The location of this hotel to the MCG is excellent their customer service is also excellent but all they need to do is give the rooms a once only heavy duty clean eg under the light shades, showers and drains air con vents.

Arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning from the airport. Took hotel staff a couple of minutes to allow access through the locked front door which made me a little nervous as there were rowdy (drunk) people in the vicinity. Check-out was very easy and helpful.

Shabby, but it's name was changed while we were there so hopefully it'll have a facelift with new owners. It was clean however, so that's a good thing. We struck 1 staff member at the front desk who wasn't very helpful, however other staff were fine. After check-in a staff member came to our room with a card about the name change and 1 x chocolate - for 2 people?? No folder that listed the facilities, services, pool hours etc. We found 1 card with the phone instructions only. TV kept cutting out. I felt that for the quality of the place and it's location slightly further out of the CBD it was a bit steeply priced. In saying that, we specifically chose it for its location close to the Rod Laver Arena. There were 2 of us, but only 1 x facecloth and no bathmat. We requested the extras and received them on the day we requested but the next day it was back to 1 x facecloth and no bathmat. Not greatly enamoured of this hotel. BUT it was clean and that gains it a few points.

Definately need broadband internet in the rooms and also need to look at exhaust fans in the bathroom. Great location if going to MCG or Rod Laver etc but bit of a hassle to get into town if you have limited mobility

The hotel itself, facilities and staff were all excellent. However thje food is very basic and simple. If the hotel could provide some more innovative breakfasts even fresh juice, decent fruit salad - not just melon - and some more healthy options in the dining room, it would really make it a wonderful place to stay.

My partner and friends from New Zealand stayed at the Saville City Suites for four days. They found it a great place to stay, service was great and staff very helpful. Could not be in a better location to the MCG, and would definitely stay there again.

The service at the rest' was very slow and was disappointing for dinner(once again) but the breakfast was excellant. The rooms are clean but small but we go there for the location, being women heading in to the city for a concert, YOU CANT BEAT THE LOCATION TO VODAPHONE ETC and home again quickly.

The Hotel appeared a little run down. The pool was poorly maintained ans the spa did not function at all. Room amenities were only adequate - items were missing.

Great location for MCG which was why we were there. As the hotel is not close to a supermarket or seven eleven store ( we didn't know that until we got there ) vending machines would be handy to purchase drinks chips choc and snacks. there was no information in the room about melb. no maps info about what was nearby or the easiest way to get into the city

Very unclean, dirty bathrooms, stained carpetes and the lounge smelt like urine. When reported they didnt seem to care. I have stayed here over the years and they definately ar bad now. Perhaps they have a new owner or manager. I will not be staying again.

The hotel itself was lovely. Great looking rooms and other facilities were great but the front of house service was very concerning. We seemed to be an inconvenience to them. Parking was awful we paid $17 a day for the staff to whinge and complain everytime we wanted our car. It was a shame the service was so bad because the location, exterior and interior of the hotel was lovely. . . Very odd!

Very good location if you are going to MCG but otherwise bad as we were advised that the nearest shops to get some drinks and nibbles was a 20 min walk.
