This hotel has very good and spatious rooms most of them with a balcony overlooking the sea. The location of this hotel is awesome for nature lovers. Inland there is only mangrove jungle with lots of wildlife. Make sure to take the 5-minute walk through the woods via a wooden sidewalk which is in the front of the hotel. The aminities are good as well. There is a small harbor adjacent to the hotel. There is not really a beach on walking distance but within 10 minutes you can drive to Sanibel island which has big beaches. Make sure to bring your parasol because there are no shady palm trees on these beaches. You need to pay toll (6 USD) and parking costs on Sanibel island. An outlet shopping mall is nearby. We were not happy with the additional compulsory "resort fee" which included a lot of things that we couldn't use as a family with 2 young children. Eelco - the Netherlands

We stayed at the location not at the main hotel and it was very mediocre. We came in after 8pm and there was no one to direct us or to help us with our luggage. We had to self park and search around until we found someone to show us where to go and how to check in. If you are going to stay here, be sure to be in the main hotel.....that was a better place to spend your time.

Over priced, hotel advertised as a resort but had to travel 1/4 mile to spa. Continental breakfast was cold items and they ran out of items 2 of the 3 mornings. Also there was no access to a beach area. Carpet in the room was dirty with stains and furnished with old furniture including a small TV.

I planned this trip two weeks prior just for a weekend of relaxation. Our room faced the water and overlooked the pool area and ocean...beautiful. The spa was great, the food was very good - loved the cabana bar. We had a car and were very comvenient to Naples, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel Island and Captiva. We were able to visit all of these places and not feel rushed during our 3 night stay. Airport is close. This hotel is truly a resort and has a casual elegance that my friend and I loved. We will be bringing our families here next. One tip. Bring your laptop if you have any work to do. Business Center staff is not equipped to fix simple problems. Charges are outrageous for computer and internet useage. I had spent an hour on a project only to find out that the computer wouldn't save it on my memory stick! The manager let me use his office however to redo my document. That was nice.

the hotel service was excellent, however the service at the pelican and tarpon restaurants were terrible.i had to wait for 10-15 minutes before i was approached while others were being taken care right away, when the waitress finally came to the table i was not greeted never any one bother to come back to check and make every thing was okay.at the pelican the waitress took so long to return to my table that i had to find someone to pay the check.same service at the tarpon however not as bad.
