Excellent location and value for moneyThe location is excellent and the hotel fine. The Manager was extremely helpful - I needed to arrive in the morning and so checked in well before any rooms were ready. Parking outside was easy and the hotel sells you a 24h parking permit for 50p which is excellent value. I asked for a quiet rom and the one I was given overlooking the back was ideal. Rather small, especially the en suite, but clean and adequate with nice bedding/towels. VERY good value for money.

Review Of Savoy Court Hotel, Eastbourne - 14 to 19 June 2009The hotel was very well situated - less that five minutes walk from the Eastbourne seafront. The staff were very friendly and helpful and provided exactly the level of service which I expected.

middle of the roadMy daughter and I enjoyed our one night stay at the Savoy Court Hotel Eastbourne. Breakfast at 9.am which we thought was a bit late as we needed to go on to our desdination early but we waited to 9. O'clock anyway. The bacon was a bit too over cooked but other wise the service was very good. Condition of the room was basic and clean, I love the well starched cotton sheets. Parking on the street was abit of a worry but I understand that parking was always a problem in any sea side town such as Eastbourne. Will I Stay in Eastbourne again? Yes. If I have too.

Clean, Simple English Breakfast, does the job!While we were unfortunate to get the smallest room, the regular rooms were much larger and better value for money. The rooms were clean, tidy and did the job. The breakfast in the morning was a simple english breakfast (eggs, sausages, bacon, cereal...) and was fine. Staff are very helpful and even got us a discount at a restaurant for dinner.

Savoy CourtI noticed that a deposit was collected in advance through my credit card, although I do not recall that this was a condition of booking at the time. I was required to pay the balance on arrival. The hotel was somewhat disorganised, and the proprietor himself described the situation as rather like Fawlty Towers. However, unlike Basil, he was friendly and courteous at all times. My request that he fit curtains to the window of my room was answered satisfactorily straightaway. I am not sure whether my bed had been changed since being slept in last. If it had, the sheets certainly had not been ironed. The hot water in the shower dried up about five minutes after I started my shower, and I had to complete it with cold water only. I did not attempt a shower on the second morning. The breakfast was quite good, although a mistake was made over my order on the second day. To be fair, other that asking for the curtains, I did not make any complaints at the time: I was there for only two days. The welcome was genuinely friendly and helpful, but the organisation left something to be desired.
