We really liked this hotel. Even though we didn't op for the beach view, the view of the city was great. We loved the location. We could walk out of the hotel onto the beach - much better than a vay view :) We were far enough south to enjoy the beaches but far enough north to enjoy the benefits of 'non-tourist' prices (Walmart - 15 minutes away). Also, it was less-family oriented than some of the other hotels (e.g., no playground), which meant the hotel as well as the beach behind the hotel was also more quiet and romantic.

Beautiful entrance way and great views from the room, very comfortable. Despite lower fee for the room, everything else was a la carte in every way. We liked the hotel, the staff and would stay there again. I felt that the breakfast while excellent was pricey and was disappointed that we could not opt for the economical buffet breakfast. The bathroom had plumbing problems though these were attended to very quickly. It was odd to me that one had to pay to lay on a lounge chair ($10.00 per person per day), you would think this would be included in the price of the room.

The female front desk was rude and unaccomedation! She try to say I reservation was for a king bed, when there was 3 of us (1 teenager)no way would i make that reservation!! there was no room service available. We choose this hotel because we wanted a hotel with a fitness center. well the fitness center in the hotel was a ADDITIONAL 10 A DAY to use! No where does it state that there would be a extra fee of 10 a day to use the onsite gym!! also we had not coffee maker nor a vcr in our room! And the walls are very thin and you can hear ""EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM NEXT TO YOU""!!

We did not know what to expect since we dont trust reviews all the time, but it was so good that it really deserves my review. This is a classy place no question or doubt about it. State of the ar lobby and lounges. The staff extremely friendly, they come twice to your room, the first time to make the room, and leave it spotless complete with all you may need like shampoo, body wash etc, plenty of towels and I mean plenty, then they come again in the evening to turn the covers down to get you ready to go to bed. Flat screen tv and supersize fridge were very welcome. We could store pretty well anything from drinks to cold cuts etc and a nice size freezer section. Complimentary breakfast was a buffet with lots of goodies meat and eggs and all ( we are kosher so we only had coffee) and we were allowed to bring our own food to the restaurant after we explained our situation. The good part is you dont need valet parking since the parking lot is within a few steps from the lobby so you can go and get your own car/ The beach is the cleanest we ever seen and if you pay for one chair it is good for the pool and the beach. You can also rent a chair for half a day only keep that in mind, and if it rains ask for a rain check ( no pun intended) for the chairs they will give it to you. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone. If you are jewish and need a synagogue there are three within a 10 minute walk all orthodox and plenty of kosher restaurants just around the block. we enjoyed this vacation and the hotel was the main reason.

The lobby was very clean, the swimming pool was nice and the the beach was close. Drinks were costly, food was not that good. Staff was nice, the hotel was kept clean. I thought the rooms have been remodeled recently.

Nothing is great abouth this hotel. Some people that tried to help. Don't take tours from hotel, they charge you extra. Go to docks to take your tour. Don't ask for anything after 11, you will not get it. No valet 24/7 as stated. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. More to tell on another site

Hotel was traditional and the reception area and rooms were very well maintained. The extra charges for parking $18 a day and use of the pool sun beds was a bit steep. This hotel is on the direct bus route to South beach and for $2 per person it is an ideal way to see the area - the overall price for this hotel is in my opinion too high especially with the added charges and no breakfast included in the price.

Very reasonable price in a very expensive area. Added costs for parking (typical of the area) and for poolside or beach lounge chairs can raise the cost.

Great views, good service. Fees for service, parking, computer room. Sea View Hotel is a fine accommodation for anyone willing to pay the price for splendid service and attentive staff.

Great location in bel harbour on collins ave. I was not to happy with the fitness centre but the long walks on the beach well made up for it. This was one of our best trips everything set into place even the weather was 100% .

The location. The staff was polite but cold. The hotel is in a great location and the view was great but I thought the staff lack a little bit of warmth, the should have been a little bit friendlier.

The room was really great, big, two windows that gave me a view to the ocean & the city. Loved it. The hotel was under construction. It is a colonial hotel with ocean view, very cozy and clean. The cabanas outside gave it a sense of the 1940's. It was exactly what I was looking for. Not too much luxury, but classy.

The hotel first impression is a very good one. My room was spacious; however, was a little tired and needed a face lift. It was comfortable and quiet. The pool area was undergoing repairs. I was not satisfied to learn that in order to sit in the sun on a chaise, around the swimming pool,it would cost about $11.00 per day extra. This is not acceptable when you are at a resort. It was the first time that this had happened to me. I have stayed at more luxurious hotels and have never been charged extra to sit by the pool.

Location. Medical emergency. Would not even consider a partial refund. Even though this hotel is a few doors down from my mother-in-law, I will not ever book there again. We had a medical emergency come up and could not fly and they wouldn't even consider a partial charge.

Great location and quality breakfast. Built in 1943, but still classy. The Sea View is located in a safe, upscale location. The staff were friendly yet reserved. This is not a new hotel, it's 1940's hotel full of class and style. The service was great, pool and beach just as expected. Real nice.
