The hotel is very close to the Metro station and provides free parking. The staff was friendly and informative. The room was basic, but very clean. A good breakfast was available at the hotel for a reasonable cost. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would stay at the Sandman Hotel again!!

This is a very nice, clean hotel in a great location. The metro is 30 feet from the front enterance, so if you don't want to deal with finding a parking space you can easily get around. The staff was very helpful and the room was large (we got one of the double queen rooms). The room also had a nice veiw of the city. Although this hotel isn't right in the center of the city, it is still close enough (5 min drive or 10 min metro ride). Parking is free, which is a nice perk too. The only thing is the breakfast buffet left something to be desired. Expensive and not appetizing. Regardless, nice hotel and I would definitely stay again.

Friendly staff, lovely lobby, restaurant, and hotel room. Hard to reach once we figured out where it was and how to drive there was difficult. Not in an easy location to reach. Staff was friendly room was very nice and clean. Restaurant staff friendly spoke English which was wonderful since we don't speak French.

The location to the subway was excellent and with free parking it is a good location, The breakfast was ok, The dinner wasn't that great, however with the subway next door go explore Montreal and find a decent dinner. The location was excellent you get a good view of La Ronde and the biosphere. The price was good espically since parking is included. I would stay again as it is so close to downtown. My kids liked the pool, it did have a small area for toddlers so they could play in the water without holding them the whole time or worring about them getting to the deeper end.

I wouldn't say I was really impressed but i wouldn't say I was dissatisfied with this hotel. It is however in a great location right next to the Longueuil metro station so getting into the city is extrememly easy. Parking is also free for people staying in the hotel and you end up paying for parking at a lot of the hotels that are in downtown Montreal.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The finishes are tired and need to be upgraded. Decent hotel in a reasonable location. It is downtown and not near the freeway or the river so it is convenient only if you have business downtown.

Other than the fact the the Metro station is directly across the street there would be no compelling reason to stay here. I stayed here as it was close to where I had business and the fact the the F1 Grand Prix was this weekend and made rooms very scarce and expensive. The room was overdue for a makeover and new mattress. This was a former Radisson hotel and reminded me of an old Hoiliday Inn. The hotel is next to the freeway so there is some noise. It wasn't bad for me as my room did not face the freeway. The room could use some more soundproofing. There are very limited dining options close by. The breakfest is OK. If you have to stay at the hotel for dinner then piizza is the best option. My advice, for 2.75, take the metro to the McGill Station, where there are plenty of dining options at the mall or in town. If your'e a runner you need to go about 2 km to get over the bridge to run by the river. The gym didn't open until 6:30am which made it useless for me. Having the metro station nearby was great as it beats driving in Montreal. Also the Metro station has small grocery store and a few food options. Overall I would look for another hotel next time but it wouldn't kill me to stay here again.

Our stay at this hotel was great. We arrived early, around 11 AM and our our room was actually ready. The staff was very nice and helpful. It was so easy to get in and out of the city because the metro station was in the parking lot. Also there was free parking for guests, and I exchanged money in the lobby for almost no fee. Definitely get the museum/transit pass, or at least a 1-3 day transit pass if you are staying here to go in and out of the city frequently (They don't sell it in the hotel so try to get it before hand, or you have to pay for transit into the city to buy it at one of the museums).

Proximately to downtown Montreal by car and subway. Room was clean and service at the front desk was very good considering all the people checking in.

The location of the Hotel is good because you have the metro located maybe 4 ft from it, so you don't have to drive you car leave it in the parking lot that the hotel have. if you are on the upper floors you have a beautifull view. very is to get around you are almost in the center of every thing. the only problem is getting to the hotel for the first time is little tricky- because they don't have i sign point you to the hotel so can go around a couple of time trying to find the entrance and if you lucky enough you will see it right off the high-way. other than that the hotel is very nice good place to enjoy a low key vacation with families or nice little romance get-away. i defenitely recommand it

Thi hotel is at a great location. Right next to metro station and parking is free. This easily save you 20 to 40 bucks a day. Hotel staff are friendly. We got verything a business of vacation stay needs. The pool is a little too shallow.

Proximity to Metro. I think we were double charged for the room. Large hotel (17 floors); clean and well appointed; friendly. courteous, intelligent staff.

Although my husband and I were disappointed with the location of the hotel in relation to the Palais des Congres where my conference was, the metro was right next door and it was an easy ride there. It's a little misleading to name the hotel Sandman Montreal Longueuil whern it's definitely in Longueuil. Make sure you factor in the expensive Metro rides if you will be staying here. Overall, this was a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly and was not rude when I didn't speak French. The business center was nicely appointed and I was able to print out my conference presentation. Maid service was prompt and well done. The best part however was dinner at the restaurant. When we arrived at Saturday evening, we went into Montreal to register for the conference and to look for something to eat, only to find at 7 PM in the evening, nothing was open. We returned to the hotel and were wary about getting dinner there with how bad hotel food could be. However, I had a wonderful glazed duck leg, with soup and dessert and one of the best cups of coffee I have had in a long time. The breakfast was a completely different story...I would avoid it if you can. We will be returning to Montreal next summer with our family and will definitely consider staying here if the price is still good.

The rooms and the pool. The location was out of the city. Great hotel but poor location for what I was looking to do.

Nice hotel. Very clean. The pool was clean and private. We had it all to ourselves. No more clorine used than in any other public pool. Fitness equipment was new and gym quality. Metro was easy to use. Just 2 stops to be in the city. Free parking was great and secure. Have recommended this hotel to friends. Room was fairly small with no table or refrig. but was fine for a family of four. We used the desk for a table. We had a nice view of the city. The restaurant was fairly expensive: $9.75 for a hamburger and $22.00 for a dinner meal. We did not eat there. We had most of our meals in the city. There is a McDonald's in the Metro station next door if you're desperate.

Had a great time in Montreal at the Sandsea. They were undergoing renovations on the outside of the hotel, but they kept the noise to reasonable hours of the day, and it wasn't bothersome at all. Excellent front desk helped us with all of our plans. Parking was great, and they were right next the metro for easy access to the city.

Great location near the subway station. Room was not as clean as expected and the pool heater was not working. Great location. Nice view. Room could have been cleaner. Pool heater was not working.

Very close to Metro train station, free parking, very courteous & friendly staff. Value for money. Will stay here again.

Although we had some difficulties with the French language and having no clue of how some of the street names were pronounced or spelled, the staff at the hotel was very good at either spelling the names or making sure we could pronounce them. Another great thing about this hotel is the close proximity to the Metro, which is the only way I would recommend for visitors to get arount Montreal. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend the Sandman for U.S. visitors.
