Location of this hotel compared to price is just perfect. Although this central quietness is at its best. Breakfast and bathroom not much to brag about.

This hotel was exactly what we needed...nothing fancy, a simple room with comfortable beds, a good shower, good location and a good price. We spent a full day seeing Florence, came back to the room to clean up and then headed out for a beautiful evening. It is an easy walk to the Uffizi and the center of the city.

This hotel has a good location, and it is close to central Florence. We paid 160 Euro pr night, because all other hotel in the area was fully booked for our days in Florence. The breakfast was terrible (none of the other guest ate anything of it), our room smelt bad, they don't have a luggage-room which is promised in the webpage, and the socalled bar is simply just the breakfast-room, which is not cosy at all. The bathroom simply wasn't clean, and if you dont stay more than three nights, you have to pay 10 Euro extra pr. day to have fresh towels. It also felt like the walls were paper-thin. We feel that we paid about 100 euros to much for this, and would have been satisfied with the hotel if the price had been significantly lower, just because of the good location. Will not go to that hotel ever again.

The description of how to get to the property is lacking in the final details. The decription gets you near, but then you have a dozen choices, and only one correct. This not difficult to find the SECOND time. Rooms are small but big enough to sleep in, which is all that counts.

The staff is not fluent in English but they are very willing to help. The shower in our room was very small and overflowed easily. The toliet also didn't flush well and we had trouble communicating that in Italian to the staff. Overall, it was a nice hotel and a good location. The free breakfast was fine (croissant, toast, juice, coffee or cereal) but definitely not an American breakfast.

Ottima collocazione per avere il cuore di Firenze a portata di mano, personale genitlissimo e disponibile, camere piccole ma comunque comode, lo consiglio...

The best thing about Santa Croce is its location. Our room, specially the bathroom, were so small it became a little uncomfortable.

We were given a room on the 5th floor-walkup! No one offered to help carry our luggage up. The last flight of stairs were a killer! The street the hotel is on is very hard to find because the street name is temporarily written on a caution sign and there's no permanent sign on the building corner.

I was travelling with my daughter and enjoyed very much the stay with a nice receptionist. The hotel services are quite basic but the location itself is absolutely fantastic (close to everything)!

This was our first time in Firenze, and the central location, price and service at the hotel was excellent. Comfortable beds, clean, very friendly staff and nice athmosphere. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Quiet street, close to absolutely everything.

A real shame, the location was perfect but the hotel was poorly decorated and grubby. Junk and rubbish was left outside our window, there was also loose cabling everywhere. With a bit of TLC this could be a good hotel but for the price represented poor value for money.

Helpful staff in ordering tickets for the train. The hotel is perfect situated for cultural walks. Italian atmosphere with accordeon music from the backyard. Poor breakfast and poor space for the shower.I would gladly recommend this rather simple hotel to my friends.

Very good central location in narrow uninspiring back street. Very helpful staff. Our room was changed mid-stay; in the first room, it was unbelievable value for money, the second was very cramped with an eccentric shower. We would still return for the location and staff. Both rooms had safes and aircon!

This place need to be aired out it smelled very musky. I only stayed one night and that was enough. The breakfest was nothing to write home about all in all I would rather spend a little more and stay some where nicer.

The hotel was extremely standard. The staff and everything was ok except we felt like we were bothering them one morning when we went to get our breakfast. The big problem we had was the stale smell of our clothes. The smell got all over our clothes. The location of it was wonderful though. I would recommend it because it was good for the price.

We stayed in the quad room with 2 parents and two teenagers and all were comfortable. Very pleasant staff and helpful too, with city map and location of local interests. Location is great--only a few short blocks to the river and close to all the important sites. AC worked great and hardly any street noise due to the small quiet street. Only 5 minutes from train station by taxi. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat!!!

I was very dissapointed. Nothing worked in the room, and some spider bit my husband and I during the night and we both woke up with bites all over our face and arms.
