Date of Stay: March, 2009

We stayed in a 2 room suite and every inch of it was fabulous. There were 3 balconies, a large kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The staff was attentive and really treats you well. The rooms are VERY clean and modern, as well as the grounds. I went down to the Keys with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and this resort was the icing on the cake! It is only a block from Duval St., but is located on the upper end so it is quiet and peaceful if that is what you want. However, it is only a quick walk to all the shops, bars and excitement of Key West. We hated to leave and would definately go back!

the resort was beautiful and impeccably clean. All staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Our 2 boys enjoyed the pool and were thrilled with the large screen TV's in our accomodations, which were fantastic. All possible needs were addressred from laundry to cooking and we felt at home during our entire stay. The neighborhood was wonderful with many points of interest within easy walking distance even for our 7 year old boy. We would recommend the resort and consider returning in the future...

I cannot think of one negative thing to say about our stay at Santa Maria Suites. From the friendly and helpful front desk staff, to the pristine pool area and grouds, to the beautifully appointed and evidently newly renovated suite, we were hugely impressed. We did not get to check out the resort's Ambrosia Restaurant, but we did enjoy the beach and bar provided at nearby Casa Marina Resort, whose amenities are available to Santa Maria guests. Santa Maria is also very conveniently located to Duval Street and a short walk to Mallory Square and all the surrounding attractions. We would definitely stay at the Santa Maria Suites on our next trip to Key West.

I'm a Washington D.C. resident and chose Santa Maria Suites as my Martin Luther Wknd/Inaugurartion getaway (I love Obama but I'm not one for the masses). I went with my girlfriend and my best friend and his girlfriend. All four of us had an amazing time and Santa Maria Suites exceeded out expectations. It is a small hotel/resort but extremely peaceful and the rooms are spacious and well-equipped with awesome HD TV's in the living room and bedroom as well. The kitchen was fantastic and the housekeeping staff does an excellent jump cleaning and making the room look brand new every morning. The sushi restaurant in the hotel had some great fish and drinks. Perhaps most importantly, its location is ideal as it is not too close and not too far from all of Key West's action. I highly reccommend this resort for any and all weekend or vacation getaways. Two thumbs up!

We stayed several weeks ago on a weekend getaway. Great decor, a wonderful location, nice private pool, and very comfortable beds were just some of the amenities we enjoyed. The sushi restaurant attached to the resort is also quite nice, and a good dinner option. While the weather was horrible, the people and resort made our stay extremely comfortable and very enjoyable. There are even muffin deliveries in the morning---the BEST muffins I have ever had!! I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Key West (hopefully soon!). The place is fabulous.

I am writing this review a day before I check out so I don't forget to tell you how GREAT this hotel is. My husband and I went here for my 30th birthday. The pictures are exactly what you get. The place is amazing! The concierge has been nothing but helpful. There is a dishwasher, washer/dryer a full kitchen. We saved a little money by going to the store that is across the street and made our own breakfast. It is 2 blocks from Duval street and 3 blocks from the "southern most point." You feel like you are in a secluded little hotel because they all face the pool and it is very private. A celebrity was staying here at the same time, if that indicates how much they value your privacy. They gave great recommondations for our fishing charter and even called a restaurant and made reservations for somewhere that would cook the fish I had caught on the fishing trip. I could go on and on but we have stayed in many places like Hawaii, Ft. Lauderdale, North Carolina and this is by far the best place we have ever stayed. The little things they do like turndown services with chocolates on your pillow to the fresh muffins and paper delvered everyday to the free frozen drinks poolside with someone playing the calypso drum, made this trip so memorable. I would HIGHLY advise to use the Casa Marina resort (sister hotel)privelages as well they have hammaocks on palm trees, amazing pool and views along with bag games and poolside drinks. I am looking forward to coming back again. The only thing they could improve a little is housekeeping comes at odd hours and once they forgot towels.

this resort was outstanding!..from the intimate check-in process, the units, the pool with complimentary beverages, fruit, towels....the amenaties were unlimited.....the on site sushi restaurant had the freshest products and amazing presentations.....we were able to call the front desk to order bicycles....they were delivered in 20 minutes and they picked them up at the end of the week....the staff can't do enough for you.

We had 2 separate suites - we just loved it! We've been to many of the hotels in Key West, as we vacation there every year, but we loved Santa Maria! We would go again, and again!

We just returned from a week in the Keys which included 4 nights at the Santa Maria - which was incredible. Extremely beautiful setting, friendly staff and luxurious accomodations greeted us upon our arrival. As for our stay...it is quite a walk from most of Key West's action (though close to the Southern Most Point) so be prepared with good walking shoes or plan on taking cabs. On the positive it is in a quieter residential area of Key West with a great parking lot and free parking which is very hard to find on Key West. The washer and dryer in the suite were a huge help (they even provided laundry soap) as was the kitchen complete most utensils and other cooking items. We loved the turndown service, muffins and dove bars but smoothies by the pool weren't available during our stay (which was off-season). As for the staff, they were among the best we ever encountered. Though we didn't use it, the facilities at Casa Marina are open to anyone who stays at Santa Maria. We did love the pool and it was very well maintained. In general, we can't stop talking about it as it truly was one of the best places we have ever stayed.

