Description:
A stay at The Samuel Sewall Inn offers the opportunity to experience Victorian accommodations which couple Old World charm and elegance with modern comforts. We pride ourselves on our unique setting and convenient locale. Furthermore the Samuel Sewall Inn was awarded 2004 Best Customer Service by Arringtons Inn Traveler Magazine. We are fifteen minutes from downtown Boston by trolley and within walking distance of a wonderful shopping area. Typical of a Victorian home no two rooms are exactly alike. With high ceilings and large windows this spacious house is ideal as a bed and breakfast. The 117-year-old house has been restored to its original splendor using period antiques fine wallpaper and draperies. The owner an award-winning historical preservationist has established a wonderful collection of antiques showcased in each room. He has restored each room to a perfect balance of color fabric and history. Today The Samuel Sewall Inn serves as a retreat from the whirl of downtown Boston. Guests are able to remain close to the cultural and business centers of the city yet return to the tranquility of the Inn. The Samuel Sewall Inn is a memorable experience. Allow us to be your home while you visit Boston.

I had lived near Coolidge Corner in Brookline years ago and this is close to my old neighborhood. Quiet, small and personal, and close to public transportation. Rooms (and beds!)were comfortable and we were delighted to be able to say in a place that didn't smack of "hotel." Close to our son, who lives in a studio which couldn't accomodate us. We will return, for sure!

We were very pleased with our stay at the Samuel Sewall Inn. Although we were only there for one night, we were very impressed with the Inn staff, especially Astrid, who was very helpful in providing us maps and directions to local restaurants. The Inn is located only one block from the train, which provided quick easy access into the City. Breakfast was excellent and the Inn has refreshments and snacks avialable throughout the day. I would not hesitate to stay here again when visitnig the Boston area. Parking is tight on the Inn grounds and travelers sjhould be aware that there is a *fee for parking.

This was our first experience with a bed and breakfast and it was wonderful. Very convenient to public transportation, large comfortable room, and the breakfast was fantastic. We had one problem with the temperature in the room and it was corrected immediately upon reporting it to the innkeeper on duty.

The Samuel Sewell Inn was very relaxing, beautifly appointed in the room and in the common area. The staff was very helpful about transportationto Fenway Park and Fanuil Hall. The bed was SSSUPERR!!!!Our room felt like we could have left the door open, because of the friendly enviroment. Breakfast was delicious. My husband and I had a wonderful 40th wedding anniwersary. Fenway Park was only four short T-Stops away. We have started recommending the Inn.

I would definitely return to the hotel. It was so easy to walk around Brookline and even to the MFA in Boston! The staff was very helpful with directions and the breakfast was wonderful.

The Samuel Sewall Inn is located in Brookline, MA, and the Victorian Age. The friendly staff is unobtrusive; the ambience charming; and the convenient location is very nearby Boston Mass Transit options. Though Victoriana informs the decor throughout the 14 available rooms, travellers will be relieved to find free internet connections and cable tv in most rooms.A quiet breakfast buffet and round-the-clock snacks served in the entry sitting room , or garden area weather permitting, make even the weariest traveller sigh comfortably. Onsite parking is another plus. Highly recommended.

The Samuel Sewall Inn was like a hidden oasis, extremely convenient for Boston travel. The location is ideal. It is situated in a clean, quiet neighborhood and only a few blocks from the T. This inn was ideal for a weekend getaway combining the excitement of Boston with the quiet comfort of a country inn.

I was very pleased with my accomodations. I arrived late, and found I had been upgraded to a large king size room with a tub. It was very comfortable and I slept in the most comfortable bed I ve ever slept in, in my LIFE!! The breakfasts were very good, and availability of information on the neighborhood was excellent. All is all..I would thoroughly recommend this b and b to family and friends. I am a female, and was staying alone, and felt very safe in the hotel, and in the neighborhood.

The Samuel Sewall Inn is very nice inn just outside of Boston. Our room was quite nice and rather spacious. The Brookline location is excellent. It is just a one block walk to the T and a short ride into town. Parking is provided for guests, although the lot is a bit tight. Highly recommended.

We just loved this Inn. The staff was wonderful and accomodating, the room was charming. I was impressed with the overall quality of the entire Inn experience! We were in Boston for a two day getaway. The location is ideal for transit around Boston. The train stopped one block from the Inn. Super convenient. Easy access to Fenway park, too!

This is the first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast, and have decided this is the way to go!. Each room was different with its own shower/bathroom area. The mattress was the best I've ever slept on! Breakfast was always a welcome, delicious on-site ammenity that you could eat in the parlor or the outside garden deck. You could get coffee, tea, juice, milk and cereal all day for a snack. The subway was 1 block away, and the setting was in a neighborhood of other large homes. We took a walk around the neighborhood and loved looking at all the beautiful old homes. It was very quiet and safe.

The Samuel Seawall Inn is a great alternative for a person who is looking to get away from the usual hotel rooms. I was traveling for a month in June and did not want to stay in another boring hotel room. The Samuel Seawall Inn provides a nice, homelike atmosphere. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean. Also, there is a full suite of cable channels. An added benefit is a DVD player. If you are looking to grab a bite to eat, there is a nice restaurant called Jae's just around the corner that has great service and serves excellent crab cakes and drinks. I recommend Samuel Seawall Inn for the weary business traveler looking for something different.
