San Lorenzo a Linari

Linari is a medieval monastery located in the wonderful Montagnola area 8 km southwest of Siena. Built in the llth century, it was converted to a grand country 500 years later by renowned Sienese architect Baldassarre Peruzzi. The apartments, furnished with antiques and traditional Tuscan furniture have modern kitchens and bathrooms. While some are more luxurious than others, they are all bright and comfortable. Our guests enjoy 2 swimming pools (one for children), a tennis court (lessons possible) and table tennis. A poolside snack bar is open during the summer season. In addition, there are lovely grounds for dining, lounging or playing ball. We arrange tours of Chianti, San Gimignando and Volterra, tours of Brunello, tours of Siena and of Florence, tours of crystal, cooking lessons and course of ceramic, hiking and biking in Tuscany, horseback riding, hot air ballooning, tours of oil & truffle, canoeing, quad trips, offroad trips, sail boating with skipper visiting the Tuscan archipelago. All the excursions, lessons and tours are arranged at the Residence. Our driving-guides will pick you up directly at the Residence and take you to the departure point of the tour/lesson and back unless otherwise stated. In the ancient cellars of the villa is located the fantastic Beauty Farm Center wich space includes a sauna, jacuzzi, hamman, balneothalasso and a chromotherapeutic shower. Also offered are a variety of beauty treatments including massage (relaxing, shiatsu, detoxing), facials, body treatments, manicures and yoga.
