Location. The Sea-U Guest House is tucked within a garden setting along the seaside slopes of Tent Bay in Bathsheba, Barbados. This island property stands near the site of the Soup Bowl international surfing championships. Bus stops are located nearby. Bridgetown is 14 kilometers away. Hotel Features. This island hideaway features hammocks strung between coconut palms growing along a coastline where the Atlantic Ocean waves break against massive limestone boulders. The Sea U Private Guest's ocean-view restaurant is located in a gazebo adjacent to the main building. Tables and chairs are constructed from local mahogany trees. The restaurant serves breakfasts including homemade breads, and three-course dinners such as chicken breast with pineapple, and marlin in rum-butter sauce. Full bar amenities are available. The Sea U Private Guest staff can arrange airport pick-up services. Guestrooms. A main house offers four smoke-free studio apartments. Front doors open onto porches with deck chairs and ocean or garden views. Pale gray buildings are constructed of hardwoods. Rooms are decorated with mahogany furniture, louver window treatments, rattan chairs, locally handcrafted clay lamps and batik art. The air-conditioned, smoke-free Sea-U Cottage houses two studio apartments on the top floor and a one-bedroom apartment on the ground floor. Studios offer louver doors and windows, and ceiling fans that circulate ocean breezes. Select bathrooms contain shower/tub combinations, while others offer showers only. Accommodations feature kitchenettes. Expert Tip.
