We were not interested in gambling but very much enjoyed the beautiful rooms at Sam's Town and we liked the restaurants also. It was a very enjoyable stay for a great price during the week.

We stayed at Sam's Town Hotel/Casino. All the staff was very helpful & friendly. We have stayed here before and we always have a good experience. The location of the hotel is very good with easy access to other attractions in the area. Would recomend a stay there.

The hotel was lovely with a beautiful room. Very small casino. The shower handle fell off of the shower. The air conditioner didn't work. Also, it was me and my 14 year old and I was provided 1 king bed. The hotel would not provide a room with two beds or a smoking room. Overall, service was good.

If you are looking for a casino, steer clear of Sams Town Shreveport!! Hotel was nice, but where's the casino? Typical BOYD formula, lots of money making slots for them, no casino for you, just a tiny slot parlor. If you want a real casino, steer clear of Boyd properties

We stayed here for my husbands b-day. The resturant in the casino had very slow service and when the food did arrive it was cold. The rooms "appeared" to be clean. When we pulled the covers back that night to go to sleep...HUGE STAIN!!! And to top off the stain was HAIR! Too nasty! We had to wait almost an hour to get someone up there to change the sheets. Then when I complained again in the morning I was told I would be comped. Never happened. If you stay here...Check the sheets!!!!

I really enjoyed my stay. Casinos usually have long wait times to check-in but not this one! Very courteous, fast check-in. My room was fantastic. I expected I would be assigned a room without a view because the price was so low, but that's not the case at all.Had a beautiful riverfront view. Very clean and beautifully decorated.No smoke smell like most casino hotels. Couldn't ask for more.

The cleanliness of the hotel was commendable. While my husband and I were in and out both days because of family activities, the valet service and security offered was fantastic. We were entering during late hours after celebrating with the family. We enjoyed the stay.

I took my family along with me on this business trip. Room was a very nice large room. Buffet was ok, but Smoking Joe's resturant inside the hotel was by far the best. Be sure to check it out. The kids loved the pool. Only downside, Valet parking scratched my car.

We've been to Shreveport many times and really enjoy it. Sam's Town has very nice hotel rooms, very roomy with large bathrooms and a good view of the river. I had reserved a smoking room and told at check-in it was a smoking room. After getting to the room and calling down for an ashtray I was told that my whole floor was non-smoking, but I could smoke by the elevators. Otherwise everything was great and we will return.

I love the hotel the room was very spacious and the bathroom was big.The only thing I didn't like was the casino; it was to small and wasn't paying anything. The food was ok.The staff was very freindly, I would love to stay there again!

The hotel staff couldnt even believe that we got such a cheap rate for our room. The lowest they ever offer is $70 on a week night and I booked ours through Cheartickets for $65 a night. Thanks for saving me money.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Of course we didn't expect to win any money. Playing slots is no way to win. They were tight. But the hotel and casino were very nice. I didn't like the cocktail waitresses due to rude behavior when i asked for a drink. Thought thats what they are there for. All and all it was a pleasent stay with courtious staff and nice rooms.

Overall, this is a great hotel. It's location right on the river is great and the Louisiana Boardwalk is less than 5 minutes away. The one way streets make it a little difficult to get there but it's worth it. Didn't go to the casino. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are very large and wonderful for long baths.

"Rooms were large, internet access was excellent and the meals in the restaurants were superb. There is valet parking attached to the hotel and free parking in a secure garage across the street, which is connected with a skybridge."
