After finally arriving at the hotel quite late at night( a different story, thanks Continental) we were welcomed by staff and served champagne. While there, there were a bunch of free things included which we did such as kyaking and snorkeling. The food overall was ok; edible but by far not fantastic. Cleanliness of the resort was nice but the rooms were average to below average. Don't get me wrong, we had a great time and would definetly go back. But if you are expecting fine dining at an all inclusive, this is not your place. However, if you're looking for a nice all-inclusive place, without any kids which was a plus for my wife and I, you should stay here.

Stayed at the Sandals Resort in Nassau, Bahamas. Great resort... excellent service and very relaxing. All inclusive price was reasonable and very convenient. If you want to get away and relax... this is a great place to go.

Everyone at Sandals was fantastic. They were always willing to lend a hand and always said Hello with a smile. The food was amazing, I was trying things I never thought I would. The entertainment was wonderful and we never had to try and find something to do. There was so much to do we couldn't fit it all in. We had such an amazing time. We can't wait to go back again and would tell everyone to stay as long as they can!

Overall we did enjoy this trip. The rooms weren't as clean as we expected them to be. For the price we paid per night, we expected a lot more. The resort is very old and needs many improvements or the price lowered to stay there. The staff however was very friendly and the food was very good. My husband and I however would not stay in this resort again.

Wife and I just visited Sandals for first time. To sum up, some reviews below are still accurate HOWEVER there is now a noticeable attempt by staff to be cheerful and helpful during our entire visit. Also they're cleaning public areas all the time. From prior reviews, it seems mgmt has thrown the "be awesome or be replaced" gauntlet down there. For the price, this experience was one of the nicest we've had in a long time. THE GREAT 1. Into our rooms right at 3p 2. All pools and saunas were clean, swim up bars nice, bartenders were beyond friendly & jovial. Other guests clearly knew these guys from prior visits, so turnover seems low. 3. The Island sets this place apart. Short Ferry from pier, pool out there was great. 4. Beach activities fun and well organized (volleyball, horseshoes, etc). We met other couples, some of whom we recognized and socialized with again later in the evening. 5. Nice daily newsletter listing weather forecast and activities, ie waterside trivia, beach sports, comedy shows, live bands and theme nights, etc. Also included phone extensions for restauants and hotel staff. Made it easy to plan our day. 6. Breakfast restaurants and buffets offered nice selection and seating. 7. At night there were romantic loungers with personal fire pits on beach. Some folks brought down wine & champagne from rooms, others just ordered from bartender. You could actually fall sleep on the comfy loungers all night and I think some folks did. SUMMATION- You're spending 3-4k on Bahamas, not 50k on French Riviera. If you have the flexibility to know a few things will not be perfect (out of 100's of small things you're using and counting on each day), you won't be disappointed. Great value and experience for the $$.

Room had some issues. Glasses on bar was stuck with old spilt drink. Two days had to call for towels. Cold shower at night three times out of four nights. The elevator was broke and there was only one working. Bad if you are on the fourth floor. Small selection of beer and wine unless you buy the wine. They close down beach towels early. Bartenders didnot how to mix easy drinks. Food was GREAT as was most servers. Some things were extra unless you pay for butler service. They don't tell that in plain English until you get there. I will probably stay at Sandals again, but it won't be here.

We stayed at Sandals Royal Bahamian for our honeymoon, and it was perfect. First and foremost, the location, facilities, and activities at the resort are excellent. On top of that, the friendly service did not disappoint, and we found ourselves making friends with several members of the staff. We had no complaints, and would return again.

On this website i read that the newer building at this resort was ine windsor building. I paid for the upgrade but when we got there they put us in the Manor building which was older and not too clean. They have 7 or 8 restaraunts and 3 or 4 of them are higher level dining. One over on an island off the coast. Book the dinner reservation immediately upon arrival. This website doesn't give you the option to book them beofre you leave. If you buy this trip from an agent they can book you before you travel. We went for 4 days and by the time we got there there weren't any reservations for the fine dining. So we had to eat at the buffet and pub. Not wonderful dining in my opinion. It was my birthday and we still couldn't get a table.

we went as a girlfriend excersion and it is a couples resort and there is no denying that happening all through the resort...with the day-time weddings occuring right next to the restaurant while you are lunching sea side on delicious fish, burgers to the nuzzling happening all around and in the pool, but since we went to Sandals for the pampering, water activities, food and wonderful scenery, I can definitely say that we got more than we expected and would recommend Sandals to any one that would like to stay at a premium resort with awesome water activities and not too concerned about the nighttime/bar scene since there are plenty of bermuda hotels that can accomodate that around Sandals and since we split our vacation between Sandals and the Wyndham down the street, we had a great time at both places. A last note is that the staff is probably the best I have ever had the pleasure to experience and they may be a big part of the reason I will return - and as soon as I can!!

