This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in i think im still in shock over our room it was a disgrace for the money we paid, the service on sunday morning was as bad no clean tables staff couldn't be bothered never ever going back there.

Hotel caters for people over seventy. Not good for young family's, no children menu, buffet breakfast long wait in line same dinner time anything up to an hour and half to finish your meal, tea coffee served in lounge from cold flasks. Hotel room dingy and dated our room faced the back of the hotel old wooden windows with frosted glass bathroom frosted glass bottom of window, clear glass top other room to the side of hotel could look straight in. Shower room still had scum on tiles, entertainment was a man on a keyboard, so if your looking for good time don't go here.

The hotel was very dirty and in need of a good cleanOn arrival at the room, we found that the room had not been serviced properly. The bin hadn't been emptied, the shower was disgusting and full of hair and dirt. The carpet had not seen a hoover in weeks and there was dust everywhere, not just a little bit it was thick with dust.We complained to reception about this several times and after waiting approx an hour the Duty Manager arrived to investigate, we had to wait at least another hour for it to be cleaned properly.Breakfast was of limited choice and of below average quality and the restaurant was full of dirty tables waiting to be cleared.Overall the hotel needs a good clean.We were not impressed by our stay at all and we would never stay there again.

dinner timethe organisation at dinner do not exist. ie the table allocation is rubbish people are told sametable as last time but some1 else is sitting there. other than that everything else was great

Value Vs ComfortAlthough you cannot really knock this hotel for value I was very disapointed with a few things that put a dampener on my stay. Our room was very small and although we paid for a double, it was not infact a full double bed we had, which is always a squeeze when there are 2 of you. Also matress was very unconfortable as could feel every spring all over my body. The food was ok, but service was a bit grumpy.

Very DisappointingReception/ bar staff really nice. Room just OK, shower was broken. Breakfast was a dreadful experience. Cheap nasty food cooked in oil that had not been changed for a long time. Tea and coffee tasted the same!! Self service facilities totally inadequate for no. of guests

Excellent sea front position the hotel sits like a grand dutchess who although she may be past her heyday - there is life in the old girl yet. Comfortable clean rooms, good traditional food and friendly staff. Ideal base for a Blackpool getaway. Breakfast may be served a little late for the business traveler but ideal for leisure stays

Only had breakfast. The tea was undrinakable, but otherwise the food was adequate, but nothing to wrte home about. Also the sing said please wait to me seated, but no-one was actullay seating guests at the tables - very annoying.

Where do I start???......I booked this room at The Savoy after looking at various B&B's and other Hotels in Blackpool.(The expectation was that with a brand name such as The Savoy, you would expect a reasonable level of presentation, service and quality.)Shortly after booking the room with Laterooms.com, my wife phoned the hotel to enquire/ request a cot for our 8 month old daughter. She was told 'no problem' and that one would be available for us.When we arrived and checked in, there was no sign of any cot (or any record of my wifes request). After initially being told that we would 'now be lucky' to get a cot for the night, the reception staff eventually came good and a borrowed travel cot arrived at our room around 10PM.The family room we had, (room 323) comprised the following additional benefits:1) No hot water (either in the evening or morning)2) No heating in the bedroom (a small electric heater was mounted on the wall but did not work).3) A huge venting fan is positioned immediately outside the rear of the building which is extremely noisy.4) The rear of the hotel (as apposed to the front) is NOT double glazed, (which makes the previous two gripes doubly worse).5) The decor and cleanliness of the room (and hotel in general) leaves a lot to be desired.6) Since we were 'refined to quarters' with our 6 year old and 8 month old daughters, we ordered room service for our evening meal around 9pm. Despite the reasonable choice on the room service menu, we were told there was no chef and therefore only cold sanwiches were available.To cap all of this off- shortly before we checked out, my 6 year old daughter sat on the window sill in the bedroom whilst my wife and I were packing.To her (and our) horror, the single glazed window went through.It transpired after inspection that the window in question had neither any beading or putty along the bottom of the glass, which meant that with the slightest of pressure against it, the glass 'flexed' and broke (in a big way).I

The price charged for the room given was outrageous. We were stuck in a back room which overlooked nothing but a gable roof. The window was broken and had to be wedged open with a bin to allow air to come in. The room was baking hot as it had a 2\" pipe of heat running right through it. It was small, pokey and not particularly clean - I dropped something behind the bedside table and had to move it out and it was filthy and under the bed there was a child's drinking cup left by some previous occupant. The receptionist was great and had been on the end of everyones complaints. In the morning I politely said that if we could not be relocated then we would have to move hotel. She pulled out all the stops and gave us a \"suite\" at no extra charge but it would have to have a z bed in for our daughter. The \"suite\" had a superb view, was clean roomy. The Z bed had no slats in it so we put her mattress on the floor. There was no hot water in the morning to shower so had to wait til we got to our next destination in Scotland. The breakfast was disorganised chaos, with none of the staff really knowing what was their role. The food was edible although it came out of catering tins and was not fresh and the restaurant was filthy.

its friendly, its warm, the foods good,the beds clean BUT the place needs a good deep clean and some maitainance.the perfect place for the older end of the market who still like a good old fashioned dinner with starter and good puddings,pitty about the four foot beds I thought they went out with the ark but still exellent value,booked with late rooms

Had to wait for breakfast in morning for tables to be set. had breakfast delived one day and substituted without telling us items on it. Although didnt pay the £2 for it. Room was small and also for £110 for two nights expected more especially for blackpool.

Stayed in this hotel last year so a repeat visit was looked forward to. Staff very friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable. Breakfast time needed more staff to keep food supplies topped up as we had to wait. Had to wait also for tables every morning to be cleared so we could be seated.

Our arrival was easy and well planned, the room was clean although a little tired around the edges, however, the communal areas were of a very high and well presented standard. th £100 spent on the accommodation was in the first instance throught to be about right. However, breakfast was absolutely awful. The sausages were cheap and did not taste of meat at all. The bacon was fatty and under cooked, the hash browns were grease laden, there was no tea, no fresh bread or toast. Needless to say if we had been staying for more than one night I would have complained.

Hi there stayed at the hotel for 3 nights which was not value for money at all. We attempted to obtain snacks which were being advertised as a 24hr service, but was unable to get a snack as the chef was' too busy' even to prepare a burger. We were told to ask for a sea view on arrival which when we did was told they had been allocated to a coach party, so was a little dissapointed regarding this issue. All in all this is far from a 4 star hotel, and on future visits to Blackpool would certainly steer clear of this hotel, and look elsewhere.

Only complaint is young staff on the desk. We complained about the inside bathroom door handle coming off in my daughters hand and was informed that someone will have a look and fix it before we come back from a evening out. Guess what? no one did so no one could actually shut the bathroom door what joy......other guests had complained about the noise from party guests the night before and again the staff did nothing. Manager only available during the week...

The only problem we had was the heat in our room (Room 232). Large heating pipes run throughout the room and made the stay extremely uncomfortable. The window in the main bedroom was sealed with screws - we were told that this was due to fire safety and the only ventilation was the bathroom window measuring 1sqf.We did complain about this problem of which they were aware of but they cannot do anything due to the buidling being listied. The did provide us with a small fan.Not sure if the other rooms are the same, but if you stay at this hotel, avoid 232.Saying that, the hotel looks very nice and cozy and customer service was of a good standard and the dinner and breakfast was quite good also. We would stay if again if the heat problem is resolved but we guess not in the long run.
