The web site showed credit cards accepted. A credit card sticker is displayed at the front desk. At checkout I was told "no credit cards". I had to run around to find an ATM and mess around with getting the proper withdrawl. WE MISSED OUR TRAIN....

Great hotel, and it's hard to beat the location - it's located right beside Mercato Centrale, so at night after a day out sightseeing in Florence, we could come back and have our choice from dozens of restaurants all right within a few hundred meters of the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

A simple hotel, but very clean and in a very central location. At a short walking distance by the station.

Our first night was above the main street and it was VERY loud but they moved our rooms after that and it was more quiet (right beside breakfast dining area though so set up at 6am woke us up). Staff was extremely nice and responsive. With previous warning we made sure we had a map that had the name of the small street on the map itself (not named on free tourist maps). Great for our needs but no is there to buzz you up if you are out between 12am and 7am. Hotel is 2 doors down from our favorite restaurant in Italy!

The Hotel was quite near to the railway and it is only 10 min walk. The Hotle is on the 3rd floor with no elevator. If some one has kids and big lugguage then this hotel may not be the right choice. Though the staff was very helpful but do not speak english. The room alloted to us was in the 4th floor and the way to go to that floor was very narrow.Even the room was not so good. The person at the reception was very good and helped us to transfer our lagguage to the room. It has a shared bath room and whenever some uses that one the door makes a sound and disturbs everyone on the floor.

Nice little hotel very close to Firenze city center. The staff was very friendly! If you have problem with staircases, avoid this hotel. A lot of difficult stairs to climb and no elevator. Our room was on the top floor, and the ceiling was very low. On some spot I could even reach it with my head (and I'm 1.74 tall). The shower was shared I think - there was some knocking on the door while I was in there, and it's outside the room actually. The breakfast was very minimal, don't expect something special. But to be honest - all that wasn't really important for me so I enjoyed the stay in this hotel.

Despite having our toilet just across the hallway outside our room and the shower in the bedroom (with no separate room)the stay was great. The neighburhood is a bit noisy but all of Florence is really, just wear earplugs! Would stay here again for sure!

I feel bad but this hotel was really gross. The towels were like newspaper and the comforter on the bed had coodies on it like it had been in rotation for 20 years. The bed was a full size cot with springs poking our backs. The shower was a little damaged. The room was pretty depressing.

The staff are helpful but unfortunately most of them do not speak English. In comparison with the B&B I stayed in Venice, I felt that the quality of the B&B in Venice was much better, for the same price. Also the hotel is located on the 4th/5th floor, so it is very tiring to lug suitcases up so many steps. However, the hotel is conveniently located next to the street market, and is also within walking distance to the train station.

Thought I spent some time to find this hotel in complex Florence streets, shortly I find it is quite convenient. It is near San Lorenzo Market, train station and main attractions. The staff is very friendly. The room I stayed is spacious for two people and the toilet is clean. I will stay in this hotel if I visit Florence again.

Hotel San Lorenzo was a great place for my stay in Firenze. The location was excellent being near majority of attractions in walking distance as well as phones, internet points, tabacchi shops, restaurants, stores and the markets. I was quoted a price on the internet and when I got threre, I was told different; however, the staff understood and willingly charged me the lower price I was quoted. I would definitely reccomend staying here.

This hotel had an excellent location, close to the train station, but walkable to any of the sites. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was not airconditioned, but ok with a fan, but we had to keep the windows open and night. The neigborhood was very noisy, with clatter from garbage trucks, street sweepers, neighbors' TVs, etc. The room was not fancy but adequate. The bathroom was fine, but the shower had a half tub which was awkward to use.

San Lorenzo is is very well located in the heart of the city and very close to the train station. Our family(four adults) stayed in one room which was very spacious and comfortable. The staff at the hotel was very welcoming and helpful.

The location was great, near the bus, train stations and the Mercado Centrale. The climb up the flight of stairs with luggage was difficult. Unusual bathroom and shower, no curtain. Come armed with e-mailed confirmation price quote, may need it.
