This is a beautiful hotel set in what must be the best location in Bodrum. The hotel is made up of two parts and the standard of rooms vary , all are clean and presentable the one we stayed in had a sea view 413 and also on the day of leaving the room we were given to use for the last few hours( a charge of £30 was made) from 12pm - 23.00pm was equally as good 819 (superior). The hotel is on many levels so is not ideal if you are not fit or infirm. Being on the waters edge with its own beach much of the social side eists either around the beach bar or the pool side bar. The pool is beautiful and is great for all the family but be aware there is no shallow end, there is a small kiddies pool. There is a children play are but watch out for the Seesaw as a few kids came off this whilst we were there. The staff were most helpful and polite nothing was too much trouble. Dining was done from the evening buffet this is geared towards Turkish food with little that will appeal to the younger diner, all the food is freshly prepared as does not stand out for too long before dining. The hotel is pricey when it comes to drinks this you need to be aware of as they operate a card charge system and do not take cash for the drinks then and there. However you can settle your bill on a daily basis by going to reception. Getting into Bodrum from the hotel can be done via a Watertaxi from the small jetty at the end of the beach 4 Turkish Lira , by Taxi from reception 13 Turkish Lira or by Dolmus. This time we did not venture on them as it was too hot 41 degrees. For children if one books through First Choice there is a kids club run most days, if however you are relying on the hotel for entertainment suitable for children don't, there is none at the moment something the hotel should remedy. Evening entertainment during high season is provided for adults. All in all we had a great time and would go back to stay.

Not well maintained, dark. Lots of rooms with nice views, but they gave me one without. Terrible buffets in the main restaurant - the other one's probably ok, but it was closed.

Salmakis Beach Resort and Spa Bodrum is a right and comfortable choice for Bodrum.
