Minutes from downtown Victoria near the Inner Harbour is one Victoria hotel, the Sandman Hotel Victoria. The hotel offers guests easy access to the many attractions of Victoria as well as to Victoria’s business district.
Getting to and from the Sandman Hotel Victoria is easy with public transportation, as the bus stops just outside the hotel about every ten minutes.
Over half of the rooms in the Sandman Hotel Victoria are studios, which include small kitchens with microwaves, stovetops, sinks, utensils and dishes, and small refrigerators. The hotel’s standard rooms include two double beds, and some of these rooms also include a separate living area. All the rooms include amenities like color televisions with free movies, coffee-making equipment, and hairdryers. Some of the rooms are non-smoking, and many of them have views of the Olympic Mountains or the Centennial United Church Cathedral.

We were traveling with our 26 yr old daughter and booked a suite. We "assumed" that there would be a door between front room and rear room. NOT! If she was watching a different show on TV the sounds were competing. Also motel is not as close to down town as you would believe. Not in my walking distance anyway.

Nice bed, good internet, comfy room. Dirty towel in bathroom, shampoo bottle was used. Nice place, needs to work on housekeeping.

The Sandman Hotel in Victoria was clean and easy to find. When we arrived it was late at night and the front desk person was not at his post when we arrived. We had to wait 15 minutes before he returned. There was no indication of where he/she was and when to expect him to return. Upon his return, he was very friendly to myself and daughter and was most efficient in our check-in process. We were upgraded and hotel check out was just as efficient. The only real draw back was upon our arrival, the parking lot was full with nightclub patrons and finding parking was not easy.

Our stay at the Victoria Sandman hotel was the last stop on our get away. The Sandman was a bit of a disappointment. Not to say there was anything wrong with it, but since it was the most expensive we expected more. If you are looking for a clean hotel near downtown with free secure parking this is your place.

I expect a little more for a hotel at this price. I would not stay at this hotel even for free. Service is poor. Staff unfriendly. Cleanliness not up to bar at all. The hotel was very dirty and the smell is extremely unpleasant. Not at all a place to stay.

We stayed at this hotel during our kids spring breaks for family vacation. This was one of the worst hotel we have stayed in. Our family have taken annual vacation and stayed in many hotel. I would consider this less than one star.

"I stay at this hotel 2-3 nights per month on business. The staff are always accomodating, and go the extra mile for me whenever they can. I have all the ammenities I need within the hotel - once I'm done work for the day, I only have one stop (Sandman) to exercise, eat, check email, and relax."

"we stayed there on June 8,9,10, 2006 requested a blanket would not accomodate, around the toilet in bathroom dirty, jet tub not all jets in tub showing rustdid not take dirty glasses or anything like that away and no clean glasses or cupson the whole for the price the service was awful and hotel staff not at all accomodating and was not up to standard cleanliness"
