The location is far away from the center of Rome, buss has to be used to get to the center. If you are arriving by car the location will be OK due to easy parking. The hotel is still rather new and the function was OK. It is good value for the money if you accept to stay some way from the center.

avoid the restaurant!!! Frozen ready dishes only! I had a quite noisy room, close to staircases. The table in the room was too smal, with the TV on it, and I had almost no room for a laptop to work on it. No power plugs easily available to recharge my laptop or mobile. Small batroom not really well equipped.

Hotel itself was nice, but nothing could make up for the terrible location. Bus ride from Cornelia metro stop and long walk up hill added an hour to commute to city center/sights. Used condoms strewn on sidewalk and pedestrian bridge.

Buona posizione, facilmente raggiungibile dal raccordo anulare. Fermata dell'autobus abbastanza vicina. Stanze confortevoli perchè abbastanza grandi e ben condizionate.

VERY VERY difficult to get to. Infrequent bus service from the Metro station to Panaroma Super market from where there is a steep climb to the hotel.

This hotel was very difficult to find. The room was tiny but clean and the staff was helpful. For the price, it was a good, air conditioned place to stay while in Rome since we spent most of our time touring anyway.

We reached hotel from London last fight around 01;30 hrs. For next day we had requested a Pompeii one day tour booking in advance for Sat 14th June'08 leaving hotel at 06:15 hrs. On arrival we were told no such booking has been made. So next day quite early in the morning we had to run around to find out the tour operator, get to the pick up point. Also they could not give us adequate packed b/fast before we left for the Pompeii tour though all was laid out. Nevertheless our stay was enjoyable.

Actually i can rate only the welcoming and the Hotle surroundings, since they had overbooked so that we were kindly upgraded to Hotel Black ( 4 stars superior ) for the same price. They got a problem but solved it brilliantly for us since Black Hotel is very nice. scheppers looks more or less as in their pictures, it's located in a Hotel Area , nothing else around, along Via Aurelia. In 10 minutes drive by car you reach all main interest areas in Rome ( Piazza Navona etc ). If you don't use car there is a public bus line nearby , but of course you have to walk 5 minutes to catch it...

We stayed in Rome a total of 6 days, 3 of them at Scheppers Hotel. The website is misleading. There was no resturant and we were hungry after a day of traveling. There were no resturants even close by, so we went to a grocery store, bought some prepared food to eat, then were told by the hotel personnel, that we were not allowed to eat it down in the lobby, that it wouldn't look good to other customers. There is a big banquet room right there, but they didn't offer that to us, we had to go up to our room, there were 5 of us, and try to eat our meal. The website also advertised shuttle service, but didn't say that only 8 people at a time could ride, and there is only one shuttle. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere. If it weren't for the grocery store, we'd of been out of luck. The grocery store is quite a walk also.On the good side, the hotel is very clean. The walls are very thin, you could hear practically everything going on around you. I had to wear ear plugs. We had made our reservations in Aug. for November, and they didn't have a double room available for the other couple in our group. They had a single room and paid for double. Just a bad experience. We would not stay at Scheppers if we visited Rome again.

As shown on the map the hotel should be in the immediate surroundings of the Vatican, "in a green, quite area of the city". Instead it revealed itself to be close to the very end of Rome's periphery, in a slightly dubious quarter (red-lightish for the least, which i shall not judge...could actually be an advantage for somebody). If you travel by car you have to pay attention not to miss the almost invisible beginning of the hotel-street folding away from Via Aurelia. But the hotel has a safe parking, rare facility in Rome, and bus services to and from the center, some 30 min drive all in all. The rooms are sterile and impersonal but clean and spacious. If you are in love enough, i would say, a stay in hotel Sheppers shouldn't be too deranging.

This was our first time to visit Scheppers. The location was excellent for early flight. But unfortunately your photos promised a little bit too much. At least our room for four persons was shabby and very small. On the other hand the bathroom was well equipped with enough towels and soap. Thank you for that. The information how to travel to the city center was clear and very friendly. Other guests disturbed with their noisy homecoming at 3 a.m. When we were leaving at about 4.30 for some reason we could not pay with our credit car. Maybe problems with the connections? (Our Card was OK at Rome airport hour later) Well, we had cash and it was not a problem. Our staying for one night was OK. Thank you Katriina Huhtala

my daughter and I travelled together. Scheppers is on a hill, so if you aren't in your own transport or taxi, it is awkward...the hotel offers a shuttle to the nearest trainstation at set times, but nothing on your return, which would have been a godsend, seeing the geographical position of the hotel....nice and peaceful tghere during the day, but OH SO NOISY at night....school kids getting in at 11pm and running rampant till after 1am was not our idea of a good nights rest... breakfast was good. no bar or safe facilities in the room.
