This was our first vacation to a tropical place and thought we were getting a first class beach vacation. The Sandals Inn looked nothing like the pictures. Sandals Inn is nothing more than an old hotel. The pictures portray a beach right out the front door but is really just a public place with some sand across the street from the hotel that you can use if you want to fend off the local people trying to sell you "smoke" and begging for money. Sandals Inn is located on a very busy street where local people hang out and play very loud music all night long. Sandals should not consider Sandals Inn as a resort but rather an all inclusive Motel. We were very disappointed with the Sandals Inn and spent the first two days trying to get moved to Sandals Montego Bay or Sandals Royal Caribbean whith no luck. Every morning we could not get up fast enough to leave Sandals Inn and go to Sandals Montego Bay or Sandals Royal Caribbean to spend the entire day at other locations. If we take another vacation to Jamaica we would take extreme caution where we book our stay.

Staying at Sandals Inn was the best choice I could had made. Other big hotels are far from everything and people can only stay and do things at the hotel. Sandals Inn is located next to shops and downtown. There are always taxis available that can take you where you want to go. The hotel also has shuttles that take you to the other Sandals Inn where you can enjoy the private beach and everything else. The staff was the best...I have never had so much attention like this trip. Everybody was always smiling and making sure you were having a good time. I recomend the tours because you get to see what Jamaica has for tourists. The hotel is also close to Margaritaville and the airport. You'll enjoy free beer at the airport and that is how the rest of the trip will be. Thank you to all the staff. It was a really nice weekend gateway. I loved it!

The Sandals Inn definitely has the biggest heart!! The staff was awesome. They made us feel like family and did anything they could to accommodate us. Due to the size of this resort, we met several other couples and made some good friends. We would definitely come to this resort again!!

We were totally misled about this hotel. There is a road between the hotel and the beach - at night cars raced up and down at all hours. The beach is a public beach and nothing like you see in the brochures - it is only about 50 yards long and there were usually more locals than tourists there. We had to go to the other resorts to enjoy the beach - they are nicer if you're going to Jamaica try one of them. While we were there, we went horseback riding and took a dinner cruise. The horseback riding was ok - drinks, food etc were not included .. The dinner cruise was disappointing because we expected dinner on the boat and instead we were taken to a local restraunt on the beach - we had to pay for our drinks there. The room was very clean, but the air conditioner cuts off any time the balcony door or the front door is opened and doesn't restart automatically. It was hot when we were there but I'm not sure the AC ever worked at all. The Sandals at Montego Bay and The Sandals Royal Caribbean are very nice and probably closer to the All-Inclusive experience you have had before - although the jets take off right over Sandals MoBay -it didn't bother us that much.

This is not a huge property by any means, but it is huge in the service and friendliness department. The GM knew our names by day 3, constantly asked how things were, and if they could do anything better. Although this hotel is literally right next to the main drag in MoBay, and yes it can be noisy, the ease of transfer from Sandal's to Sandal's makes it much better. Something is not clear on the Sandal's website is how the shuttles are run, they are NOT third party shuttles and therefore do NOT require tipping, which is a great thing. You can almost literally set your watch to the shuttles too. The beach across the street is probably the nicest one in MoBay, but it is public, so you do have locals using it and trying to sell you fruit and "other" things that are grown. They don't harass you too much though, just say "No thanks" and they leave you alone. At this resort they constantly have activities going on hence the comment big engine. If you choose a more relaxed environment, take the transfer to another resort, just come back here to sleep. We would suggest ear plugs if you are a light sleeper just due to the street noise. Great time overall and the food was very impressive!

This was our 4th time in the same hotel. We had our honeymoon there and return every 5 years. It's a great hotel for personal service and intimacy. The staff is very accommodating and Friendly. The day trip host([...])was very helpful in planning different getaways.Other staff members worth note are [...]-Reservationist,[...]-bellman, [...]-assistant manager,[...]-GM, [...]-dining manager,[...]-Chef,All the bartenders(rum punch mon),Day gate keeper(The warden-who kept us safe). All very friendly. And The food was wonderful too, especially a variety of delicious-brothy soups. The location of our room was a bit noisy but when we complained [...] quickly moved us to a different one. Also the rooms are spotless and quite comfortable.Make sure to get a message while there-very relaxing! All I can say is YEAH MON-EVERYTING IRIE!

We decided on the Sandals Inn after many nights of researching every resort in Jamaica on this site. We wanted something low key and relaxing and that is what we found. The food was good, the room comfortable, and a staff that made you feel like family. We were concerned at first when we arrived and found the pictures of the city around the resort where not accurate any longer. However once inside everything was wonderfull. Here are a few tips .......1)They want a imprint of a major credit card when you get there only for incidentals....Debit/bank cards dont seem to work. We only had the bank card so we had to pay with cash and it took a bit longer. So leave a deposit at the front desk for them to subtract your gift shop purchases from......2)Plan to go on some day trips. Dunns River Falls was the most memorable day the whole time there. Side note when taking personal items, the drivers are good and lock the van while gone. If you decide to take those items with you instead make sure they are in a zipper pocket or the Falls will keep them....3)Get up early and spend a day or two at the other 2 Sandals in Montego. They have the water sports and more food selections. Tokoyo Joes and OK Corral were fabulous. Have fun, we did and can't wait to go back.

A nice Sandals experience for a very reasonable price. You stay at the Inn, but take a shuttle bus day or night to two larger Sandals properties. The hotel is fine although the public beach across the street is noisy and busy all night. What is nicer than having a cocktail in the sun while there is 2 feet of snow at home?

Sandals Inn catered to a delightful group of international travelers the week my sister and me stayed. Even though Sandals is an adults couples resort, we felt welcomed and got only the occasional odd look from older men. The staff exuded the meaning of hospitality and friendliness. The hotel is located directly across the street from a popular public beach that we did visit briefly one evening. The fact that we got to use all three resorts (Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Royal Carribbean) was key to enjoying our stay. The most beautiful beach was at MoBay. We participated in water sports each day. Royal Carribbean was best for dining. Make reservations as early as possible. It's possible to have a fabulous time at the three resorts, we did venture out to Reggae SumFest. Wow! It's a serious (wicked bad) party! The only negative vibes I experienced were being overcharged for taxis. After figuring out how to get around outside of the resort, we were fine. Hotel staff arranged for transportation to and from a local church on Sunday. They really did go above and beyond to make us feel welcomed.

The Sandals Inn was very comfortable, however the a/c in room 103 was not working well when we checked in. After 2 nights we were moved to room 205 which was much cooler, however the TV did not pick up many channels. I reported this and later we could get more channels, but the TV was probably just too old. The weight room did not have A/C, but I went to sweat so I guess it didn't make eny differencel The staff was great; very helpful, friendly and made our stay wonderful.

Sandals Inn was a very nice older hotel with a great staff. Each staff member went out of their way to speak to you and make sure everything was in order. Nothing was unobtainable. The hotel was in a different neighborhood. ACROSS the street was a public beach with somewhat shady characters now and then. The ride to the other Sandals is not bad but actually getting ready and getting to the shuttle can be difficult when your on vacation :0). The other Sandals have TONS to offer and to spend less money for all of the amenities is a great value. The food was mediocre and drinks were mostly fruit and cream based. The only beer served was Red Stripe (the beer of Jamaica). Jamaica was not as tropical as Hawaii, nor as clean as I would have liked but it was an experience all in itself. I would not recommend Jamaica to a friend nor foe. It is a vacation that can be bypassed.
