it was a great stay, too bad it was so short. this is a great place to stay over for a week. just you and the nature around you. stop and shop, cvs and other stores are right across the street. be advised: bring bug/mosquitoes spray. i recommend this place, they have an indoor pool too!

Our room was priced right and convenient to all activities.

The staff was wonderful but the rooms need desperate updating and it smelled like dirty socks. I was afraid to turn off the light that maybe bugs would crawl on me. If I wasn't so tired, I would have given up my reservation and gone somewhere else but then, I didn't even sleep. I didn't even touch anything because of the filth. I wouldn't even take off my shoes infear that I may catch something. I didn't dare shower because of the black mold in my shower. Really nasty. I don't know where the rest of you stayed that wrote the other reviews but this was not a "diamond in the rough" by any means! Sad because as I said, the staff was extremely curtious but the place needs a total remodel. I should have slept in my car, it would have been more comfortable and I could have turned off the lights. Also, the TV didn't work and the remote was broken. Poor excuse for a "refrig/ microwave oven" area.

We discovered the Sandwich Lodge by accident-and so glad we did. Rooms were clean, staff more than helpful, pool area delightful! Could not have asked for anything better traveling thru this quaint town. I will not hesitate to stay again

As a business traveler who spends 6 nights per week in a hotel room, I found the Sandwich Lodge & Resort to be more than I expected. The room was indeed very roomy. I had the desk space to set up my computer, printer, palm pilot and paperwork. The room also had a fridge and microwave which was nice as this particular trip was an extended stay and that allowed me to stock my own munchies. Even I were to visit out to the cape (Cape Cod) for pleasure, I would stay here again. Great value for the price...Oh and the breakfast was great as well

Kitchenette in the room. Room was spacious. Staff at check-in was great. Moderate amount of mold on shower curtain. Indoor pool very cold. It was spacious and included a kitchenette. The night clerk was efficient, pleasant and very helpful - offering recommendations on restaurants and looking up and printing directions for our destination.

The staff in this motel is commendable. I requested to be moved to a non-smoking room and it was changed right away. There is a shopping area across the street, a restaurant with entertainment beside the hotel, and close to historical areas to explore. The room is decent and clean. An inside pool is available and good continental breakfast. I recommend this who wants an inexpensive place to stay in the Cape Cod area.

This lodge was the best highlight of our visit to Cape Cod!Not only the staff are charming but the whole place is so relaxing and refreshing. We will be back for Thanksgiving and future holidays. The place is not only clean but wonderfully clean. The room we stayed in was very nice and spacious. Sandwich Lodge, Thank You for a wonderful stay and we will be back!

A very reasonable and comfortable place to stay. Handy for those who like to fish, take in beaches or poke around the various shops. Many fine eateries nearby some in walking distance. If with a group there are areas to meet and barbecue.

Walking distance to good restaurant, helpful staff, comfortable bed. Broken sink piece, looking a little old. This hotel met my needs. Nothing fancy but, it served its purpose.

Our trip was great fun. The hotel was very good. The front desk was very friendly- My husband and I actually got lost and we had to call the hotel for directions- which we got and were very accurate. Check in was fast and easy. The room was big enough for my family of five. The beds were not the greatest as far as comfort, but I have actually slept on worse in hotels with a higher ratings. The best part of our room was that is had a sliding door which led directly into the indoor pool area. My kids were very happy about that. The indoor pool was wonderful. My kids used it every night after we arrived back at the hotel. The only complaint would be that there should be more towels in the pool area for those of us who swim at night. The outdoor pool is very nice as well although we didn't use it. All in all the hotel itself could use a bit of an update- but we enjoyed ourselves and I would reccomend it as a nice place to stay.

My family enjoyed our stay. We stayed a good size (suite-like) room with a refrigerator and a microwave. They served continental breakfast. There is a double door walkout access to the parking area. This is a decent place to stay in the Cape Cod area for those of us with moderate budget.

Needs updating. but nice staff and good value for what we paid

The continental breakfast was good. The location was great for that area. Rickety windows during wind storm. No housekeeper ever came to room. The hotel was very quaint. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was okay, but the storm windows were open making a horrendous noise during a rain/wind storm over the entire two nights. Adjoining walls are not very soundproof either. There wasn't any housekeeping to speak of although towels were available at the front desk.

We've stayed in Sandwich before and knew that we wanted that to be our primary location for our trip to Cape Cod, so we picked this hotel based on price and location. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, and the location was great for us (a short walk into town and a short drive to the canal and beaches). Not luxury accommodations, but a nice place to come back to after a day of sight seeing! We would definitely stay there again.

The room smelt really bad and the bed was very uncomfortable (could feel the springs through the mattress).

It was near the Sagamore bridge. Poorly behaved parents not supervising their children running/screaming down the hall banging into our wall past 10 pm. No hot water. A bit of a nightmare. Too many children without supervision running and screaming in halls banging into our wall well past 10 pm. Previous guests thought a funny joke was to set alarm clock to go off at midnight on loudest setting, that was sure funny. No hot water in shower and no reaction from hotel staff after 3 showers and 3 complaints. The continental breakfast was pre packaged muffins and danish, white bread for toast and cold cereal. No fruit not even a simple English muffin. No decaf tea, no selection of teas just plain Lipton's.

Horrible. The lobby seriously smelled, the rooms were covered in cobwebs and spiders. Shower = sandblaster. refridgerator smelled.

I am happy with the motel. The room was well attended to and the location has nice easy access local attractions.
