Situated on the Roman Watling Street- the Saracen s Head is ideally placed for a day at Towcester Racecourse- generally accepted as the toughest National Hunt course in Britain. Silverstone- for racing of a different kind- is just three miles away. Also nearby is Stoke Bruerne- a canal village with cottages and colorful narrow boats.

Saracens Head TowscesterNeeded overnight accommodation travelling down to conference for work. Thought this was great value for money. Only paid £39 booking through late rooms.Staff were friendly and very accomodating. I rang to tell them there were no spaces in the car park and they told me to park in the disabled spot and even came out to make sure I found the spot ok.The room was clean and comfortable and I felt secure as there is a security code to get into the part of the building were the rooms are.Yes it was a little noisy but not enough to disturb me and I slept well here.I unfortunately didnt have time for the breakfast so cant say what that was like.Would definately stay here again.

Overnight at The Saracen's HeadThis hotel is extremely good. Our room was quite large. The ensuite bathroom was spacious and well-equipped. The (cooked) breakfast menu offers far more variety than is usual.

Weekend Overnight StayEasy to find, late arrival no problem, no noise, large room with lovely beds and bed linen, excellant value. Breakfast lots of choice on menu. Will return and stay more than one night.

Lovely hotel, friendly service, clean rooms and food great value for money. My one complaint is that I found the rooms in the roof very claustrophobic and had difficulty keeping my balance while using the bathroom due to the very uneven floors. Next time I would insist on a lower ground room.

PityThe Staff were great,very friendly an informative.Didn't eat there but lots of people were.Good selection of beers.Room very nice,bed felt new.Just a pity that the TV didn't work and,worst of all,my pet hate,a terrible shower.

Easter breakUsed Saracens Head to break up the journey from Scunthorpe to Romsey. Excellent night with superb breakfast to start off the remainder of the journey. Used Greene King's 'Old English Inns' leaflet to good use on the way back up North. Stopped at the Red Lion in Adderley near Oxford for lunch. Excellent.

Great Room with Excellent BreakfastThe hotel was excellent and the room really clean. The breakfast was cooked to order and served very promptly and efficiently by the waiter. Very good value for money. Only one minus was that I didn't find the guest lounge which I noticed in the brochure.

Overnight stayA thoroughly enjoyable brief stay. My late arrival was dealt with very well. The room was very good and quiet despite being on the road side. Excellent breakfast with alrge choice. Would highly recommend as value for money

Excellent place to stayThe only problem we had was finding a space in the car park when we first arrived, otherwise no complaints. Certainly excellent value for money at only £24.95 per room including breakfast (Sunday special offer)

stopover drop inOur room was warm and welcoming and as it was Mother's Day a thoughtful little gift was in our room .For this type of accommadation we couldn't have chosen better

Great evening at the Saracens HeadThe food is really good and well presented the waiters, bar people and reception staff are excellent nothing is too much trouble for them. I will go back again soon.

What a good choiceAn delightful place to stay, friendly staff, well decorated large comfortable room, very clean with LCD TV.Fantastic food a varied menu, wild mushroom lasagne, very nice. £7.95 good value.Breakfast was just as good. Large secure carpark.Will definatley stay here again and would have no problem in recommending it to anyone.

A mini-breakDoes what it says on the tin - an excellent room in a very acceptable hotel. The stage-coaches may have moved on, but the general ambience serves to remind one of an earlier age. A brief tour of the surrounding villages - just up the A5 and to the east - is highly recommended. A mini-Cotseolds without the tourists.