This place was awesome!!! My 15 year old daugher and 12 year son couldn't say enough good about it. The rooms were incredibly decorated with the top of the line ,,, everything. It has 3 big HD LCD's with a DVD player, so of you can't find enough to do, you can always watch tv or a dvd. Our condo had 2 bedrooms both with a king size bed, there is also a pull out couch if needed. They have top of the line appliances, if you are so inclined to cook, or if you are like us, and just like the fact that ther is a refrigerator to keep your drinks cold, you won't be disappointed. The location is good also, because it is located one block from Duval Street on the quiet end. The pool area is very nice, but if you prefer the beach they have privilges at the Casa Marina. The Casa Marina also has a very nice pool area and workout room, if wanted. The staff at the Santa Maria Suites are awesome and will go out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful stay.

The rooms were fabulous and the staff was OUT OF THIS WORLD! They really go out of their way to be accomodating and helpful; this is customer service at it's best. I couldn't believe all the smoothies, fruits, water and treats that were given away by the pool each day. We were all completely 100% satisfied with everything and would certainly stay there on our next trip to Key West.

The staff was very professional and helpful--they met every need. The facility had every desired amenity from pool (2 pools) to in-room services (provided muffins for breakfast, morning paper, and a large flat panel TV in each bedroom and the living room). The full kitchen was very helpful and was stocked with all pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glasses. The facility appeared to be newly remodeled and had very attractive furniture. The location is great with the beach only 100 feet or so and Duval street one block away. Many resturants were within walking distance. I would highly, highly recommend the Santa Maria to anyone and would definitely stay there on my next visit.

Santa Maria is a fabulous resort. Completely re done within the last year, it's a slick, contemporary hotel with amazingly attentive staff. The rooms are beautiful and the four foot deep pool was perfect for my tweener-aged kids. Nicely located on towards the quiet end of Duval Street it's close enough to walk to everything but not noisy at night. Kids loved the three HD TVs and the funky bar stool seating at the breakfast bar. It's pricey but well-worth it.

Our beautiful suite had more than enough room. We had privacy and quiet, and yet we were just feet from the pool and Duvall Street. The staff was extremely helpful and responsive - they searched diligently for my lost iPod and found it! The in-house restaurant is excellent. There are numerous attractions within walking distance, including the beach and restaurants. If and when I return to Key West, I will most definitely return to Santa Maria.

The Santa Maria is the perfect place to stay... the rooms are brand new and beautiful and the pool and grounds are very well kept. Our vacation was jam packed with things to do in Key West during our weekend visit and our only regret was that we didn't have more "down time" to hang out at the hotel and by the pool. I will only stay here on future trips to key west!

The Santa Mara is a beautiful hotel! Recently renovated with a state-of-the-art kitchen (granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances) and a master bathroom the is spacious and nicely detailed! The manger and his staff were always so gracious and helpful. You could hear then around the property always saying hello to the guests and making sure everyone was happy and satisfied, offering assistance if needed. They can offer restaurant recommendations and make dinner reservations for you accordingly. Need a cab? They will arrange one for you. If you want to know what's fun to do in Key West ... they have that covered too! The pools and pool decks were always kept very clean. It's a small, intimate hotel so there was always room at the pool. It's style and luxury is impressive. There is no doubt that my next travel itinerary to Key West will include a reservation at the Santa Maria Suites!!

Key West is a fun, interesting, and energetic place to visit. So much to do and see on this beautiful island and having great accommodations makes the trip all the more better. The accommodations were beautiful. I loved the decor in both bedrooms and the wonderful 2 person shower and vanity. I enjoyed the state of art kitchen and the 3 flatscreens, well, what can I say! The heated pool was within 10 feet of my front door and the atmosphere was serene, quiet. Most times I felt we were the only guest. We stayed 3 days and I think I only saw 2 other guests. The landscaping was tropical, of course, but actually more tropical than anywhere else on the island.

i have stayed at the property on several different occasions and i have never been dissapointed. my family loves using the three flat screen tv' and the fully appointed kitchens that have every conceivable cooking utensil made; our meals feel like we were home(not to mention the expexnse savings of having to dine out for all our meals. in my opinion, getting a two bedroom/two bath brand condominium in a resort setting is too tough to turn down, especially with the quality and service we received at the santa maria. the hotel is ocean block and who cares because of the pool and other key west attractions you spend time at during the day. at night you are short walk to the "pomp and circumstance" on the island. it's nice to be able to walk to and than walk away from that. don't get me wrong it's fun but also nice to retreat to your our private resort.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Santa Maria Resort in Key West, Florida. While it is located in the southern-most city in the USA, it is tops in our list our vacation spots! The resort was fabulous, the accommodations were wonderful and the staff was warm and friendly, and went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we neeed. We truly enjoyed our stay at the resort- and look forward to returning soon!
