We stopped for 1 night on our way through. We could see the 4th fireworks from our balcony and had a fantastic but short visit. Super comfy bed very nice room! Highly recommend this hotel as money well spent. **Starbucks 1 block away**

The location is downtown, perfect for city exposures. The beds are hard and the pillows are foam. Lots of noise from highway. Great place for family's or weekend warriors. They have small balcony's with some rooms- great for smokers and tokes.

We just spent well over 300.00 for a resort in Oregon last night and had a better stay here than in the resort. We will be coming back here and staying when we drive down the coast.

Older property that has been remodeled, very nice upgrade. Great bed!!! Close to Oldtown and restaurants. Has covered parking, which is nice if you travel in a convertable or on a motorcycle as I often do when I go to Eureka. It can often be foggy and/or drizzly there in the mornings. Room was a little small, but still comfortable.

We were in Eureka to celebrate our 10yr wedding anniversary. The first room we were given, Rm 208, smelled bad; like someone had been smoking in it despite being a non-smoking room. We asked for a different room which the staff very nicely upgraded us and apologized for the inconvenience. The room we got was great; very clean and no bad smell. Unlike some smoking/non smoking hotels we have stayed at, this one did not smell in the halls. Small but nice gym/sauna in hotel and complimentary access to the gym across the street. The continental breakfast was ok- waffles and hard boiled eggs amongst the usual. Staff was very friendly-

There were plumbing problems in the bathroom sink: Drain wouldn't close and Hot:cold was reversed. Other than that location was great, within walking distance of Old Town, and easy driving distance to the Redwood Parks. Of concern, however, was the Fire Department next door but luckily no sirens while we were there.

I would have never picked this hotel because it is in downtown Eureka and next to the Fire Department. But the decor and rooms were very nice.

The Scottfield room was roomey and the beds were comfortable and nicely decorated. There was a real refrigerator and recliner chair with a lamp in a separate room, but no chairs in the room with the beds and TV. The bathroom was clean except for some mold on the grout in the tub/shower wall. The staff was very pleasant. However, one key card didn't work right off the bat, and both key cards didn't work the second day. They fixed that problem and all was working after that. The complementary breakfast was nice, but there were only three tables, so we were able to sit there and eat only one morning. There was plenty of parking, an elevator, and a room with treadmill and an exercise machine, like a Bowflex. There was also a sauna room, although we did not use those facilities. There was also a pass to use the gym across the street, but we didn't take advantage of that either. One night at midnight there was loud noise and jumping and running upstairs. The office said they would settle them down. The noise lasted another half hour. That can happen anywhere, and those people checked out the next morning. The hotel is right on Hwy 101, but was quiet in the room. We faced away from the street, and our view looked directly at a fire station. Better tan most of the motels on Hwy 101, all in all.

Very friendly, funny, and informative lady at the check-in. Steered us to a really fun and delicious restaurant. We would stay there again.
