| Extremely disappointed - especially for the price we paid. The food was very average and boring with little variety (nothing like what their website makes it out to be), the food availability was very poor. Was disgusted by the fact that we paid that much money and was stuck eating a hamburger. The service was slow. Concierge service refused to give us more than a couple of bottled waters a day.
There are 2 pools (one of which is 3 feet deep) and 2 whirlpools the website says 4 but the other 2 are private pools.
Most of the restaurants are only open for dinner. Breakfast & lunch is a buffet that did not change except for maybe one dish.
The place is a joke. |

Overall, My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. Friendly staff, great food & drinks, beautiful beach & views. Totally relaxing! Our room was very nice & comfortable (although one of the dressers was missing several knobs)& we had a problem with the toilet flushing, but maintenence quickly responded. Sandals is all-inclusive, but we generously tipped our favorite staff members for a job well done before our departure. We loved our island paradise vacation & would definitely consider returning next year.

We arrived at Sandals to find the main dining room terrace was closed for renovations and told by our initiation staff member that it MAY be open during our stay. The terrace was no where near completion and construction was the same when we left. Carpenters were hammering 5 feet outside our room until 5:00pm each day. Some employees were exceptionally friendly, others were not. While under a thatched umbrella one day at the beach, it started to sprinkle. The staff lifeguard lay right down beside us with his ipod in his ear and sang to the music then fell asleep. It took 5 staff members to wake him up at which time the all laughed and joked and greatly disturbed everyones peace and quiet. I had to ask them to please be quiet and they left. Other beach staff employees would gather in groups and laugh and joke in loud voices, disturbing the guests. The beach DJ was the most obnoxious self centered individual I have heard in a long time. He repeated the same music, very loud every day. Mostly rap music. What's wrong with island music? Bartenders at the beach hut bar were very slow. Service staff in the Oleander Room and Asian Restaurant were great, they really knew their business. Most service staff in the Bay restaurant appeared like they didn't want to be there and took their sweet time about everything. All in all, we would go back again but next time we would bring ear plugs for the beach.

We wouldn?t stay here again! We heard the planes overhead all day, everyday. The accommodations were old and lacking. The food was awful! To eat at the decent restaurants they require reservations, but since they are the only decent restaurants, reservations are often full. It was not a quite romantic getaway as my husband and I anticipated by the ads on the internet, commercials, etc. The staff were annoying by always interrupting you to ask if they could take a photo. Overall, we made the most of our trip, but we would not go back.

Everything was perfect! I cann't imagine a better vacation. Went with friends, and although the plan was to lay on the beach all week, we stayed very active! Playmakers are fantastic, and kept us involved in many things we otherwise would not have done! Evening entertainment was wonderful and the beach was beautiful. Couldn't believe the friendliness of staff! I am in customer service, and have very high expectations... they exceeded my expectations and then some! Everyone was friendly and more than accomodating. Snorkling was wonderful! Clive is an excellent guide and captain! This was to be a once in a life time trip...we are already making plans to return! Can't wait to get back!!!!!!

When our air conditioning went out they would have just fixed it or not have given us such a hard time about what was wrong. Instead of telling me well our tech says nothing is wrong with it when it is obviously blowing warm air on the coldest setting, they should have just put us in a different room but no I had to argue with them for 5 hours first and then the room we were put in had little bugs all over.

This was the vacation of all vacations. This was the first time my husband and I visited Jamaica and it definately not be our last, especially at Sandals Montego Bay. The entertainment staff is awesome. all the bartendars and resturaunt staff rated number one in hospitality. all smiles everywhere you went. Everyone greeted you with a smith, even the grounds staff. The food was delicious, your hospitality, service rated number one. Very romantic; had no time to pick out anything bad or any dislikes; had too much fun. We are already planning our next stay for our anniversary which is only five months away.

When we booked the honeymoon we thought we were going to this great resort; first of all it is right by the airport so you hear every plane that takes off and lands. Second, when you pull up to the resort you wonder where your money went it didn't have that 5 star feel like I expected. We had problems with a dog barking on the premisis ants in our room and they tell you won't be hasseled on the premisis but thats a lie. We had people coming over to us all the time trying to sell us everything under the sun. This resort may be good for some people but it's definately not a romantic getaway for honeymooners. The upside is the people there are great and will do whatever you ask.

The hotel rooms were nice and the beds were the best part of our stay- they are very comfortable. The food is hardly edible, and the staff was reluctantly pleasant. The drinks seemed to be watered down, and the noise from the airport is absolutley awful. There really isnt much to do in the evening. The beach is beautiful though and there are plenty of beach chairs and watersports anytime you want. I feel I paid too much for the trip for a subpar vacation.

The Sandals Mo Bay is probably the best hotel I stayed at. My husband and I enjoyed every waking moment of our stay. The airplanes did not bother us in the least as we might have thought. The clean rooms, beautiful beach and hardworking staff will make this vacation memorable.

If you are looking for a quiet place on the beach...this Hotel may not be what you are looking for. The Hotel was clean, lots of activities going on most of the day, great shows at night, friendly people. If you are looking for the party place...the Sandals Resort at Montego Bay is the place for you!

The only problem I have with the sandals resort, is it is right beside the montego bay airport. I believe many hotels are, and you really can't avoid it, unless you take an hour drive outside the city.
