When we first arrived the bathroom floor was very nasty. Requested a wake up call and the receptionist did not put in the request. Missed an appointment and we missed breakfast. called the front desk and the receptionist said something must be wrong with the telephone. this was a lie because we had no problems with our telephone. My friend was using the toilet and water came down from the ceiling on her head and all over the bathroom floor. Called maintenance and we thought they repaired the water leak. Two or three days later I walked in the bathroom and the floor and toilet was covered with water from the leaking ceiling. called maintenance and they said the hot water heater was broken. called the front desk 2 hours prior to checking out to inform the hotel will would be checking out in two hours and we needed a taxi at 7pm. our taxi showed up at 7:10pm and the taxi driver charged us an extra 6 aed because the hotel requested the taxi for us. i told the taxi driver we should not have to pay an extra 6 aed because he was 10 minutes late. taxi driver said the traffic is bad in Dubai. I called orbitz to complain about this hotel. No compensation for the inconvenience from Orbitz or San Marco Hotel. Just an apology from the hotel and Orbitz.

Very good budget hotel. Hard to find. Friendly staff. You really need to rent a car and on top of that you have to pay for parking. Overall very good hotel for the price.

Good location. Nice pool, but no shadow. Strange breakfast. Very servimended staff. OK rooms with TV - BBC World. Walking distance to the creek, and only 10 km from the airport. In rush-hour however, it can take up to 2 hours wiht the local bus! In a taxi it can be done in 45 minutes in rush-hour, but expect long wait for at Taxi (as is the case in all of Dubai). I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for cheap, central, clean accomodation. Russian speaking staff (lots of russian tourist on package tour). The hotel has free daily shuttles to different locations in Dubai twice a day. The location depends on the day of the week and time of day. Usually a beach in the morning and a part of Dubai in the afternoon.

A long way by taxi to the flash end of town but close to the airport and souks. Very polite helpful staff :-)

The hotel overall for the budget traveller is ok. Breakfast was acceptable. Rooms clean and staff friendly and helpfull. One concern however was the difficulty of getting a taxi for an early flight, as the bellboy resorted to trying to hail a cab on what was a quiet street. Also, if you like alchohol don't go during Ramadan. No facilities in or anywhere near this hotel. Nearest is the Hyatt hotel about 15 mins walk, which opens it's bar at 7 pm.

we are quite satisfied with the quality of the facilities provided in the hotel. front desk staff is nice and helpful and courteous. room service staff is quite efficient and well mannered. all in all it was a good experience. no music no dance parties . so it was very tranquil atmosphere at night. Well done. Keep it up.

Very basic, but handy place to stay in Dubai. I've stayed there more than once, as it's probably the lowest price accommodation in town and have enjoyed staying there. Prices include a rather mediocre breakfast, but you get what you pay for. There are plenty of excellent and interesting places to eat nearby. Staff are friendly and helpful - I'd happily stay there again in future.

Not a fantastic venue, quite expensive for what you get. Bed lumpy with old springs and a very noisy location.

Small rooms but clean. Nicely situated in arab part of Dubai. Very helpfull and nice peaople. It is in a situation of renovating.

The hotel was quite far from the centre of Deira - about 20mins brisk walk - and you really need to get taxis everywhere. The room was clean, but there was a bit of mould on the shower. Breakfast was reasonable, staff were ok, but don't believe them when they say taxis arrive shortly after ordering! I was a bit frustrated that the pool was closed, but for the price paid, for a budget hotel this place is fine.

Great location in Deira. Near the Jumeirah public beach. Clean. However, ask to have your room far from the lifts -- the dinging can be annoying at night. Great buffet breakfast included in the room rate. Would stay again.