Not for people who are not looking for a destination wedding. They promote the "weddingmoon" to no end and there are constant weddings going on around the property. We stayed in the Royal Village which was supposed to high-end but was in need of severe maintenance. Our shower was worse than a college dorm - scalding to the point of burning flesh to ARTIC cold in seconds, 5 to 6 times in a 10 min shower. Housekeeping had problems bringing towels and the daily activities list (which is critical so you which resturants are actually open). Most restaurants are closed throughout the week for special events (aka someone's rehearsal dinner). Restaurant service was not great, waited almost 2 hrs for food one night! Some food was just gross, to the point that we sent it back and went with the simplest item so they couldn't screw it up. The weather was pretty crappy while we were there so the watersports weren't offered part of the week. The pool was frigid, not what I expected in Oct in the Caribbean. There is an excursion desk which has a lot of options - they only take cash, however, and no ATM on site (have to go to casino offsite for cash). One plus was the drinks were very strong, not like I had heard usually occurs at all-inclusives. Overall, not worth the money and found ourselves feeling guilty for wanting to the leave the resort but we were flat-out bored there. We will never go to a Sandals Resort again and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Overall it was the best vacation ever. Staff went out of their way to help in anyway. Pools were sparkling clean every day. Beach towels were rolled up at the end of lounge chairs each day. The swim up bars at every pool, including the offshore island were stocked with every item you desired for a great drink. Food at the restaurants were presented wonderfully. All inclusive was the way to go. No money exchange, or tips were allowed. Gambling outside the resort was easy to get to. Public bus stopped outside the resort for only a 1.00 per person each way, to what ever your destination was. Casino, straw market, etc... As for the age group at Sandals, we celebrated our 50th birthday there. Young, old, and in between were enjoying the resort. Can't say enough about it. We took lots of pictures, and are looking forward to our trip back in 09

Resort is nice, but needs some serious updating. Staff did not go out of their way to assist you. Everyone was friendly, but not overly anxious to serve.

This is an adult, couples-only, all-inclusive resort, and the guests were almost exclusively couples on their honeymoon or celebrating an anniversary. Sandals has a sister chain of resorts, Beaches, for those couples once they start families. A great bonus to booking with Sandals is a free transfer to the airport, and the resort has plenty of shuttles, so there is little or no wait to leave the airport. Upon arrival at the resort, we were greeted with champagne, a little gift bag of shampoo and lotion, and a schedule of available activities for the week. Tips are included, and the staff is not allowed to accept them, so you can just put your wallet in the safe and forget about it all week. We stayed in a Royal Village Luxury room with a garden view. It was not one of the more expensive rooms, but it was nice to walk out into lush gardens, and we were only a minute's walk away from the breakfast buffet. The food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the duck at the Baccarat and the entertainment at Kimonos. Dinner is formal at most of the restaurants, with the women usually wearing dresses and the men wearing business casual (a little dressier than the khakis and polo shirt you can get away with at other resorts). At least one restaurant is open at all times, with Cricketers Pub being the late night option.

This was our honeymoon and we heard so much about Sandals and the honeymoon experience. We paid extra for a beach room and were very disappointed from day one. We had to wait 45 minutes to an hour (along with a bunch of other people) to check-in after the designated time. The room was small, a round the corner to the beach, the line staff wasn't very service oriented, they constantly ran out of everything - beer, drink ingredients, you name it! The food was mediocre. The bars didn't serve until an hour after they were opened... we heard quite a few other travelers say that the place had gone down hill from before and that other Sandals resorts are better... wish we knew that before we spent so much money...

This was our honeymoon. I have stayed at 5 star resorts, like Secrets Resorts, which were amazing... and I expected the same. However, Sandals was a step down. It wasn't horrible, just nothing impressed me... and I wanted more for our honeymoon. The room was not that clean, it was small and the service was very disappointing, which suprised me. We didn't get the turn down service we were told we would; the room service was very slow, the minibar was never stocked as we were told it would be, the food was ok but service was slow at the restaurants. The pool was the best part, but my husband was not happy that the pool bar opened late in the day (11am) and closed early (5:30pm) - wheen it's all inclusice, he felt that it should be open longer hours.

We were very disappointed overall. We have been to other all-inclusives, but not Sandals until this trip. We figured Sandals must be the greatest because of their high cost. The service staff was uninterested to the point of being rude. I could stand at a bar to get a drink and watch 4 bartenders have a private conversation for several minutes at at a time, never even acknowledging me being there. The pool was too cold to go swimming, not heated at all. We were there in late March. Also, chaises and towels were not available. If you didn't claim a chaise by 10 AM, you weren't getting one. Forget about towels. Reservations at restaurants were hard to get, need to call several days in advance. Overall, bad service. I will not ever consider staying at a Sandals again. Highest prices for worst service.

My fiance at the time and I stayed here for 10 days. We got married at the Gazebo and honestly we could not have predicted a better wedding and a better time. The people were so amazing and so friendly. the only problem we had was two days before our wedding my wedding dress, was being cleaned and it ws suppose to be returned to me by 5pm that day and it was not returned to me until the following morning, the day before our wedding. so needless to say i was a little bit agitated. Other then that the staff definatly made up for that, with the fantastic service, and amazing food. we will definatly be returning in the future.
