that to cover room service. When ordering room service I was asked to pay cash, the second time I asked for room service I refused paying cash and had to called reception. On the third night at about 2:00 AM I woken up by the reception telephoning me to tell me that my deposit for the room service has been consumed and that I owe them 47 QR about 13 dollars. (At 2 AM)!!!!!!!!! I was treated as if I was trying to steal them or outsmart them. What do you expect from an Egyptian management.
