The Grandhotel Schoenegg is a small family owned hotel which accommodates a maximum of 75 people in 33 rooms, 2 suites and 1 family apartment. Situated in the most beautiful location, overlooking Zermatt and with a spectacular view of the famous Matterhorn. The hotel has its own private lift - The Schoenegg Express - which takes you from the town center traight up to the reception. The Sunnegga lift and the bus stop for the Klein Matterhorn lift are within one minute walk from the tunnel entrance, the Gornergrat train, main railway station and the village center are all within five minutes walk. Our hotel is well known for its fine cooking and choice of wines. The restaurant -Gourmetstuebli- offers an excellent choice of a-la-carte dishes or for our halfboard guests, our chef creates a five course meal ending every day on a high point. To relax after a strenous day, we recommend our new renovated spa area with sauna, steambath, Jacuzzi and -Kneipp -corner. Or try one of our well known relaxing massages. On your arrival in Zermatt we fetch you at the station or at the taxi stand and bring you back when you leave. Cancellation without penalty is possible until 16:00 hours hotel time, 28 days prior to arrival. The Granhotel Schoenegg situation is the best as a hotel, in whole of Zermatt. Located off the village and by the Schoenegg Express almost in the center. Perfect located to all Ski areas. In winter skiers can reach the hotel directly from the slopes, back the hotel. Marvelous views to the worlds most famous mountain the Matterhorn

Gourmetstuebli - Hotel own restaurant with high standard French cuisine. Awarded with 14 points Gault Millau. Superb views from the Restaurant to the world famous mount Matterhorn. Ristorante Da Giuseppe - Italian food in a very special italian atmosphere. Giuseppe is always there. Pretty small and a little noisy. Good food but no pizzas. Restaurant Chez Heini - Zermatts best restaurant for lamb specialties. Very special atmosphere, because the owner is the cook and is singing after 10pm - good show.
