Nice 3 star hotel. Our room was excellent, with a balcony and LOVELY view of Toscany fields, besides clean and wide. Staff people were Ok. Breakfast was poor (wasnt a buffet, they gave us a few breads, butter and jam and it was all, we couldnt eat more if we'd like). Location: it's very close to the St. Francis Basilica, although about a 10 min walking to the town's centre and restaurants. We'd stay there again.

The "10" rating for everything should say it all....We (me, my wife, and 13 year old daughter) had a fantastic time in Assisi, and would definately stay here again. The service and location was excellent.

Hotel St. Pietro is a clean, very convenient place to stay; if a bit somber. The breakfast was adequate but the cappuccino - I can say without exaggeration - is the worst in all of Italy! The staff was pleasant; but as my key was given directly to the elderly clerk/hop I was forced to let him take me - and my bag - to the room. I resented this. Avoid the restaurant above Hotel Berti - Albergo/Ristorante Rina- across the way from the St. Pietro. I went there mistakingly and had the worst meal of my trip. Hotel St Pietro wouldn't be my 1st choice for a return stay; but I would feel secure & confident in doing so if other options were bleak.

The hotel is accessible to major places; when I arrived at hte hotel, I asked them if they take AX card and the answer was yes. Yet when I paid, the hotel staff did not take my AX so I was forced to use the other card. I occasion of my visit is more of spiritual reconciliation and church history. It was wonderfully eye opening to learn the life of St Francis.

It was my first time in Hotel San Pietro. I found a good hotel with a good price for Assisi. I found really good to park the car in hotel free parking. It'll be my Assisi's reference hotel.

The man (I think he was the hotel owner because he was well dressed and old) who served my payment at check-out said that my credit card was not effective because machine did not accept it. I finally paid by cash (I went to ATM in town because I did not have such amount of cash with me) after his several tryings. At next hotel, I realized that the old man of San Pietro had mistaken card direction when inserting to the machine. A man who serves the payment must know the credit card treatment, which is minimum condition for all hotel men.

San Pietro is a small hotel but really very close to the "Basilica". The rooms and bathrooms are very small. Breakfast is not so good.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel San Pietro, in Assisi, July 2006. The room was OK and the breakfast OK as well. The staff was nice and helping us with informations. The only problem we had was the air conditioning. It was terribly hot and the manager was always turning it off during the time we were in the bedroom!

This was a good hotel for our two day stay and very close to the Basillica of St Francis. Some lovely restaurants nearby . Recommend a taxi from the station with luggage- ours was reasonably priced. Great views from Hotel Giotto's balcony -we just went for drinks and the view, Great exercise up and down the hills of Assisi. Next time I would stay near the Basillica of St Clare for a change. It is hard to choose between the two areas.

An excellent hotel. Just inside the San Pietro gate from the bus stop from the train station (explicit directions from the train station might be a helpful addition to the website...), it was close enough to the Basilica for easy access but shielded from the noise and day-tripper crowds. It is at the low side of town, so if the walk to dinner is mostly uphill, the walk back after the passagiatta in the Piazza Commune is downhill. The hotel looked to have been well cared for and the rooms were easily the most attractive of our Italy trip.

I had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were helpful and discreet. The Hotel is well placed for buses. The Basilica of St. Frances is close by and it is possible to walk to many other places of interest. I would certainly use this Hotel again.

Clean, well run and close to the Basilica of Saint Francis (5 minutes walk!) are its good points. The room we got was small but clean. We had a good view of the valley. The staff spoke English well and were helpful. The best part is the private parking up the street. The hotel faces an exit to the walled town, but I didn't notice much noise. I liked this hotel. It is a bit of a walk
